  • Word nerds, This app rocks!

Was looking to sideload old Scrabble app (which was replaced by the HORRIBLE Scrabble GO), when I happened upon Word Master. If you love Scrabble, you'll love it. Dictionary isn't perfect but overall very good. I play the hardest level competitively. One of the best features is that you can look up definitions right in the app. Love that you can also see what the highest scoring words were for you previous turn. Highly recommended.

  • Satisfies my Scrabble addiction.

Thank you for this excellent app. Bought it after just one tryout. Playing on iPad Pro, this fulfils my desire to play Scrabble, a lot. Wish I had found it sooner. At first I thought there was too big a gap between Hard and Master, but then realised that by turning OFF the setting for favourable letters (I think the default was Medium), I get a better balanced game at either level.
Then Customised the Board and a minor change in Letters. Now it’s just like true Scrabble and I’m Happy As.
For over 20 years I have played Scrabble almost every day against computer (due to lack of a present & willing human opponent) 🙃 With the iPad I can play anytime, anywhere.

  • The One You’re Looking For

This is the crossword-style game you’re looking for. Straightforward with a decent AI. Not 500 ads after every play. No upselling, though I did opt for the ad free version, which also includes a few other perks. No memberships coins or games that are completely unrelated to what you’re trying to play. Exactly what you want.

  • Word Master Review

It was such a relief to find Word Master after having been a Scrabble player since childhood and being disappointed with the new format of the online Scrabble!
  • Love & Hate It

This application is excellent. The features and ability to customize it are very nice and well beyond the old (discontinued) Scrabble app. Playing the game is easy as you want it to be but hard as it can be on the most difficult level.

This application is terrible. The algorithms are clearly set to load the rack of letters with losing combinations to increase difficulty. The statistical probability of having all of the “U”‘a or V”’s, or nothing but vowels is clearly low. Having this happen on a regular/consistent basis seems impossible or is improbable at best.

Overall, the application has made me a better player. I take the impossible letter racks and make the best hand I can (I refuse to be forced into an exchange of letters). This, coupled with the “master” teaching feature has improved my game to where my high scores have trended much higher. But about that faulty algorithm….

  • Much better than Scrabble

The numbers for the letters make better sense and I like the different boards, especially maze
  • Addictive

This is a good challenge and I spend more time on it than I should, but I tell myself it is good for me.
The only question I have about it is the randomness of the letters. The letters appear in chunks very often, more often than I would expect for them to completely be random. It affects the game, because I know if I receive 5 A’s in two plays (for instance) there will be no more A’s in the rest of the game.
It would be nice if this could be corrected, but I love the game.

  • Word Master Pro-the one to play!

This is the version of Scrabble to play! It is worth the small cost to play the game without ads popping up every two turns like the official one does. Also, when you play against the computer the game goes very quickly because the computer makes extremely fast moves! Highly recommended!
  • Kick back and ignore the boring lecture!!!

Relax!!! Whether your in the “waiting room, listening to a dull voice rambling on or waiting on your wife or watching T-ball, Word Master is a pleasant distraction. You can pause at any point and pick up where you left off whenever convenient. By the way it can expand your vocabulary and “amaze your friends!! Great game!!

  • What Scrabble Go should have been.

This is an almost perfect version of scrabble. Scrabble Go is a hot mess - almost unusable if you want your mind to stay in the game, this, however is designed to be used and enjoyed. Money well spent. Highly recommended if you are a fan of the classic but don’t want endless adverts and distracting messy interfaces.
