Manual Control Does Not Work

It’s just not working for my robot. It’s not my wifi signal strength that’s a problem since I have a wifi 6 system set around my house that also reaches the pool area. Pitiful app for such an expensive device.

Simplistic App

Basic functionality: Connect, start, clean, done.

Additional functionality: Manual drive. The manual drive is sluggish. A few seconds will pass before the commands are sent to the robot. And the interface is clunky. It would be great if it drove like an RC car, but it doesn’t.

Feature request: add an underwater camera and more responsive control. Then you could have a lot of fun with it!

Doesn't even work

I keep on getting this error message "power supply doesn't recognize your robot." This app is already terrible but now I can't even connect it to Bluetooth. The Bluetooth light doesn't even turn on... This is 2021.

Good but bad at the same time

Although this app can be very helpful, the manual control is very confusing and should be more straight forward. And sometimes it takes really long for the dolphin to do what you want. So I would say just update the app please 🙏

Why Even Offer the App?

Don’t pay extra for a Dolphin with Bluetooth or WiFi. The app is awful and based on other reviews Maytronics doesn’t seem to care. The app connects to my Dolphin every time but every command results in “error” or “oops” after a the spinning wheel goes for a few minutes. I try again every season for the past 4 years and get the same results. Doesn’t matter how many times you delete the app and start over. It’s a useless app. Extremely disappointing.

Awful app. Stay away from Dolphin, seriously.

I decided to spend over 1K in a good pool cleaner, so I decided to get the S300i. The robot does an ok job at cleaning, but the app is just simply awful. It rarely connects to the robot, and when it does is just incredibly slow. The experience with Dolphin has not been good. I’m planning on getting a different cleaner, also this app rarely gets updated. Shame on Maytronics for selling a cleaner at a premium price when this product is clearly not ready.

First time user

Found the dolphin right away. App is pretty basic thought it would have more info but seems ok. Just turned it on and the dolphin is hard at work. This m400 replaces a dolphin deluxe 2003 or 2007 old tech. The app took about 1 min to get out of manual drive before it went back to on.

Would like to see additional features like a temperature sensor, that would be a great add-on.

Worst app ever

I think i had a better ability to control the gun on duckhunt than I did to control this robot using the app. Beyond useless. Marketing propoganda. There must be better out there.

Unbelievable waste of time

How is this app even usable. I sat there for 30 mins trying to get the unit to turn to my command. The app is simple to the point of useless. There are no features, no indicators and appears to have been written by grade school developers. Saying that this app provides manual driving capabilities is a gross exaggeration of anything truthful.

Doesn’t work and no support

I have the Dolphin Premium. Have to hold my iPhone 11 max on the power supply before it syncs and then the app itself only shows regular Clean no other icons or settings are available.

Sent email for support and never received a response. Not impressed! Great machine if both worked and would give better stars but not as it sits.
