Wonderful
Helps make prayer a habit
excellent app
IPad 90 degrees off, frequency & categories would be very helpful
I love how professional and crisp it looks/feels but have a few things I can’t figure out how to do. Things Echo does better than Pocket Prayer are:
1) Professional crisp feel
2) Automatic sync between iPhone and iPad
3) No bugs so far with
The things I would love it to do that it doesn’t seem to are:
1) iPad orientation 90 degrees off ..... it only seems to go the long way on the screen and when I am using my keyboard to type, it is difficult to read. I would love it if it pointed straight up and down.
2) Frequency of prayer ... i currently use Pocket Prayer ... which has some bugs and issues but I can’t find one better. But it allows me to pray for something .... daily, weekly, monthly,, etc. I have 40+ items on my prayer list right now and don’t have time to pray for them all every day.
3) Grouping or Categories of prayers: it is easier to manage when I have groups for kids, work, church, friends, ministry, personal
4) Being able to access and type via web browser in my PC: would be a dream. Not as critical if you fixed the first thing.
If the app does these things, I would love to figure out how to use them. Thanks so much. God bless you and your staff.
Response from developer
Hi Bill - thank you for the detailed review. We take a lot of pride in the way we've handcrafted Echo to be a wonderful prayer tool, so I'm glad it feels professional. I'll address the items that you mentioned individually: 1. We actually don't fully support iPad yet. So although it works ok, it's not perfect. 2. You can definitely set all sorts of frequency options for your prayer reminders! That's one of the core features. You can do this individually for each prayer, or you can have it remind you of one prayer each time out of a specific category. The primary situation we designed around is exactly what you mentioned - not being able to pray for everything on your list each day. 3. You can categorize your prayers by adding #hashtags to them anywhere in the title or description. You can then set reminders for these tags, or use it as an option in the 'pray now' mode. Sorry this feature isn't as obvious as it probably should be. (But the nice thing about tags is that it allows more flexibility than groups or categories: you can use multiple tags on a prayer. For example: #family #urgent). 4. We don't have a web version at this time. (Although we originally created Echo as a web service back in 2006!). It's on the future roadmap, and we hope to be able to do it someday. I hope this all helps! --Ben
Great encouragement
Just started using it
Update!
This app is exactly what I’ve been looking for
Thanks!

Would give it 5 stars because it’s a good app but the timer won’t scroll automatically through your prayers like it’s supposed to. It’ll time one prayer and stop. Too bad because it’s the feature I like most. :-(
Seriously?
A game changer for your prayer life
Improved my prayer frequency
I set up each day of the week with a group I want to pray for. For example: Tuesday - Friends and Family. Friday - Government and World Culture. Therefore I have lots of names on a page. I would like to be able separate or highlight the names. So Features I would like to have are colored and bolded font and colored highlighting. Also to be able to mark “answered prayer” by an individual’s name
would be nice.
