Works good unless you have an Adblocking app running, then it will say “can’t connect to server” so be aware to turn that off when using the app. Love Gyu-Kaku’s establishment and the ability to review the server when scanning barcodes in the app. It keeps the restaurant knowing who is doing really good out there!Show lessxtigacx

Terrible app
Been using the app to rack up points. Now that I have points to use, suddenly it’s locks me out and I cannot log in. I’ve clicked the forgot password to get the email sent for password reset, but it never sent.
I have 1,000 plus points. All my points that will expire around Mother’s Day 2022 have expired and some will expire soon yet I still cannot get it to send me a password reset to get my account back.
It’s suspicious that I have been able to use the app and suddenly it’s not letting me log back in. I have not received any emails to this day to have my password reset. I know my account has not been compromised because I did not receive any emails that my password was reset prior to this issue. They need to fix this if they’re gonna to promote everyone to use the app.Show lessvmnguyen07

This place is wonderful for a solo or a group. They are always so kind and the food is good. The service is the best in Charlotte. Highly recommend this restaurant for just about any occasion.StickItInUrPieHole
Notifications Control
Like with most Japanese companies, they tend to be insular and only want to work with other Japanese companies. So I assume they are working with a Japanese app developer, and if that is the case, I get why this app isn’t fully flushed out and why it’s so basic (there are no big/successful Japanese dotcoms, and they lag when it comes to the internet/apps).
Regardless of the rewards/promos offered by Gyu-Kaku/Rein which are great (minus going from a flat $25 off to a percentage), this is a basic app with very limited functionality. It is so limited that even if I turned off notifications via my iOS, I am still inundated via email of how my points are constantly expiring (yea, they added that too, why? We earned the points except “use it or lose it”).
I have/had ten of thousand of points, so this can get extremely annoying quick because I am constantly being notified of expiring eff’n points!!! or of promos.
I know Gyu-Kaku as a restaurant operation is at the top of their game, except this app reflects their limitations as a company and the 3rd party’s ineptitude. Get on it and fix this issue (I don’t expect that to happen tho).Show lessGreg-I-am
