  • Just what A Mama needs when she’s in Labor!

I had previously downloaded a similar app but quickly realized that it wasn’t as efficient and convenient as I would have liked it to have been. This one though!!!! With the contraction timer app I was able to start and stop my contractions with one push of a button, the chart/log between contractions and how long the contractions lasted was very easy to read and comprehend. Needless to say, I started consistently tracking my contractions around 8pm on Feb6, and by 6 am Feb7, I headed to the hospital because they were about 5-7 mins apart. When I arrived at the hospital (& approx 30 mins later when they performed their cervical exam to see how far I had dilated , I was already 6cm) I share that to say that the app helped me decide when it was “really” time to head to the hospital as opposed to having false alarm of labor and being sent home!
Download the app!!!! Thank me later!

  • Time is of the essence

I had irregular contractions for 12 hours and then BAM!!! Full force contractions for 45sec (+/-) at a time every min and a half. I didn’t think I could get to the hospital fast enough. My plan of delaying pain meds went FLYING out the window 😂
This app helped me keep track when things got going bc there was no watching the clock and keeping track of it.

  • Second pregnancy, still my favorite contraction timer!

I found this while in active labor with my first and remembered it being exactly what I needed at the time. Heading into labor with my second, I was able to find the app I'd used before and it is still just as convenient! I love how easy it is to start and stop, that it shows you duration as well as time between contractions, and that it has an Apple Watch paired app. The contraction intensity is a nice feature too. Well done, developers!

  • Well thought out

I really like all the information this tracks on one page for me and how easy it is to interface. Keeps track of time, duration, Intensity, and even graphs it out for you to see the big picture. Not to mention being able to add notes to a particular contraction. This has been a much better app than the last one I used for our first baby. Would defined recommend this.

  • Editable Contraction App

The fact that this is the only free contraction app that allows you to add and edit contractions later on makes it a too choice for me. One minor thing, I wish the timer below the start button would change to reflect if you have the setting set to time the start or end of your contraction. I see now where the time is being updated based on the setting but originally (I blame pregnancy brain) I did not.

  • Was able to use all the features for free

Some apps don’t allow necessary features like editing the contraction time unless you buy the full version. I was glad everything was included in this free app. We used it my whole labor! I like how it told you how many minutes were in between without have to to do the math ourselves when we don’t have time to think about that. Loved it!

  • Best contraction timer

I downloaded heaps of different timers to see which was best for my contractions and this one is by far the most intuitive and easy to use. I highly recommend it! :)
  • Simple, effective: download and use straight away!

I went into early labour at 36 weeks and for hours had been ignoring cramping. When I realised how painful it was and what was going on I randomly downloaded this app and used it immediately. So simple, no messing round, intuitive, just tap the screen - just what I needed while in pain (no endless data collection or setting up). Really useful to have visualisation/info of contractions (duration, frequency) for discussions with midwives over the phone. Reassuring to have the information on how your body is progressing and make decisions about when to go to hospital.

  • The worst

This app not only asks you repeatedly for a rating WHILE you are in labour, but when you fave and do it between contractions, and makes you think of a unique nick name in order to submit and I was told about five time the name was taken before I typed a load of rubbish and it got approved. The last thing you need when you’re in labour.

Also got served constant ads about private cesarians which having contractions - again not something you want to be thinking about when you’re just trying to get into the right headspace are home.

Otherwise, it’s a good timer, as I’m sure they all are 🤷‍♀️

  • Tried them all, 5th baby, this is the best (free) one

5th baby, let me tell you what you’re looking for in a contraction app. You NEED to be able to edit contractions. You need to be able to add contractions after they happen. If you can’t do those two things, the app isn’t helpful for timing contractions. This app does it—it’s not pretty, it doesn’t have lots of frills, but it does those things consistently and for free so it’s my go to for next baby, too.
