Scam Alert!

Don’t believe any positive reviews you see about this company. I can’t speak for experiences in America, but for activities in Europe simply read their trip advisor reviews. Most negative reviews are real people, they just flood reviews page with not reviews to cover up the bad business practices. I bought tickets for the colosseum in Rome to skip the line and showed up 30 minutes early so as to not miss them, my guide never showed up. Headout Tours customer service will respond to your complaints by asking for a time stamped photo of you at the meeting place, and then untruthfully claiming you somehow missed the guide and claim it’s your fault. Even if you happen to actually get the product they offer, it’s not worth the risk of being scammed. These morally bereft scammers should be the last company you choose, and notice that there are no ways to cancel or get a refund for these events. Use at your own risk, this company will likely get shutdown some day once enough people catch on

Horrible Experience with this App - be warned!

Now that I’ve been burned by Headout, I am finding all sorts of similarly terrible stories posted by online reviewers. I have no idea how they manage to hide these reviews on google and maintain a decent rating. I used their app to book a tour in Barcelona a few days ago and it was a complete disaster. I paid and showed up for a tour that didn’t exist. (There were others who had also used Headout and showed up for the same “canceled” tour.) Their customer service had no idea how to handle the situation and could offer nothing but a “we messed up” email and a promise of a refund. When I explained that when you ruin somebody’s vacation, you actually need to step up and offer them a free tour - they refused. After much back and forth they finally offered a free tour of a different attraction that was a fraction of the I price. We said “no thanks.” Simply disgraceful. The next day I booked the same tour through a different company and it was $60 cheaper so I think Headout also overcharges from what I’ve been reading in other reviews. Please don’t trust this company! I wish I had been able to find any accurate reviews when they popped up through my search on google maps.

Easy to use , simple transactions at a much better price

Where do you pick up tickets...

I got trapped thinking that I had everything I needed on a Prado Museum visit. It wasn’t until I got to the Prado that I found out you have to go somewhere to get a paper ticket. The email they send won’t be accepted.

Scam company

This is a horrible middle man company. I booked a cruise/van gogh museum package for Amsterdam, and while reading their site they say they have a zero amendment/cancellation policy, but their website is severely vague and unclear. It clearly states That in the following steps you will choose your cruise time and museum time. But you don’t. You choose a 3 hour time slot. But it’s never clear when the cruise is and when you museum slot it. I contacted customer service twice and was told my museum entrance time was 11am, when it says on their website in black and white that you are not able to enter the museum until 1pm and later. I can’t get a cear reason why this is, it is contradictory to what they are now saying. And of course there is no cancellation. How convenient that they offer an 11am slot to a museum that doesn’t let you in at 11. I will be fighting this with my credit card company. This sounds like a huge scam. Do not book from these people or people like them. Go directly to the museum. Never ever use a third party. Their customer service is an absolute joke. I am booking this a month in advance by the way, not the day before. Never again.

Absolut Scam

Phone line drops , then 3 different people called me back , they didn’t honour their policy. Didn’t not. Help at all and I just lost money dealing with them, if I could give a 0 or a minus star I would .

Untrustworthy and unhelpful

They were unable to honour our booking and were very uncommunicative. I contacted them several times throughout the day trying to get the tickets they had charged me for and was repeatedly assured they had my booking and would send the tickets. Many hours later they cancelled and offered to rebook our tour on a date over a month away. Offered a 10% coupon (limited to $15) on my “next booking”, but refused to apply the discount to the other tour we had booked through them. Charges were immediate, but refund will take up to a week. Will not use this company again.

They canceled my reservation the night before

I booked a trip to Versailles with this company for my whole family while visiting Paris. The night before I was supposed to arrive at their location for the trip (literally less than 12 hours) they sent me an email saying “the experience isn’t available anymore for the slot you reserved.” They offered a refund or “another experience.” No, thanks. My experience has been terrible so far, I don’t want another. Meanwhile there were plenty of tickets available on the official Versailles site and I was able to book directly through them. Even saved a money. Won’t be using headout again.

Warning!

For our experience visiting the Intrepid museum is that all we got when we thought we bought tickets are actually vouchers. So yes, you have to wait in the line to redeem those vouchers while you watch people go right in with real tickets. I reviewed the entire exchange with Head Out and nowhere was there mention of this. Really bogus!

So disappointed as we had tickets for events later in the afternoon and now the whole day was completely upended. Our genuine distress was noted by a museum supervisor who said Head Out had paid Google to be first in search results. True? IDK. Buyer beware right? So my fault. Just wish this weren’t so prevalent in our society.

Cheated out of 150 euros

Booked three tickets for Sagrada Família... received no tickets and when i sent an email asking for them i was told they were no longer available!!! Yet they took the money ... now im waiting apparently for seven days for a refund DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE they are complete crooks!!!!!!
