My overall thoughts on Chime
For me, Chime has been the best bank I have ever had. Offering overdraft protection without fees, leaving me the option to tip has been a game changer. I can’t say how much I appreciate this feature. The customer service is pretty good. They usually get in touch in a timely manner. Again, I appreciate this as well. There have been times that were my mistake. Like a lost debit card. They provided a way for me to still have access to my funds while I waited for my new card. To my knowledge, I think they went above and beyond by not charging for the extra card and sending me my new card quickly-within a few days. The only thing that has changed for me is payday. My payday through employer is Friday but I get paid two days early until recently. It is now only 1 day early. At the time I had all my bills set for the Wednesday so it was a little bit of a mess. I have learned my lesson the hard way. My response was they don’t hold our pay. So I’m not sure why this has happened. I don’t like it but it is what it is. It may seem trivial to some so that’s it in a nutshell. Overall they are great-customer service is good. No fees is for real. Boost. Overdraft protection. Love Chime…only one problem
I can honestly say I really enjoy the service that chime has given me since I’ve started. Everything about Chime is exactly what I was looking for, especially the zero anxiety of dealing with someone face-to-face. Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with going into a bank and handling business, but I’m a very simple individual and I don’t need all of that. This is were I believe Chime excels through their app in so many ways. Now the only problem that I have is being charged a fee when depositing my cash at the selected locations available for Chime customers. Before all this I used to go to Walgreens do my deposit at the register, and there was no fee whatsoever for doing so. Somewhere along the line that had to stop and ever since then I’ve had to pay at the locations that I go to between CVS and Walgreens a fee of $4.95. This is an entire issue to me especially when I’m depositing for example $60 and before you know it I’m actually depositing $60 but I have to shell out an additional $5 dollars just to pay for the fee for depositing my money into Chime. Total robbery! Moving forward I hope one day chime can change this because you guys are awesome, I love you guys, and I am going to continue on this wonderful service that you have provided for me from now and it the future and so on and so forth 😂Show lessAntheoryist
Best and simple way to recover your lost or stolen funds!!
I was impatient to carry out necessary research but I really wanted to jump on the crypto trading and investment buzz. Unfortunately for me, I invested 75,700 USD worth of bitcoin with a fraudulent company. I was happy to watch my account grow to 214,575 USD within a couple of weeks. But I didn't realize I was dealing with a scam company, until I tried to make an attempt to withdraw. I made a withdrawal request, and noticed my account was suddenly blocked for no apparent reason. I tried contacting customer support, but all to no avail. I needed my money back at all cost, because I could not afford to let it go. So I tried all possible means to make sure I recovered my scammed bitcoin. I did a lot of online search for help, and tried to see if there were other people who had any similar experience. I stumbled upon a cryptocurrency forum were a couple of people mentioned that they had been through the same process but were able to recover their lost cryptography funds with the help of RemotePundit So I file a report on RemotePundit @ Gmail and he was able to help me get back all my lost funds withing 2 weeks I feel indebted to him. Watched this guru on TV being interviewed about how easily it is for our phones to get hacked without being noticed that it has been tampered with so I had to listen attentively to the conversation between him and the interviewer. During the interview the man demonstrated and hacked the interviewer’s phone and was in full control of it and I was reall shocked with what he was doing and how unbelievable it was, after the show, I quickly went online to search for him and luckily I found him. I explained my whole situationke to him and how my husband was behaving and also how he changed password to his phone, the Hacker asked for my husband’s number with some other details which I gave to him for the job. He proceeded with his job, within two hours I was in full control with my husband’s phone, I mean I was seeing everything he does from his phone on my phone, I even got both his recently and newly deleted messages back.

Helped credit score
Have accounts with most major banks and Chime has by far been my favorite. Much more convenient, accessible and easy to use. Specifically, Chimes secured credit card (using your OWN money and thus can’t spend more than you have) has raised my credit score about 25 points since I started using it about 1.5-2 years ago. The app itself is very helpful and easy to navigate, especially compared to Chase or BoA. Features such as bill payment, instant savings transfers, credit builder, “Spot Me,” easy ATM access, and direct deposit are great options. Depending on your employer, you may also have the opportunity to get your paycheck 2 days earlier than normal.
