Wonderful

Great way of remembering prayers

Helps make prayer a habit

I have been beating myself up for several years now because I can’t pray. I just don’t have the skill as some life long Christians do. With this app I can write a rough draft, title it, read it/say it the first time and then get a pleasant reminder an hour later to pray it again. I might still sound a little unnatural, but I am bound to get better with practice. I love it!

excellent app

really like the app! but recently, the times of my scheduled prayers have shifted an hour behind. i changed them all back but they’ve just done it again, please fix!! xx

IPad 90 degrees off, frequency & categories would be very helpful

I was saved after keeping a prayer list in a notebook and seeing that God answered so may prayers that it could only have been Him. I have kept prayer lists for the 40 years since.

I love how professional and crisp it looks/feels but have a few things I can’t figure out how to do. Things Echo does better than Pocket Prayer are:
1) Professional crisp feel
2) Automatic sync between iPhone and iPad
3) No bugs so far with

The things I would love it to do that it doesn’t seem to are:
1) iPad orientation 90 degrees off ..... it only seems to go the long way on the screen and when I am using my keyboard to type, it is difficult to read. I would love it if it pointed straight up and down.
2) Frequency of prayer ... i currently use Pocket Prayer ... which has some bugs and issues but I can’t find one better. But it allows me to pray for something .... daily, weekly, monthly,, etc. I have 40+ items on my prayer list right now and don’t have time to pray for them all every day.
3) Grouping or Categories of prayers: it is easier to manage when I have groups for kids, work, church, friends, ministry, personal
4) Being able to access and type via web browser in my PC: would be a dream. Not as critical if you fixed the first thing.

If the app does these things, I would love to figure out how to use them. Thanks so much. God bless you and your staff.

Response from developer

Hi Bill - thank you for the detailed review. We take a lot of pride in the way we've handcrafted Echo to be a wonderful prayer tool, so I'm glad it feels professional. I'll address the items that you mentioned individually: 1. We actually don't fully support iPad yet. So although it works ok, it's not perfect. 2. You can definitely set all sorts of frequency options for your prayer reminders! That's one of the core features. You can do this individually for each prayer, or you can have it remind you of one prayer each time out of a specific category. The primary situation we designed around is exactly what you mentioned - not being able to pray for everything on your list each day. 3. You can categorize your prayers by adding #hashtags to them anywhere in the title or description. You can then set reminders for these tags, or use it as an option in the 'pray now' mode. Sorry this feature isn't as obvious as it probably should be. (But the nice thing about tags is that it allows more flexibility than groups or categories: you can use multiple tags on a prayer. For example: #family #urgent). 4. We don't have a web version at this time. (Although we originally created Echo as a web service back in 2006!). It's on the future roadmap, and we hope to be able to do it someday. I hope this all helps! --Ben

Great encouragement

This is a good way to improve prayer frequency

Just started using it

Just part of a trial for a virtual prayer room at my church. Helping me focus my prayers.

Update!

Originally posted that the timer wasn’t working but it all got resolved. User error.
This app is exactly what I’ve been looking for
Thanks!

Would give it 5 stars because it’s a good app but the timer won’t scroll automatically through your prayers like it’s supposed to. It’ll time one prayer and stop. Too bad because it’s the feature I like most. :-(

Seriously?

You’ve developed a subscription service charging people to talk to God! What on earth are you thinking... you either don’t believe and are cashing in on people who do, or are believers who have entirely lost their way. If it’s the latter then I would suggest charging a nominal up front price, cancelling the subscription service, and seeking forgiveness.

A game changer for your prayer life

Let’s face it — distractions come up everywhere in every way to try and keep us from God’s plan for our life, and that includes our prayer time with Him! Echo helps to keep you both focused consistent in your prayer life. I love looking at prayers I have marked as answered, and starting a prayer time where I can cycle through all my prayers. Thank you for developing this incredible app!

Improved my prayer frequency

I’m sure I’m not using the app as designed.

I set up each day of the week with a group I want to pray for. For example: Tuesday - Friends and Family. Friday - Government and World Culture. Therefore I have lots of names on a page. I would like to be able separate or highlight the names. So Features I would like to have are colored and bolded font and colored highlighting. Also to be able to mark “answered prayer” by an individual’s name
would be nice.
