  • Nothing else

It’s funny how Lightroom have changed my understanding of what photography is. Before it was you, your camera and the moment. And when I say the moment I mean light, subject, action, environment, you I mean your experience, mood, reaction and camera is your technology. And yes it was way harder to get amazing shots and only handful amount of people was able virtuously speak the photography language. With Lightroom even all this three elements not connected well I am still able to get back to the moment and manipulate it. There are still a lot of things to learn and Lightroom can’t fix everything but more and more people are able now to express themselves through photography. Lightroom is stretching time and space to reconnect you with the moment. Thank you guys!!!!!

  • Really disappointed in annual contract.

I’m not sure how useful Lightroom would be for me but I downloaded to give it a try. Unfortunately you have to bleeping subscribe in order to use the free trial, and the only two options are annual contracts for the photography plan?? Adobe please do month to month. I can’t commit to a year but would pay for a month or two to give it a shot 🤷🏻‍♀️

*** response to Apple developer and anyone else who cares: yes there is a monthly subscription — but I was told by customer service that it requires a years commitment. So it’s the same total cost as a yearly subscription, you are just paying a monthly installment. Where is the month-to-month subscription? We can’t all commit to the cost of a yearly plan - especially without trying the product out for longer than the brief free trial. I wanted to get Lightroom for my young niece, but I don’t want to commit to a year since she might change hobbies. PLEASE consider a month or even a three month plan.

  • Rubbish / Old to New Photos sorting

The develop menu constantly scramble's photos, or hides them in folders by year, etc. It forgets the way you asked it to sort in settings soon after exiting the develop menu. It’s a mess, you also can’t zoom out to see your develop menu as a grid, so to apply edits to many photos you have to open them up individually. I was trying to convert HVEC photos to JPG, and I ended up giving up after 10 minutes because I couldn’t find where they were taken in my develop menu. I’ve used Lightroom on Desktop and iPhone for 10+ years now, and I am a graphic designer. Please fix your sorting menu not saving changes, and working counter logically. So so so bad. I am getting so frustrated with Adobe, who seems to only buy companies and make their own products worse. By default edited photos are sorted old to new, so you have to scroll for ages. There is a filter option to display new photos first [at the bottom] but then the app resets, it puts it at the default of showing oldest photos first, which is a major hassle if you’ve used Lightroom for the past years. Exporting Boarders, currently there is an issue, which exports thin white lines on the left and right sides of an image, between it and the frame. I have waited so long for this export option; thank you !! +++ For controlling negative video sharpness + clarity to soften iPhone footage, as well as curves for video

  • Don’t Go for Yearly Subscription

First : There is no pro Rated Refund option if in case you want to upgrade your plan.

Second : there is no photography Plan in option.

Third: if you try to get it via mac then there is Mac only Subscription again there is no option to Upgrade

If you talk to apple then they say ask the Developer and if you ask the Adobe they say its third party subscription from Apple , we can’t deal with it.

    Left with no option.

  • Updated version

The old version was great and easy to use. Now with the updated editing before import is alot more difficult to use. Was much easier to have them all in one folder and to see all the edited / imported photos in the same place. Consider changing back or allowing the user to choose what they prefer please!

  • Fraudulent company

I have been charged 16 dollars every month for almost a year by a “adobe product” took me a long time to finally sit down and figure out what scam product was behind this. Turns out it’s the bs app. I don’t recall signing up but whatever, maybe I did and I forgot to cancel a free trial.. I’ll be generous and give them the benefit of the doubt.. I go to cancel this “plan” and they charge me an early cancellation fee!! How crook is that?? Stealing my money for nearly a year and then even more some when I figure out how to cancel it! Disgusting. I would like a refund for my money being stolen out of my account for the last year.

  • Photos won’t upload

I’ve had no issues what so ever for years. Even up until two days ago I’ve been able to upload my photos with no problems and now all of a sudden I can’t upload my pictures to the iPad app, and the auto import is requesting full access to all my pictures which I shouldn’t be forced to do. When I’ve looked up other people having this issue I’m assuming it could be a licensing issue but I pay for the license that would allow this. I’ve been really happy until now and now Im so frustrated I just want to cancel my subscription.

Update: I did figure out a round about way to get my photos added in but man this took so long and I wasted an hour. I can get them in there but there needs to be an easier way to make this happen. I love the app, as I stated I haven’t had any issues until today but when something that should be simple is made to be extremely difficult and for no reason it’s frustrating.

  • I love this app…

    I love this app,
But I just have to ask why, as I’m going through an album of edited photos (without editing them, only sometimes looking at the original) it is such an intensive task for my iPhone 14 pro Max, that it must dim my phone screen and heat it up? Looking through photos and doing some editing, for the power I have in my iPhone, should this task be so energy demanding that my incredibly powerful iPhone processor should need to cap itself at around 60-70 percent brightness?
Either there is a software problem, or my phone technologically speaking is just bogus. And I doubt the latter. This also occasionally happened on my iPhone 12Pro, but I thought it was just outdated. Now that I have the 14Pro, I’m pretty convinced it’s the software.

Now on my iPad Pro M2, I’d rate this app 5 stars. With hours of editing it would not struggle at all. But when I’m editing a few photos on the fly and don’t happen to have my iPad for larger workflows, I’d really love for my iPhone to be able to do more than just read the photos—and even then still struggle. It’s cooling down already as I write this! With the brightness this phone can offer—I’d love to be able to actually use it!

  • Powerful editor but expensive and cumbersome too

It’s the best serious photo editing app for mobile, especially for RAW images which it handles like a dream, but there are some major downsides too:

    1) The built-in camera functionality is really terrible - painfully slow to open, fiddly to use, with tiny inscrutable icons. You’ll probably want to buy a third-party alternative such as Halide.

    2) It doesn’t integrate directly with the iCloud Photo Library, so requires importing and exporting to move photos between the Lightroom library and iCloud library. This quickly becomes laborious to keep track of. It’s probably not a pain point for professional power users who use Lightroom exclusively, but it’s a headache for casual users.

    3) Subscriptions are expensive and the pricing model is deliberately complex in order to upsell the full Creative Cloud package. It’s hard to understand which subscription offers the best value and storage.

UPDATE 👉 response to developers Jan 2023:

I thought you ARE the developer. So please take this feedback and give it to the relevant people in your team.

I’m not going to fill in another form.

  • Be aware of syncing issues between mobile and Lightroom classic

I have been a long time user of Lightroom mobile and Lightroom classic. I never had issues with the two syncing until this summer. Ever since the update they did over the summer my edits do not sync properly to Lightroom classic. I’ve lost hundreds of hours of time and edits bc of this issue. I’m a family and wedding photographer and lost an entire wedding gallery of edits (around 500 images). As a result I was late to delivering the gallery to the bride because I had to re edit her entire gallery after spending many weeks on it. I keep both apps up to date and the issue has continued to be a major flaw. This should not be a problem with a company of this magnitude, I am to the point of looking for a new editing software. Once Lightroom fixes this flaw I will happily give 5 stars and gladly stay with this company. I have contacted Adobe about this as well.
