Great App!

This app is great! I love being able to add tags and then choose which ones I will include on my “pray now” screen for the day (I tag some things with “daily” and others with a day of the week and then pick those tags depending on the day). It’s just what I needed to organize my prayers since the number of things I had committed to pray for was getting to be too much to remember and a notecard system was going to be hard since I would have to keep track of a lot of pieces of paper, especially if I wanted a system to keep up with things I only pray for on particular days. My only suggestion is whether there could be a way that being in “pray now” mode would block all other notifications on your phone from coming through? Maybe as an option you could choose in settings?

So glad you're finding Echo useful :-) That's a great idea about blocking other notifications so you can focus on just praying. For better or worse, Apple doesn't allow any apps to control things like that.

Thanks but no thanks.

$52 dollars a year? Are you out of your mind!? Too expensive and it doesn’t offer a one-time purchase.

Morning Prayers

I love this app. I use it every morning as I get ready for work to pray. It’s nice to have my list of people already in the app so I can focus more on praying then on who I want to pray for.

Disappointing Gamesmanship

I have been an Echo user since its inception. In fact, I had the privilege of choosing how much I would be charged for its use, and DID NOT choose zero! I often tell people about the app because it is a useful tool, the operative word is TOOL. This is why I found it so disappointing when prayer was turned into a game. The prayer streak reminder is little more than a tool for the developers to brag about how much, and how often, the app is used. Thus is the sad connection between Christianity and capitalism. Before I’m told I can turn off the reminder feature, I realize that fact. My point I’m trying to make is the use of this app to keep a “streak” going. Getting a reminder at the end of the day saying you haven’t prayed today, why not stop and pray...makes me say, really...just so I can keep a “streak” going, or just as if, if you don’t use the app you’re not praying? Enough of the soapbox. Thanks for listening.

Hi John - we're really sorry that the streaks feature feels like gamesmanship. We tried to be extremely careful not to gamify the app. Our true goal has always been to deepen people's prayer life and relationship with God. We added the streak and goal features because we realized it's a simple prompt that helps most people develop a discipline more easily. (But like you mentioned, there's an easy setting you can use to turn it off if you don't want it!)

(Suggestion) Description box - scrollable

I may not be using it the way it’s intended or designed. However I actually write out what I want to pray in the description box. So that when I’m praying the next day, I don’t have to think of a new prayer. I read my prayer out loud, and edit it if I think of a new things by adding more in the description. So I’m sure the designer didn’t think of making the description box scrollable. When I type more words that what the window can show, it doesn’t automatically scroll up to help me see what I’m typing. So I have to click “done” to come out. Those extra words I’ve type all show up in prayer window. So then I click on the “edit” to keep typing, which then again anything beyond what the window shows on that page doesn’t show because it doesn’t scroll up. Can this be fixed?

UPDATE: We have been trying to push an update for weeks now, and Apple has been denying it for incredibly annoying and nitpicky rules that aren't applied consistently. We are hoping to be able to get this fix live soon! Sorry for the delay! ORIGINAL: Thank you for pointing this out - this is actually a recent bug that was introduced by a change in iOS. We're working on a fix for it, and we should be able to update it soon!

Best Prayer App

This this best prayer app available. Easy to use and love that you can save your answered prayers. Highly recommend to all.

Love it so far but...

Been having a few minor issues with the app. I set a reminder for one prayer at 1 pm but on the summary screen for the prayer it says 2 pm and won’t change. And had an error message that I couldn’t dismiss because my keyboard was in the way. There was no other way to get rid of the error message than to close the app completely!

Very helpful

So thankful for this app! As one gets older, the need for “memory help” becomes more important. There are soooo many prayer needs today that it can be overwhelming without something to refresh your mind. It would be VERY helpful to be able to either expand the text on page or have an options for larger text choices and/or colors (for us oldies!). The print is pretty small, and white on green, though pretty, makes it even a bit tougher.

Now I have a prayer life

This app was just what I needed to easily incorporate daily prayer into my life. I had tried different books and devotional in the past but I think what has made the difference is the easy access in my phone. With this app, prayer has easily made R.D. way into my routine. You have the freedom to write short or long prayers and you can carry them forward indefinitely or mark them as answered. Once written, they’re easy to edit and update. This app has been easy to use and has help take away a lot of the barriers that kept me from praying regularly. I only wish it had a night mode (dark background). Highly recommend this app for people who want to use their devices to support more regular prayer and like to write out their own prayers.

We're really glad to hear that Echo has been working well for you. And yes, one of our next planned features is dark mode and/or other color schemes!

I love this app but........

This is a wonderful app and I use it all the time through my Bible studies and youth group but....... not everything is free. you have to pay to use a lot of stuff. if you’re looking for something to keep you on track praying, A way to share prayer requests with other people, and that is quick and easy to use,I totally recommend this app!!!! but if you want more of a invested prayer app this probably isn’t best thing for you
