what happened ?

I can't move on to the next step by agreeing on the data collection page. It is not able to tap button on iPhone 12mini. there is no button.

Total waste of money - steer clear

I made the mistake of purchasing three of the CTEK devices for vehicles owned by various members of the family. Total waste of about $300 (Australian). Their software is rubbish and never worked reliably with any of the three devices. Their tech support is a joke and when they eventually responded to complaints they kept promising that they would fix the problems. Never happened. Now I have been contacted and told that all of my CTEK devices will no longer work because they have “old firmware”.

Works ok but could be better

This app was easy to download and set-up. It does the basic job of what volts, temp and charge % but the scales are a bit hopeless. As other have said 0-25v isn’t much good when the interest range is 11-15v most of the time. Same for temp

The other issue is it often fails to connect or takes some while to do so. Needs to be more reactive.

I will buy another sensor for my other battery but I expected more from CTEk!

Great System

We now have CTEK Battery Sense monitors on 4 vehicles and an electric start chipper. Incredibly helpful to have months of charge state data for each battery - know exactly when to charge with our CTEK MX 5 chargers and we can tell which batteries are getting close to replacement. We’re on iOS 15 and have no connection or transmission problems. Have an acquaintance on Android who has problems.
I do wish the resolution on the vertical axis of the graphs in app could be zoomed. State of charge and temperature are moderately useful, but the fixed range of 0 to 25 for voltage is useless for a 12 volt system.

Update needed

Guys, people are really singing out for an update, i can say that my product is working fine and helping me out a lot, but the app needs some work, i paid $80 for the device and i would love to be able to see some more precise historical voltage data for over the last few days, the data is already there but we need a better way to view it, i can’t log trends between 10V and 15V it’s way too broad of a view. Pretty please, make some changes.

Works you just got to figure it out

Instructions are a little vague when entering numbers to pair your dongle first time
And the camera scan didn’t work with the new iphone 13 pro you’re not able to to zoom in to scan the barcode

Once I figured out you only need to enter all the numbers, without the first 4 I was up and running so no issues after
Once achieved that.

Auto reconnect so far it has been doing so once I am in a 10 metre range

Avoid avoid avoid

I have x2 of these Ctek battery sense units and they are complete garbage, I have installed the latest version of the app and now neither will connect to my phone, when they did work before the update they were hit and miss as to whether they would actually connect or not but now I have nothing.
These should be a very simple unit to get right, I have zero confidence in anything Ctek produces if they cannot get very basic stuff to work properly.

Doesn’t work

Have used the app for a couple of years, never really worked properly. Tried to install the app on a new phone and can’t get past the initial setup screen, it just doesn’t work… rendering my 4 x battery sensors absolutely useless…. guess I’ll be pulling them off and putting them in the bin. Won’t be buying Ctek ever again “cheap and nasty”.

Fahrenheit

App does what it’s meant to do, if the temperature scale could be increased to 120F it would be perfect. Celsius does not appear to have this issue.

Very poor App such a company like Ctek…

It's time to update the App! More features should be include and have much nicer graphics! Such a company like Ctek will fall into discredit with this poor app!
