  • Great Game, Awful controls/Slowdown. Still want Garou 2!!

Garou is my favorite fighting game ever. But this port isn't anything compared to the NEO GEO copy I have at home. Extreme slowdown, no way to properly input moves.

Boss characters are selectable on screen which leads me to believe this is the bootleg Mark of the Wolves+, and your TOP is adjustable I'm not sure if that was ever In a home release but certainly isn't in the arcade release.

Alright to support the series but nothing i would want as some bodies entry to this amazing fighting game.

Here's to hoping we'll finally get Garou 2 after it was reportedly over 75% done. Joe in this style would be a godsend!

  • Still the best; bugs and all

The music runs a bit slow and the controls needs more polish. But the gameplay of this classic still holds pretty well.
  • Best fighting game on iPhone

Controls are right, gameplay is right, graphics are gorgeous. Like fighting games at all? Even just a little? Play this, it's seriously the best on touch.
    10 stars- 2D forever!
  • Yay another classic SNK game

I love the classic fighting games. Plays great. Only thing is that it sometimes lags a bit. Nothing else. Could you guys port an art of fighting game to the IOS next please. Thanks!
  • Game specs

Great game,I used to play these games on arcade machines as a kid,and to be able to play them for practically nothing is awesome.
I much prefer this game to king of fighters 97,maybe an update would fix it,and as a sequence game I'd go for an earlier king of fighters game,or one of the many others.
It would also be great to get some more platform games on like Top Hunter, magician lord and spy hunter for now.

  • It's great but the controls

I've been captivated by fighters ever since I was a little kid. I have fond memories of watching the demo fights of Fatal Fury at the laundromat. So I'm very pleased to see these older releases that I never got to play as a kid. I've been playing around with it and while the sprits move fantastic the over all controls feel off. I guess these just weren't optimized well for the IOS. Still I had allot of fun and smiles playing Terry in story mode.

  • Phenomenal!!!

Simply put, this is an incredible old school arcade fighter!!!! On your phone..... Arcade perfect!!! Let's remember people, this game alone used to cost £150 back in the day..... £150!!!😱😱😱😱 I bought the whole SNK fight collection for £8.00..... 👍👍👍👍

I can't believe how much replay value in getting out of this!!! PLUS..... I get to play this on my Apple TV on a 60inch TV with no lag!! Totally smooth!!! Perfection!!! Thank you SNK!!! You have made my year with these gems!!

This game in particular is utter gaming gold!!!! 👍👍👍👍 You really can't get better fighters than these originals.... I love my cap in fighters..... but these hidden masterpieces are arguably far better!!! I'm talking Street Fighter 3 level perfection!!!👍👍👍👍

  • Great classic ruined by horrid touch controls

Bought this game for the Neo AES long ago(still love it to this day). Picked this up on the $0.99 sale. The touch controls are terrible! I'll try to do something simple like jumping forward, and my character will jump backwards instead. Unplayable without one of those Bluetooth controllers
  • Awesome game, Cumbersome controls

As my review suggest, it is an awesome fighting game to play. The touchscreen controls on the other hand... I wish I had the adaptor to fully enjoy the game. When you want to do a simple ⬇️↘️➡️ or ⬇️↙️⬅️, it's a little difficult to pull it off.

I also notice that this port suffers from slowdown especially if you play it on older models. Other than that, it is an awesome game to play.

  • Great game, Mobile port needs a few changes.

If only I had a controller the experience would be great.

If you are purchasing the game because you love old arcade fighters then this is a very tempting purchase. The problem lies in the controls though.

Trying to do a simple 236, think hadouken from street fighter, is a chore and the AI however has no problem.

The difficulty should be adjusted for mobile as it is much more difficult to pull off moves that are considered entry level BNB on any arcade or console with a decent control layout.

The two extra buttons on the top right also seem to do nothing for me. Perhaps I am using them incorrectly? I have moved them, resized them, etc but nothing comes of pressing them.

In truth, just adding a button to do special moves in conjunction with a single direction seems more appropriate on this platform as it is likely you will be constantly jumping or crouching instead of doing an actual move.

TLDR: if you like missed commands and eating kicks to the face, buy this.
