Zwift is awesome but the companion app is not
Zwift is great but this app needs some improvement. Right off the bat when I am using it on my iPad I notice it is not full screen. Instead it is a phone app that they were too lazy too convert into a native iPad app.
Where is the average speed? Hard to believe something so basic is missing. I know Zwift is all about power because speed is affected by your in game bike, but I still want to know. Also the map could be better. While seeing where you are in a particular course is somewhat interesting, I would really like to know the length and elevation of my ride so it would be great if there was a map mode with a ride profile showing upcoming hills, etc.
The icons in the ride need labels. I never know what these do so most of them I just don’t use. And the power ups I usually need to press twice otherwise I miss it.Show lessGeorge.200
Apple watch Support is flakey
First off, I love riding in Zwift!
However, trying to pair my apple watch to Zwift through my phone while riding on my ipad is exceptionally frustrating. My watch will say its paired, but cannot read my heart rate. This comes up in the ipad screen as "connection failure". I've tried restarting all of my devices (multiple times) to no avail. I read some forums on the issue and it seems like it's pretty common.
That said, the stuff all worked a couple weeks ago, and having to worry about my gear takes me out of the ride.Show lesspewpewpewpewpewpewpw

Great Fitness Tool Shame About The Glitches.. Great motivation tool but very annoyed that the bug has not been fixed which crashes my Zwift app when you get to the top of Alpe Du Zwift. Apparently this bug has been reported for weeks and weeks but has still not been fixed.

Awesome but it won’t connect with Garmin
I’m having trouble to connect to my Garmin watch. When I click the Garmin logo on the app under connections, it doesn’t open the options like Strava. Other than that, it’s a good app to pair with Zwift on your computer and ride with friends.MarianaGroth
Love the app!
I love to chat with other riders. Makes the ride more enjoyable and go faster. There’s also other stuff I can do like check events, past activities, fan view riders.. lots of things. Would like to be able to give ride ons to riders who are not riding in the same world. ? An IPhone issue? Only way to do it is to disconnect the app then really quickly give thumbs up before you’re moved to your chosen worldShow lessF.L.E.T.C.H.

Map disappears
Since the latest update (November 3), the course map loads for half a second and disappears :(. I removed the app and installed it anew to no effect. It’s running on iOS15. Help!Gelgen
You need it but should be better
The Companion App works in game to help change direction and shout out to fellow riders. Press the white circle on the map to give a thumbs up (not covered in any instructions.) Whilst not in Zwift you can use the companion app to plan the next ride and review your last one. But it’s missing the ability to view your virtual garage never mind being able to change your bike, wheels or gear. You can’t even view your medals or achievements. Should be renamed Zwift Remote as this makes more sense.Show lessmadahammers
Good app, but syncing with the Zwift app rarely works
Using companion app on my iPhone and the Zwift app on my iPad they almost never sync up. So, I can rarely track my progress live through the companion app during an event while Zwifting. The companion app is great as it has a lot of cool features during an event that you simply can’t do on the standard Zwift app (like five thumbs up to riders nearby), but as it rarely switches to live view correctly I can almost never use companion for anything other than post ride analysis.Show lessgahdhch)nauw, dh:d. i: u
