## What is 8BitCalc?

8BitCalc — the calculator that looks and feels like a classic British home micro.

Remember the rubber keys, the rainbow stripe, and that unmistakable pixel font? 8BitCalc brings all of it back — wrapped around a fully working, modern calculator.

AUTHENTIC 8-BIT HOME COMPUTER STYLE
• Original 8-bit typeface for every digit and symbol
• Signature rainbow stripe in the corner
• Deep black screen with crisp, glowing characters
• Tap the display to invert colours — just like a real CRT
• Classic "all clear" flicker flash when you reset

A CALCULATOR THAT ACTUALLY WORKS
• Add, subtract, multiply and divide with full operator chaining
• Square root and percentage — including context-aware percent
(e.g. 200 - 10% = 180, exactly how you'd expect)
• Decimal input with clean formatting
• Error handling for divide-by-zero and invalid roots
• All Clear (AC) and Clear (C) states, just like the originals
• Responsive layout for both portrait and landscape

BUILT FOR THE MODERN iPHONE
• Native SwiftUI — fast, smooth, and battery friendly
• Haptic feedback on every tap and result
• Supports iPhone and iPad, portrait and landscape
• No ads. No tracking. No subscriptions.

WHY YOU'LL LOVE IT
If you grew up with a home micro, this is a tiny piece of your childhood that fits in your pocket. If you didn't — welcome to the best-dressed calculator on the App Store.

Whether you're balancing a budget, splitting a bill, or just doing your homework, 8BitCalc turns everyday maths into a little trip back to the early 1980s.
