A Replacement for "Simply Noise"
An earlier-generation version of this background-noise app, produced by what was probably a different company, was called Simply Noise. I liked that app a lot, but it had one major flaw: when I was wearing my earphones and turned on the app at the same time, it often came on at top volume and nearly blew out my eardrums. This app is free of that problem, so apart from its annoying ads – which, fortunately, I don't have to look at since the benefit of this app is only its audio feature – it is just about perfect. Since I work at home, having something to cancel out conversations and TV sounds from other parts of the house is very important to me. That benefit carries over to bedtime as well, making this app one of the most important on my phone.Show lessAlan-in-Seattle
Very nice!
I don't find the ads to be intrusive or problematic. Very simple to use. Very effective! My neighbor's dog barks all the time and my housemates go to work at 4:30am. These all make my dog bark and wake me up. With this app, not only is my dog quiet, but I don't hear them, either. This app has made my life better!Show lessCaerlt
Amazing app, but..
Amazing app, but I wish there were more sounds haha. Love the app though! I use to sleep with music on but sometimes found it too distracting, this white noise generator is amazing, and as an Oregonian my favorite sound is "Rain in the Oregon Forest" or something like that :)NA🏀MI
Restful sleep
This app doesn't have a ton of options as far as noises go, but I thought I would give it a try! I tried the white noise, and immediately felt like I was going to have a panic attack! The pink noise was too weird. Once I got to "Wind in Bavaria," I fell asleep immediately, and then dropped my phone onto my face!!! I knew I had found my perfect sleeping aide! Finally!
I like it cool in my bedroom, but not freezing. And it's that time of year where it's no longer practical to run the AC just to drown out the noises from the neighborhood. This app lets me listen to a fan or an AC, along with several other calming options. Big thumbs up!Momma2emmy

This app is great because unlike the other apps that do this same thing, this one allows you to play the sounds in the background. It's great for blocking out other sounds when you're trying to work on something, but isn't distracting like music can be. It's also great if you have roommates who are less-than-quiet when you're trying to get some sleep. Overall a great app!Show lessPammi Jo
Great app!
I usually sleep with a box fan at home, but have been traveling a TON lately for interviews, and despite spending so many nights in hotel rooms that are either too quiet or too noisy, I've gotten great, restful sleep thanks to this app. Someone complained that it was preventing their phone from locking/draining their battery, but I just manually lock my phone after setting my alarm, and haven't had any issues. Ads, more ads, all while draining your battery.
The app comes with 4 prerecorded noise, all but the pink noise you can find on any ambient sound collection.
It serves TONS of ads, ads by the developer each time you launch, add by the developer randomly why you have it open, and then a scrolling banner ad for everything else from soap to just about
anything else.
The app seems , so it can display its ads ?, also seems to keep your phone from locking and power down the screen for some time. I saw my screen start to go dim several times for a brief instant then go back to full brightness without me touching it. This went on for about 30 minutes...
The app had promise but the tons ads and only 4 sounds which are just 'ok' at best I'll likely be deleting this app shortly.Show lesscrsouser

I just downloaded this app. Unlike others, you get access to tons of different sounds, some of which you wouldn't expect but after hearing them understand why they're there. Washing machine, for one. So far I am very excited to see what I can do with this app.Grok9
Love this white noise app
It has great sound combinations and will run behind other apps allowing you to set your alarm or check email etc while still running. Perfect for helping my baby to sleep at home and when traveling.Megan M
