Be warned minicabs may not turn up

Being helpfully reassured at 4:30am that although your minicab is not coming they are very sorry and will refund you doesn’t get you to the airport. Avoid.

Unbelievably poor

I used this app to book a journey 2 months ahead of time. Out of courtesy I thought to call the taxi company direct on the day to make sure my ride was still good for that evening, only to be told that it’d been cancelled weeks ago. No emails, no notifications, nothing. The ride was still showing as booked in the app. After chasing for a solution for 6 hours (which completely ruined my evening) I was then asked to give them more time… 6 hours to find a taxi for 4 people. Then they cancel the trip leaving myself and 3 colleagues stranded 45 miles from home. Needless to say, the costs I then incurred were significant to make alternative arrangements as it was then after midnight before we found another taxi. Do not rely on MiniCabit if taxis are your only option.

Great service, good prices

I’ve used this service for several UK airport transfers - easy to book, drivers on time and pleasant, excellent customer service when I’ve had any queries.

Trip To Windsor

I booked a taxi from Heathrow Airport to Windsor for December 8th, 2023. The initial process was seamless. Everything was great. The problem started after I landed. I realized that my traveling companions were arriving at a different terminal. I notified the driver 1 hour 5 minutes before the pickup time of the change. I could have cancelled the trip instead. I chose not to. I notified the driver of the terminal change. I then got a call from the taxi company dispatcher who said he was including an amendment charge due to the change in pickup location. I had no choice at this point to agree but I did inform the man that I wound be contesting the charge through Minicabit. When I returned to New York, I contacted Mincabit support and informed them of my displeasure. They eventually responded and told me that the charge was for a late pickup. I don’t know how that was possible since I had approved the amendment charge over 30 minutes before the scheduled pickup time. They offered zero help except some kind of puny discount on future trips. There’s no way I am going to use them in the future based on this experience.

Easy app to use!

I really like the Minicabit app as it’s easy to navigate and use. The experience I’ve had with every ride has been brilliant and I really like their terms and conditions of the service, such as the 15 minute free wait time.
I’d recommend downloading the app for people who use Minicab frequently as it’s incredibly convenient.

Impossible to contact

It’s all very well being able to book taxis, but if there is any kind of problem at all, such as them not turning up or needing to alter the booking times, it is an impossibility to get anybody to answer the phone at minicabit. The last booking I had, I wanted to alter as one of my party was running late due to train delays, but I couldn’t get hold of anybody at minicabit. Their phone just rang and rang. So I rang the taxi company themselves, who said that it was now too late to alter the booking. It was not my fault, as I had tried very hard to contact minicabit but this cost me an extra £10 with the taxi company to rebook.
This is the second bad experience I’ve had with Minicabit andI won’t be doing it again.

Good rides

Have been using minicabit on many occasions or booking for family visits. It’s simple to book, can easily cancel if needed and the prices are competitive. You will receive text messages and direct phone nr of the drivers so you can contact them when needed.

Good service so far

I have used Minicabit twice now over the last year after a bad experience with another provider. So far, they offered a reliable service and access to cab services which have proven to be reliable and friendly drivers. Also good value for money and good information provided through the App.

Reliable service, good price

I have been using the Minicabit service for years and have always found the drivers, pleasant and cheerful, very knowledgable on the most efficient route. I like the fact that the charges are known in advance. The driver has always picked me up more than on time, I have never had an issue in more than 20 rides with a service. I will definitely use it again and highly recommend it.
