  • Only lets you save 30 pairs of shoes

    Decent app otherwise, but it should allow users to save more than 30 pairs of shoes. Many of us have a shopping style where we pick out numerous options, then narrow them down. When you’ve applied filters but there are still 400 results, that’s too many shoes to look through & remember to not be able to save all of the “maybe” options. With as busy of lifestyles as people have, they don’t always have time to make a choice then and there and favoriting things also allows them to return later. I'm also not willing to take 50 screen caps on my phone of the shoes I like, as I can't click through to the shoes and would have to perform a manual search for each of them. This lack of a feature made me abandon the app tonight & I’m sure the same thing is happening to other customers. Would love if you could increase how many shoes you can save, as I’m sure this is costing your company money. Thanks for your consideration!

  • One Star Until App Is Fixed

    Previous review: Overall, this app is good. Sometimes it’s just too easy to buy new shoes. I have one complaint. When clicking on offers, they are sometimes so bright that they hurt my eyes. The app doesn’t have permission to change the brightness of my screen, so this shouldn’t be happening. In settings, I have turned off auto-brightness. At this point, I feel that DSW is doing something underhanded to change things that I don’t want changed. This needs to stop!

    Part of the developer’s response was: Our app only adjusts the brightness when displaying barcodes to ensure they scan easily in stores. We don’t change your device's brightness settings otherwise.

    One problem is the once the app changes the brightness WITHOUT MY PERMISSION, it doesn’t change it back to where it was. I understand that the brightness needs to be adjusted in store to scan barcodes. Here’s a novel idea - train your employees! Further, the barcode is on the page where all of the details of an offer are located. So, the brightness doesn’t just affect the barcode. This is a major flaw with this app, and I’m very dissatisfied with the developer’s dismissive and inaccurate response.

  • TERRIBILE App!

    I downloaded this app and proceeded to order 2 pairs of sneakers, paid for them so I could pick up the same day at a local store and waited. And waited. And WAITED. Both orders were cancelled. Thinking that perhaps the problem was with the pickup location, I had the EXACT same problem, only this time I ordered two completely different brands of shoes, different styles, chose a different local store for pickup for one pair and chose the shipping option for the second pair on day 2. The SAME exact thing happened. And in the interim my credit card WAS charged and the charges for all four pair are still on my credit card. Obviously this app is completely unreliable and it is NOT possible to actually shop on this app, because either the app or the brick and mortar stores are dropping the ball and canceling orders, and NOT canceling the charge . AVOID this app, it will deliver nothing but STRESS and HEADACHES!

  • Major pw issues since 2020. Just delete app

    Ever since the hacking, the password area has just not worked. I ordered shoes earlier today after calling to reset pw multiple times. Now I cant get back in. Again. And no confirmation of the order. Is the app controlled by hackers? What is going on? I think the hackers intercepted the contact info. There was dif text and pop up. Worst app ever. Here is the bad number that was in the app to call. Whole process was a waste. No order came through although my cc has been charged. Just delete the app and be done.

    18 July 2024 Update: I had to call and they did have my order despite no confirmation email. I think part of the problem is the pw cannot have too many symbols and can still only be so long. That would be helpful to know. I rec using the website instead. Less problems. I updated my rating. I think DSW tool a pounding during the pandemic and with the hacking they encountered the last several years. I miss how flexible and generous the coupons were in the past. Everyone is trying to make due right now with difficult situations. Developers, Thanks for responding.

  • Since the last few updates, app can’t accept password

    I used to love this app. However, the last few updates have rendered it useless. I have a password that is longer than the app allows me to enter. The password field cuts off and won’t allow me to finish it, meaning my password isn’t accepted. My password works fine on the web, but I can’t login on the app at all. If I shorten my password, then it is a lot less secure, so I have chosen to just not use the app at all and will be deleting it from my phone. This means I will shop on other competitor apps now that do work and that I can enable Face ID to login. Bad job, dsw. The app should be able to accept a password that meets the requirements so that a user can login! And, the one time I managed to get logged into the app (after I had to do a reset after not realizing the app was cutting off my password and locked my account), the app logged me out when I navigated away from it and came back less than 5 minutes later. Until this is fixed, it’s a waste of memory on my device.

  • Could not use Apple Pay or enter my card manually

    After several attempts using Apple Pay and entering cc card manually and getting the message that payment cannot go through, I then use Venmo with that same exact card and it went through so something is going on. It was kind of frustrating to have to enter my card that many times this morning, but the transaction is now done.
    I was just trying to get the Bogo deal on the app so I could go to the store and pick up one of the shoes today which I’m going to do, so problem is resolved, but I did send a chat message when all this was going on and I got a canned message back saying that you guys were busy, but I guess for the best since I took care of it. Just thought you should know because I almost gave up and that would mean the other people are also giving up on their purchase if it was happening to them. Thank you

  • Contact during checkout

    There is something wrong with this prompt. After numerous attempts to add the “Contact” phone number during checkout, I gave up trying to use the Venmo payment method. Just kept on saying “something went wrong.” It never worked if I tried to use Venmo as payment type. It finally worked only by adding a new credit card even though there was already a valid one on file. I am not interested in spending my personal time helping DSW troubleshoot a problem with the use of this form of payment if there is no compensation because endeavors can become very time consuming. Just letting you know, choosing Venmo as form of payment does not work properly even when the Venmo app is installed, up to date and working fine on the device being used to order from DSW.

  • Meh. You can only save 30 pairs in your favorites

    DSW as a shoe store is great; it’s fine. The app is not that great. One issue I have is that there aren’t acct pics of the shoes on someone’s actual foot. My main issue is that you can only have 30 pairs of shoes in your favorites at one time, which, for someone as indecisive as I am, is quite ridiculous and annoying. A few summers ago, I was looking for the perfect white heeled sandal for my bridal shower as well as shoes for my reception and found many pairs I liked; however, since I was searching for new booties during the previous fall season and saved a good amount of them that I liked and since I had saved a random pair here and there in the time between those two events, I was only to able to add 6 pairs during my sandal search. 6 is an ok amount to choose from I guess, but that is beside the point. Idk why I chose that example now. Anyway, I rarely use the app ever since the first big search I did where I learned there was a limit on how many favorites you can save. It’s just dumb. Please just let me save all the shoes I like; I’ll probably end up buying more shoes and spending more money that way haha… just saying.

  • Website difficulty

    Worst website. Rarely lets you go anywhere and go back correctly. Tried to subscribe 3 times and never could find me later. Had to renter 3 times so 2 carts randomly have an item in my cart. When go from shoe to chat for more info chat person doesn’t know what shoe I came from and if I go back can’t reconnect with on going chat. Then when try going back lose it and back to trying to go in and takes long time just to find the site with my uterus in it so basically redid that one and bought that item and going elsewhere to buy sneakers. WHAT QUALITY CONTROL PERSON SIGNED TO ALLOW THIS WEBSITE TO BE ACCESSED BY ?potential? Customers. They and techs should be held accountable. Maybe even simplify site for better function and train chat people it’s functionality or lack of. I’ve had a very difficult day searching Black Friday deals. This site is the worst.

  • The best App for shoes shopping

    I find this app more convenience for myself when I want to get some shoes for my family or myself. Whenever I go to the show rooms, I spend a lot of time and couldn’t find the sizes that I’m looking for but with this app it’s quite easy and more comfortable to select the sizes, the items and to get all the promotions and discounts. The good things also, is that you have an option to have help almost 24/7 with a great people help you with every single question immediately. Even though the show room is next-door from my house, but I’d rather to do it online through the app.
