### 5/5 — Does exactly what it’s designed to do

*2024-09-21, version 2.3.0*

I wish more applications were like this. Well designed, no frills, and isn’t trying to push an unnecessary subscription on you. Kudos to the developers.

### 5/5 — Nice organization, progression and links

*2024-09-18, version 2.3.0*

Great framework. Getting me back in shape. I like the options for the short or long workouts.

### 5/5 — Best Bodyweight Fitness App

*2024-07-01, version 2.3.0*

This app is amazing: clean, simple-to-use interface; ability to swap out exercises based on skill level; easy-to-access videos demonstrating form; built-in timer; a workout flow that adapts as your exercises change.

I tried out the other free apps recommended on the Bodyweight Fitness sub-Reddit, and this one blows them out of the water.

Great job!

### 5/5 — Awesome app

*2024-05-24, version 2.3.0*

Does exactly what it’s supposed to do and nothing more. All for free. Hard to find an app like that these days.

Perfect for the RR with all the progression paths.

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2024-04-29, version 2.3.0*

I’ve tried every RR app and this one blows them all away. One of the best apps I’ve used in any category and it’s free! Nice job on this one and thank you!

### 5/5 — Beginner calistenthics

*2024-03-24, version 2.2.1*

Wasn’t sure where to start with my calistenthics journey. This has a clean and easy to follow format for anyone wanting to learn!

### 5/5 — Solid app but custom workouts is a must

*2024-03-24, version 2.2.1*

The app itself is great but it would be even better if I could make my own workout routine similar to “Hevy” instead of following the on the app gives you. Great app tho. 5/5

### 5/5 — Free and Wonderful

*2024-03-13, version 2.2.1*

Can’t believe how built out this is. I recommend it to everyone along with getting gymnast rings. No gym ever for me.

### 5/5 — Straight forward, simple, and perfect

*2024-02-21, version 2.2.1*

I started doing the r/body weight fitness recommended routine and this app helped me get started so easily.
It’s all here; the progressions, videos, rest times and timers. It’ll give examples and explain to you the steps of each exercise.
No extra bits or ads or trying to sell you stuff. No annoyances to get you side tracked.
Just pure straightforward useful app.
It’s so easy to get started on the routine when it’s already outlined and presented to you the way it’s written up. No more excuses now ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2024-02-20, version 2.2.1*

You guys are amazing! Thanks for putting in so much effort to keep the app updated

### 5/5 — Excellent app

*2024-02-12, version 2.2.1*

Easily the best fitness app on the AppStore
Minimal, no-bloat and great long term routines.

### 5/5 — Simple and Useful

*2023-12-09, version 2.2.0*

A simple app that works great

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 3/5 — Decent App

*2025-02-25, version 2.3.0*

App works fine. Major complaint is it doesn't save timer data as part of the reps. So I have no idea how long my holds are across workouts. Maybe I'm missing where that is but it's a major design flaw.

### 3/5 — Well-organized, but I have graphics complaints.

*2024-06-03, version 2.3.0*

Extremely helpful app for tracking. Love the timers and the explanations of exercises, most of which have photos and links to videos. Great stuff. My only complaint is that the graphics choice for the numbers (reps, seconds, etc) is illegible. I’m not sure if this was an aesthetic choice, or a bug with iOS, but I can’t find a way to change it in settings, and it definitely detracts from the overall utility.

### 3/5 — Great app, could be 5 star

*2023-12-29, version 2.2.1*

For some reason the timers between workouts are fine when changing apps or turning off the screen, but the workout timer pauses and is pretty much useless because of it. I also don’t seem to get alternate exercises re-selected each time, and every time I swap apps or open the info page it pauses any music playing. If those issues were fixed this app would be perfect

### 4/5 — Almost perfect!

*2026-06-24, version 2.5.1*

I really just want to be able to swap out things like the squat progressions for their weighted variants, but this is a very well setup app

### 4/5 — Great

*2023-12-08, version 2.2.0*

The app works great. The timer function doesn’t have any sound so it can be easy to loose track of when you’ve finished if you can’t easily see the screen. Some of the exercises don’t have a photo , or text on the screen to know what to do so you might have to remember from the up next info.

### 4/5 — Reddit bwf rec routine

*2022-12-19, version 1.9.3*

Great for following the reddit bwf routine. A bit unpolished. Some exercises are missing titles and images. Would be nice to be able to add weighted progressions.

### 4/5 — Great app, missing a couple features

*2022-01-03, version 1.4.4*

It would be awesome if there were some visualization of your progress. Also, I don’t see any way to back up my data; does this backup to the iCloud? I’m unsure.

### 5/5 — Superb app to get fir

*2026-07-26, version 2.5.1*

I love using this app for my bodyweight workouts. It is very clear, helpful and even add free. Thank you for the great app!

### 5/5 — Perfect

*2025-07-08, version 2.3.0*

This app is perfect for me as a beginner. It gives me full control to do the exercises that are aimed at my level and I can progress as I feel comfortable.

### 5/5 — Such a nice fitness app

*2025-06-29, version 2.3.0*

Has video and written instructions. Has nice tracking and progress.

My fave body weight fitness tracker.

## Most praised reviews (7 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — A Rare Case

*2025-04-29, version 2.3.0*

Not too often that you see a well developed app that is completely free of charge. No in app purchases and (as far as I can see) no option to donate, although I likely would.

### 5/5 — 5/5

*2025-01-29, version 2.3.0*

Considering this app is totally free, beautifully designed, includes clear path for progressions, information / videos for each exercise - easiest 5 stars for an app

### 5/5 — 2 weeks in

*2025-01-27, version 2.3.0*

This is a little early to give a comprehensive review. A little fidgety to navigate. I am making progress. The videos are a bit scattered as I go to several different you tube pages to understand what and how to perform. Sometimes the instructions in the program differ from what is shown in the video.

### 5/5 — Excellent app

*2025-01-22, version 2.3.0*

great tool to follow reddit RR, i would love to see what muscles i’m working on with each set . keep the good work

### 5/5 — Extremely Simple in The Best Way Possible

*2024-12-19, version 2.3.0*

This is the first time i’ve ever written a review for an app, but this app makes it so easy for me to follow the RR. The app is simply just a way to track your progress and workout doing the r/bodyweightfitness recommended routine. It lays everything out very cleanly and lets you look at all of the progressions and everything, and it also has the most important features you could have while not having feature bloat with poorly implemented less important features. It has a timer that when you click start it counts down 5 seconds before actually starting, it allows you to skip exercises in case you are recovering, it gives you text information about the specific workout, and it also gives you a youtube video that shows you exactly how to do the workout. It’s a really nice app and does exactly what you would want it to.

### 5/5 — Great app for the RR

*2024-12-16, version 2.3.0*

Amazing app for the Reddit Recommended Routine. One of the cleanest and well made apps I’ve ever used. Thanks!

### 5/5 — EXACTLY what I wanted!

*2024-11-27, version 2.3.0*

If you’re into body weight fitness, and want to put the progression of the book Overcoming Gravity into use, this app easily lets you progress through the exercises while retaining EVERYTHING! It even lets you continue your workout weeks later if you stopped in the middle. AMAZING APP! I never write reviews, but this app deserved it. Ever have a feeling like, “If I could program, I’d made an app that does THIS…” THIS IS THAT APP! 😎💪🫡
