  • Increase your word power!

I recently completed 101 games on the free version of Word Master, and decided that it was way past time to support the developer with a purchase of the Pro version, even though you can play the free version without any restrictions. For the record, my score agains the app (on the Hard level) was 85 to 15 in my favor, with four Bingos. The one extra game was a draw. I am currently 49 games in at the Master level, of which I have won 24 (with five Bingos). I love the challenge of beating the app while learning many strange new words at the same time. I have a bunch of games on my iPad, but WM is the only game I play every day.

  • Great Scrabble-style Game

This is a good Scrabble clone, nice clear interface and just enough options. Difficulty levels are accurate — easy is easy, medium is a good game, hard is quite a challenge! The only feature i would request is more detailed stats about my game history, for example i would like to see a record of all my scores so i could track my progress. All in all, a great game, well worth the price. If you like Scrabble or other word games i highly recommend.

  • Very addictive and great way to keep your mind active

I have really enjoyed this game, and so far I consider myself just a beginner, and have not used all the features.
I like the non standard board layout variation, and wonder if you have ever considered adding the ability to select a larger and or different profile of letters in the available letter pool.
Also a handy cheat might be to display what letters are left in the pool — maybe at a cost deducted from your current points.

Fantastic job - please keep improving :-)

  • Better than Pro Scrabble and Words

If you want to play solo, there’s none better than this app. I had Scrabble, the paid version still bought this one.
Tile sizes are far better, the notch does not interfere as in scrabble and unlike Words, there are meaningful stats kept for your viewing.

So good that I paid for a game that I already had (allegedly) from its original source: Scrabble by Habsbro.

  • Good game with minor issues

Generally a very solid game and, indeed, better than the scrabble app. Impressed enough to purchase the pro version, which is worth the money. Frustratingly, the game often fails to recognise legitimate words. Similarly, it will credit words that are not in the dictionary and thus can’t be defined. If devs were able to fix this set of errors, it would be the best word-tile game I’ve played as an app, and one of the best I’ve played irrespective of platform.

  • Addictive but educational

Love playing scrabble so downloaded the standard version of Wordmaster. Great being able to as play against the computer but didn’t think I’d get hooked so quickly. This is a great app & although addictive it’s also great finding new words. I’ve had so much fun from this app that I decided a couple of weeks ago to download the pro version so now there are no interruptions. Great game......Great app👍🏻

  • Word Master

It is a good game, But it is like playing a spoilt Brat. He has got to win at all times. Or he has a tantrum, The English Dictionary is American yet has Union Jack flag. It has stupid Yank words.

For serious players of the well known word board game this is by far the best app. Plays at grand master level (in the settings you can get it not hold back by including all obscure words and random racks). Not sure quite how well defined the strategy side is but its ability to find best plays is awesome. Forget about the EA app and use this one if you want to sharpen your game to to the highest level.

As another review states, this app is exactly what I was seeking. Simple, fast, helpful, ad free (pro version), and no nonsense of trying to collect my address book, location, or other data.
I wish all apps were this good.
I like the feature that shows the best word that could have been played. I'm not a longtime Scrabble player, but I am thoroughly enjoying playing it with Word Master.
If this app was a vegetable, it would be organic. If it was an engine, it would be a small block Chevy. If it was a day of the year, it would be in middle fall. If it was a song, it would be an early Neil Young. If this app was a bird, this app would be a blue jay. And if this app was a beer, it would be nice and cold. Just right.
