  • Best Game I have EVER played buy it with no regrets! 😘

I finished the game with a couple walkthroughs needed This is a great game with great animation and storyline. I got really attached to the characters. If you love brain teasers you will love this game. I don't really know if the age group is right and YES adults would like this game (but I haven't reached that age and I am just guessing) I really hope they come out with a broken age 2. Plus if you don't have cellular data or wifi on a car trip or something you won't need it you don't need wifi! I have played this game for hours at a time, but I do not recommend walkthroughs because I wish I didn't it just takes away from the fun. I love this game it is worth the price it is my all time favorite and I plan on replaying it soon. Thanks for reading!!!

  • Great game, but before you buy...

I love this game's story and concept. It is worth the money, however there are somethings you should know before spending money.
    1. Don't be fooled by Act 1's easy puzzles. Act 2 only gets harder from there, so don't be afraid to consult a walkthrough on the internet. (I did several times)
    2. If you can't figure out a puzzle on one characters side, switch characters.
    3. When you get to the hexipal rewiring puzzle in Act 2, try one wire at a time.
    4. Have a pencil and paper next to you while playing to write stuff down that you may need to know later.
    5. Make sure what ever device you plan to buy the game on has capable software to handle this big game. Preferably a IPad or a newer IPhone. (I downloaded this game on my iPod touch and it is very laggy and the game keeps crashing at a cutscene so I can't countinue. I had to look up Stampy's videos just to get the ending.)
    6. Most importantly, don't give up! This game has a great ending that is definitely worth all the hard puzzles. The credits have a good pay off too, so stick around for them.
Have fun fixing the Broken Age! (See what I did there?)

  • The game you will remember forever...

When I played the game, I had tons of fun, and when I saw those credits, I was in tears! This is a game where you can relate to the characters, even though we don't have mogs, spaceships, living yarn, and and people that live on clouds.
This is a game that all ages will enjoy. I would love a sequel that gives people another game that they will remember forever. But there is one thing about this game that makes me sad, it's because this game is great, when you play it for the first time, but when you complete it, you can't get that same feeling of happiness because you know where to find items and how to solve the puzzles, this is why I would love to see a sequel to this, I know you are possibly working to make great games, but really, please make a sequel, it could give the people who played this game another adventure with Vella and Shay. Thanks!

  • Amazing, simply amazing.

I don't normally write reviews but this game is amazing. If you get this I recommend wearing headphones because the voice acting makes it so much better. I got this game when it was 5$ and let me tell you that I would have paid 10$. The story was amazing, the game was hard, and the scenery was great. I highly recommend this game. I was able to play it on my iPad mini with no problems and I enjoyed every part of the story. I will warn you it's extremely hard or at least it was for me. It sometimes took me several hours just to figure out how to continue. Still you should buy this game. Just do it. Buy it. I promise you won't be let down.

  • Left Speechless.

The art, the music, the voice talents, the detail, the storyline... I cannot sum up how much I love this into one review. The storyline and setting is never-before-seen. You don't just play the game, you go on an adventure with it. I will admit, I was a bit confused and skeptical at first about whether I would actually get through the game. But that's the fun of it, you realize - you grow into these worlds piece by piece with every conversation and every move you make. It's impossible to know what's coming next; I was surprised several times, it's pleasantly unpredictable. It's 100% worth the money. It's cute, it's fun, and although at first I had the feeling it was made for a younger age group, this is definitely meant for everyone. So, again, the whole idea is an incredible one. I wish I could give it more stars and I wish more people knew about it. I will also admit I needed walkthroughs several times, but it's more fun having to figure it out yourself. GET THIS APP.

  • BEST GAME EVER!! So worth it!

At first I didn't understand this game but hours later it started getting so easy, it took me about 12 hours to complete the game, and the end was amazing. The pictures in the credits were cute and hilarious, my favorite one is the last one where Shay and Vella are sitting together on a hill. My other favorite is spoon and fork's baby, spork. Although, I was a little sad that Vella and Shay never had a relationship. (I am in love with game romance, but not too much.) I instantly fell in love with Shay and when I say the connection Shay and Vella had in the middle of the game, I definitely thought they would be perfect together. Oh, and could you pleaseeeeeee make another one!?
But, if you make a new one, keep the same voices because I hate it when people change the voices of the characters.

  • "Will-remember-forever" type of game

This is one of those games that will stay with you for a long time. I love point and click games and this one is right down my alley. It has quality graphics, amazing voice acting and quite a bit of humor as well. I love the characters and think the story and gameplay is original as well. It will get to the point where you'll have to switch between characters in order to progress and it makes the puzzles just that much more challenging and fun.
In total, I spent about 11 hours playing this game. Binge playing, mind you. I finished it within 24 hours. I didn't experience any glitches, as far as I'm aware. It crashed once but picked right back up where it left off.
I love that it has a manual save function as well, which I use to save occasionally in case it glitches, always handy to have so you can get back to the point before a glitch. Didn't need it though, thankfully! Aside from that, it saves automatically, very often, too.
I bought it at the discounted price, but I thought the original price is $10 and it's well worth it.
I will miss this game and its characters, sincerely hoping for a part two!
I played this game on the iphone 6s with iOS 9.

  • A True Creative Masterpiece

There are just not enough words for me to express how fantastically amazing I think this game was. When I first saw the $10 price tag, I almost choked. Now that I was extremely fortunate enough to get it on Super Sale and have played it....I know I would have gladly went back and paid the original price that the developers deserved- and then some. I am a bit of an app addict and have played a LOT of iPad games. Non even compare to the level of creative writing, musical talent, superb voice acting, gorgeous artwork, and over-all level of genius and obvious heart I saw was put into this "game". "Masterpiece" would be a much more appropriate word. Clearly, I am pretty blown away here lol. To the consumer: do yourself a favor & experience this long & delightful journey for yourself. To all the artists who created it: THANK YOU. SO. MUCH. 🤗

  • Best game ever played

I would like to start by hating on the haters. I have seen reviews w/ people who haven't even finished the game complaining about how you don't do anything w/ Shay. If you kept playing I hope you took it back. If you couldn't figure it out choose a new game and don't hate just because you couldn't think outside the box. Now, this is my favorite game of all time. I love everything about it and wish I could experience it again for the first time. I would like to say to all the people who worked on it, thank you for introducing me to a new world of gaming for those of us who can't buy play station 4. You have given me a once in lifetime experience. I feel so dramatic though, lol.

I wish there was a fandom for this game, anyone else shipping Shay and Vella?

  • Best iPad game played to date

I grew up in the early years of PC gaming with text-based adventures (Zork), old school RPGs (Bard's Tale) and pixel point & clickers (Maniac Mansion). As technology has evolved, so too has the quality of PC games -- but in my view, not nearly as rapidly as it should have. Broken Age truly brings the point and click adventure game into the 21st century. With engaging parallel storylines, superb voice acting (professional actors such as Jack Black), logical puzzles, seamless graphics and intuitive controls, Broken Age has set the new gold standard. I have enjoyed many other adventure games on iOS like Gemini Rue, Yesterday, Hollywood Monsters, Perils of Man, the Sam & Max adventures, etc., but this tops them all. You won't be disappointed if you like this genre.