The downsides are very minimal; No checks are issued (some jobs require a voided check for DD), there’s no physical location (it is an online banking app after all) and their customer support isn’t great but I’ve rarely needed to call them.
Overall, Chime is a great online banking app and it’s helped me build my credit back up. Even if you already have a bank account with a larger bank, I would still recommend having Chime just in case. ALSO, if you’re a parent, this app (along with the secured credit builder card) is an amazing way to start building your child’s credit.Show lessMFFgreedyMF

Now complete with outside advertisements on the front page of the app. It gets worse and worse. To everyone getting their money stolen by Chime I highly advise filing FDIC complaints which you can do online. Update notes aren’t a place for your bad jokes. The application is mediocre and the developers act like kids. Kids who get to secure access to your accounts. The only reason this app is so highly rated is dumb people rating the service and not the application. So let’s do that. It’s not a real bank account and many services won’t recognize it or it’s “debit card”. My card hasn’t worked right in chip readers 90% of the time and I’ve replaced it multiple times. Credit builder won’t let you choose any number to move money over. It will only choose large numbers based on a high percentage of your balance. An adult bank should let me make adult choices. A quarter of the app is dedicated to advertisements that are misleadingly presented as tailored offers for you, but rest assured they’re just ads. If you have to use their slow and confused customer service then expect to bombarded with multiple unsolicited emails acting as if it’s your duty to rate the service you received and including ramping verbiage about how you still haven’t fulfilled your responsibility. I’ve been using Chime for a little over a year now & I absolutely love it! I love the convenience of being able to manage all my accounts from my phone, & the app is very user friendly & simple to navigate. One of the biggest reasons I’ve heard others say they are reluctant to use Chime is not being able to go into a physical bank location if they have a problem with their account. However every time I have had questions or issues & used the chat feature, my problems were resolved right away! I also love that there are NO OVERDRAFT FEES & you get a REAL TIME BALANCE!!! The reason I left my previous bank for Chime is because they were very slow to post transactions; so I’d check my balance & think I had enough to to pay a large bill only to find out days later that I did not have enough money & then get hit with a $30 overdraft fee EVERY SINGLE DAY MY ACCOUNT WAS NEGATIVE. With Chime, you can see your pending charges, & they will even spot you up to a certain amount until your next pay day if you accidentally overdraw your account! If you do accidentally overdraw & don’t have enough funds available in Spot Me credit, they just decline the transaction instead of hitting you with overdraft fees. I love Chime!
I have never worked w a better online bank than Chime! IT’s security is Top Notch!! I had a company that I have never visited knew nothing about try to take out a payment from my card. It over 100 payment and Chime Notified me immediately! They texted my number and asked me if I had approved that purchase! It was a simple solution: “reply yes or no.” I replied:” No” of course & they wouldn’t allow the company to withdraw the money out of my account, and for that I am very grateful. You have an option to go over on ur account as well and pay it back later! I’ve had to use that a few times. I strongly recommend tipping chime so that feature stays available and in tact! The credit builder card is Amazing it works for itself helping with providing you a credit score you can be proud of! There are no unexpected fees they try charge you! I have no complaints when it comes to chime! I love it! However, I wish there were more ways to talk to someone w chime or when a person does try to order something using ur number other than u if chime would offer more details about the transaction purchase and company it was purchased from. Wonderful app
I love using Chime, there are so many good things about it. Chime lets you transfer money to savings or anyone instantly, you have 24/7 access to the app to check your balance and when you purchase something it deducts it automatically from your balance, it automatically transfers money to your savings with every purchase you make which is really helpful with saving, if you’re ever in a bad situation they will spot you $25 with no charge and every month your friend can send $5 boosts each friend and that adds on to the $25 so that’s is very useful when in a tight situation (usually around bill time for me), it lets you lock your card if you lost it/left it at home/ are not using it, it lets you have 24/7 access to your card number on the app if you left your card at home or you want to make a purchase online and don’t want to dig your card out of your purse/wallet, and it lets you receive your paycheck 2 days early. My only complaint is the receiving your paycheck 2 days early, sometimes they are slow on that and I only get 1 day early, but I’m still getting it early so it’s not a big problem, just a tiny complaint.Show lessAlex rings
