Not worth it. Doesn't have Pizza listed
  • Doesn't replace a simple Web search

The photos are nice, but it's by no means a comprehensive directory of foods. In fact, for the price, the number of foods seem to be very limited. 30 seconds on your favourite search engine would uncover a number of sites that provide similar information for free.

Then there is the discriminatory pricing. I don't have a Facebook or Twitter account so I'm forced to pay more than twice the amount of those who do. Well, that's if I were motivated to buy the full app. I'll keep my money for now.

  • Not accurate

I question the accuracy of the calorie counts. There is no way 1.5 oranges have 200 calories when an orange is 45 calories a piece for a medium sized orange. 2.5 red bell do not have 200 calories peppers when 1 red bell has 30-40. This app must be more accurate if it's purporting to inform people about calorie count by showing photos. I wouldn't purchase additional photos.

  • Not free, most pictures locked

Who will pay for that? I can just google it in less time than looking in this stupid app
  • Not enough items

Very disappointed - not enough basic items such as nuts, steak, ice cream & yoghurt. Not happy as I paid for the extra pics. It needs updating with many more pics!
  • Ok but not worth keeping unless they plan on adding into this

It's quiet well done but very basic. A bit annoying that you have to scroll down long lists ... There is a search function but it would be nicer that instead of seeing everything in each category, they just give you a list of categories first that you choose from and then you can search within that/scroll with that because there's too much scrolling. I was looking for doughnuts (which btw, they've spelt wrong) and had to scroll forever, which when looking at pictures only is a little disorientating .... The pictures should also have names attached so that you can read because looking at a bunch of pictures all together doesn't really work well.

Also, I had a CONSTANT message telling me to connect to the internet which I was and I couldn't get rid of this. Most apps have an about page which gives you somewhere to contact the developers, there is no such thing on this app.

It's a good idea and it looks good but they still need to do quiet a lot of work to this for me to consider even keeping it on, I have limited space on my phone and at the moment it's nothing particularly great so I'm going to delete it.

  • Inaccurate

Honestly I don't think a lot of these photos are correct. Look at brown vs. white rice for example. The concept of this app doesn't work if it doesn't have pics of every possible food. And charging for a few pics is a silly way to make some money. Overall: fail
  • Interesting

I found this interesting. Whether or not you but added pics, you start to get the idea. And though this is in metrics, it is easy to find conversions on google. 2.76 lbs of celery to 200 cal? Hungry?
  • Ignore the naysayers!

It does EXACTLY what it proposes to.

The photos are great and it's a real eye opener as to what you get for your 200 calories!!

A fantastic tool to share with kids to help them make better choices.

    Great work guys!
  • Not much to look at even after in app upgrade!

I saw this advertised on the Daily Mirror website and though this looked pretty useful. The upgrade to see 'all' food was £1.99 but when I say 'all' food, theres really not much on there at the moment. Just a snapshot of food basics. Very basics. The search is therefore not very useful as half of the things I searched for weren't on. Also the compare choses pre determined compares rather than 2 you pick yourself. It looks nice, don't get me wrong but it is not very useful. Perhaps as it expands to include cooked foods maybe, takeaways, meal examples maybe. Otherwise you can look up most of these free on other free apps like My Fitness Pal which is far more comprehensive.
