  • Really useful and easily understandable

It’s quite self explanatory, uses a lot of the same symbols that are well recognisable and understandable what they are, very much a great investment. I have been using it for work and it has helped me with screen time, and it gives me a sense of satisfaction when I grow a bigger tree! I like how the longer you focus for the bigger the tree or bush. Lots of cute ones and I’m glad I purchased it. Highly recommend I tell all my friends about it who have been struggling with disconnecting and focusing on important things in this digital age.

  • A very good app

This is an incredible app - its helping me track my productivity and helps me to focus on a specific task. I really like how the graphs have shown me where I lull (typically 2-3pm ish) during the day, and how I can label different times to different jobs, so I know how I’m splitting my time. The graphics are very cute, I like all the little trees, and I like that I can also put some of my coins towards plant real trees, not just virtual ones (there is currently a max of 5 ‘real’ trees - I hope it increases soon!) . I highly recommend this app.

If I had to change one thing, I’d like an update to the design variances in some of the flowers. For quite a few different tree species, the icon varies slightly at different time points (e.g looks slightly bigger at 1 hour vs 30 mins), but the flowers don’t get the same love! It would be really nice for the flowers to look bigger when you’ve spent longer focusing.

  • Good!!

really keep me focused and use the time to study
  • Great app plus it's only a one time purchase

Lowers my screen time quite well and really helps for studying
  • Really useful

I’m a student in secondary school and I was having problems focusing and not going on my phone when I was trying to do homework, my dad installed this app on my phone to try to help me. This is really useful and has definitely helped my creativity! So basically what you do is you set a time from like 5 mins to an hour and then it locks all apps, you can cancel this but it means there will be a dead tree in your forest and it saves permanently. No one wants dead trees haha :( if you pass you get trees planted and you earn money. You can spend money at the shop and buy other trees. It really helps production and stops phone addiction I would definitely recommend!!! I am age 11 -15 and it works really well for me and I only got it yesterday!!! I love nature and the environment so I never want to kill the trees 🌲 so yeah. GET THIS NOW 🌲🌴🌳🎉🥳

  • Was great, but updates have ruined it

I first downloaded this app in early 2022 and it worked exactly as advertised and did exactly what I needed. Strongly discouraged phone distractions and improved productivity. Now in the last couple of months I found I’ve been able to browse all my other apps on my phone without the usual consequences: no more notification telling me to stop, and no more withered dead tree. This defeats the purpose of having the app. There are several people on Reddit and other platforms complaining of the exact same problem! What’s the point of this app if it fails at a core feature?
The “deep focus” mode doesn’t work, and in any case, having to mess around with Allowed Apps lists is too complicated (and according to my research, doesn’t work on iPhones anyway!)

The updates are a failure. Give us the old version back. If not, I’ll probably delete soon, and look for something better.

Hello, Sorry to hear about this. Over the years, we had been receiving numerous request regarding the allow list feature. We totally understand some users need their devices for work or study, while some do not. But the number of such request we had received was too big to ignore and it was after much consideration that we decided to implement the allow list feature for iOS/ iPadOS 16 or above. The allow list feature is operated by Apple's screen time, so please rest assure that it does work on iPhones. Please refer to the following FAQ articles to set up the allow list feature accordingly. https://faq.seekrtech.com/Forest/articles/456 If you have any concerns, please feel free to reach us via our in-app feedback system where our support team would gladly assist you. Thank you! :)
  • Awesome app, very zen

Love the app and it’s purpose. It’s genuinely helpful and I’ve been using it off and on for years. I also really like the colours and design, maybe it would be cool to be able to add little moving critters or tiny people among the forest but perhaps this is distracting, it would be so cute though.
    Thanks for a great app!

  • Pay to focus

My experience of this app is that the limited variety of plants available at the start is unappealing and the cost of coins for purchasing new trees is too high. Having to begin with Christmas trees, coral, bushes, and seals is very confusing to me, and I would much rather preferred aspens, white pines, maples, etc. This poor variety makes you want to buy more plants right way but to do so you need coins of course. This results in my having to constantly pick up my phone and reset the focus for every activity during my day in order to accumulate enough coins to actually purchase the trees to plant a forest with and variety or just trees. This is both tedious and distracting in and of itself which is ironic given the apps purpose. This process can be sped it up by purchasing elixirs from the store of course. maybe I’m too frugal, but I have an adverse reaction to paying for an app, and then being nickel and dimed to make the app more functional and appealing and the lack of variety to promote pay to focus is off turning.
Lastly, the daily tiles don’t give one a sense of a Forest, more a wooded lot. I suggest having a visual of the daily tiles connected to one another to show an larger dicpiction of one’s Forest that has grown over time, which would be satisfying.

Hi, thank you for the feedback. The main purpose of Forest is to help users stay focused on their tasks. You don't actually have to pay money to unlock different trees species - coins are earned and accumulated through concentrating and planting virtual trees. Pretty trees are worth the effort! Besides the daily forest, you can view your forest in week, month, and year. Please go to the Forest page and switch to different periods of forest to view the trees you've grown over the week/month/year!
