Stand Up! The Work Break Timer User Reviews

My old joints and muscles thank you!

Tipping to get the extra sounds was worth every penny. For years I have been able to ignore notifications and sounds on phones. Having a sound option different from the standards jumps out at me. That means I stop, get up to phone and stretch. I work with multiple electronic devices and monitors all day. If I don’t get up regularly then I pay for it. Thank you for getting me up.

Great features; incredible support!

I was looking for an app that would remind me to take medication every so often throughout the day - for some reason this is harder to find than you might think! This app got me almost all the way there and when I used the in-app feature to ask a follow up question, not to set any precedents or expectations here, but I got an email back from one of the developers within 10 minutes. Yowza! Anyway. Great app, great team.

Really great app

Awesome and simple app. You can customize how often you want the reminders to get up. Makes a big difference when you get busy with work and forget to get up. Love it.
Good idea app developers. Maybe in the future provide weekly report automatically. Also, consider using data from wearables to detect whether the user actually stood up and adjust your timer accordingly.

Easy and helpful

A great tool to get up and move, to work better

What I needed and more

This app was exactly what I needed. I am extremely bad at remembering to take breaks if I am sitting at my desk for hours (sometimes 12+ hours nonstop). As a result I get lower back pain often. I use this app to remind me to get up and stretch every hour for five minutes between 10 AM and 10 PM. It tells me when to stand up and when I can sit back down. These times are all customizable. This app is very simple and easy to use. You can long press on the Lock Screen to bring up multiple options. The interface is clean and pleasant to look at. Well done!

No need to buy Apple Watch just use this app

This app sends stand up reminders very well. One suggestion is to add an option that “I was already standing up few minutes ago” in notification snooze options.
Or even better suggestion is to let this app access steps / health data from iPhone and check if I was already standing up in last hour.

MISSING SNOOZE FUNCTION

Many Thanks for this Great, FREE, App. It is Near Perfect but for the fact that there’s No Snooze for the “Take A Break” Notification. Once the “I’m Up” is activated, it WILL automatically end at the Set duration and starts the preset “Break” timer.

For example, if the preset Stand is 15 mins. and for Break is 45 mins., a 30 mins. Walk will still be timed as 15 mins. Up and 45 mins. Break.

With a 30 mins. or 1 hour Snooze available to manually extend the Up time, this would be a “Must Have” App, especially for people who wear Apple Watch because the in-built Stand App is way below par.

Please, also, do consider adding simultaneous Notification to both the iPhone and Watch when the iPhone’s screen is On. Some Battery Apps require the screen to remain On whilst charging to trigger the Full Charged alarm.

Currently, without simultaneous notifications, we’re left with No Stand Notification on our Watch whilst charging our iPhone with the screen On.

Really helped my sore back

Highly recommended during Covid as I’ve been sitting down a lot longer than normal in front of the computer

Great app! One suggestion so far

Any chance you guys could make an option where we decide on our own to take a break, that way the timer restarts when we say we’re back. I frequently will have to get up for some reason but then when I get back I will be reminded to stand as if I haven’t been (since the app doesn’t know). But I will have to get back to work so it kind of throws the whole thing off, especially if you do this (take breaks on your own) throughout the day and on your own time.

Great little app, helping my RSI a lot

I thought I stood up and took breaks a lot, but turns out when your watch tells you to do it every 20 minutes you realise you weren’t doing it enough.

For me the break is critical: no point being deep in focus if your RSI is so crippling that you can’t work! 😕

This is a great app, I like that it doesn’t look like everything else, and it’s free with a tip system. So tip your developer, people, it’s only a few dollars.

Stay safe, devs. Thanks for this. xo
