  • My most used and relied upon app!

I love Things, it was recommend to my by a friend and I have recommended to many people. I use it mainly for work but also have an area/ tag for Home. Repeating tasks, tags, Evening and the logbook are some of the best features. I have multiple clients and each client has their own tag, each with multiple to-do’s under them. It’s so simple to use and extremely effective. I have Things for iPhone and iPad. I need to use a PC for work so unfortunately I don’t have a desktop version and this is my one disappointment. Any chance of a windows desktop version?!

  • Great Across devices!

I have a super compact iPhone 8, a MacBook for work and an iMac at home. Things is superb across all 3 and have delivered transparency to my day-to-day with the clean, flexible planner. Love it! It gets better with every update and short cut!

Great to hear that you're enjoying Things across all of your devices! 👍🏻
  • Fantastic tool, can it do more?

This is my most used app across my devices, helping manage projects, to-dos and generally organising my work life. The streamlined interface and simple design really allow your tasks to be front and centre.

There are some things that I’d love to see come to future versions of the app:
    - the ability to add headings within areas, just like you can in projects. This would be really useful to separate out tasks within areas that don’t fall in to a specific project
    - expand the ‘Today’ and ‘This Evening’ feature so include ‘This Morning’ and ‘This Afternoon’. This would help to better layout a day of tasks
    - finally, the ability to create templates for projects. I have several projects that occur regularly, and while I have a template set up, this exists as just another project in the app. It would be great to have a separate menu or filter to store these templates

I can’t fault the app, these are ideas that could take it even further

  • Must Have App

Can’t live without Things! After years of writing notes on pads and bits of paper Things revolutionised my life. Simple, intuitive, easy, efficient, no silly nonsense, just streamlined to-do lists. My #1 productivity app.

    Thanks for this wonderful review!
  • What on earth were they thinking?

This would have been a nearly perfect app for its purpose except for one colossally stupid design decision that users have been complaining about for over 4 years with no movement at all from the developers to correct the problem (and yet the geniuses at Apple made it an editors choice). For many of us our lives are filled with tasks that should be done not any further in the future than a certain number of days after the task has been completed. But most of the world tries to complete at least some of our tasks before that next date. We need tasks to repeat (for example) a certain number of days after we did the thing, not a certain number of days after the originally scheduled time. Things 3 has no way to mark such a task complete until the next time some stupid template regenerates at some future date that is no longer useful to you. And they have been told this for years with no attempt whatsoever to fix the problem. Things 3 is otherwise basically perfect but this brain dead refusal to fix the inability to handle one of the most common events in all of task management renders it completely and utterly useless in my life. But nobody has cared with regard to the numerous requests for this to be fixed that are scattered all over the Internet. What on earth were they thinking?

  • Fantastic App from a Wunderlist User

Really like this app and my experience is very consistent with all the glowing reviews. I have been using Wunderlist for years and never figured why they never charged me for using the app. Anyway, they have sold to Microsoft so was in search of something similar that could sync between my iPhone and Mac (not too worried about iPad or iWatch). Downloaded free trial version to Mac and was SO impressed....suspect some of the developers used to work for Wunderlist. Really clean and simple and very easy to set up syncing with the cloud. I was converted and made the purchase in an hour. I don’t feel bad about paying for a tool that I use everyday. Great job and love the iPhone version too. Not working so well with my iWatch but less bothered by that.

  • I really get things done with this app!

I’ve tried a few ToDo type apps and they are either to simple or to complicated. Things is both. You can use it in a simply basic manner or it has the structure that allows for more detailed involved planning. And I love the logbook feature to go back and look at ALL the Things you’ve done This feature is dated so if you bother to have some detail to (in some cases a mere) reminder eg ring ISP about Internet malfunction all weekend - then you effectively have a diary you can refer back to as to the date you did something. Handy if you have an ongoing issue where this info is helpful in the long term.
Definitely worth the few bucks I paid.

  • ThingsCloud? No thanks...

Why would you require a things cloud account to sync the watch to the iPhone. You are not entitled to my data. Looking for an alternative...
  • Brilliant App!

I’ve been using Things in iOS and macOS for years and have no complaints. I love the app so much, from the ease of use to the delightful interface. Don’t know where I’d be without my Things 😍
  • Looks good so far

    I like the clean interface.
It’s new to me so I’m looking to find all the functions as fast as possible which seems easily able future to be done.
Looking forward to the app developing in
    Future
