  • Greatest scrabble game

If you’re a fan of scrabble, this is a great app. Has various levels as you would expect, from easy to hard to finally a master level. If you’re really into this, start with the medium or hard. Then, whenever you are ready, go ahead and take on the master. It’s all fun, frustrating, thrilling and head-shaking. Good for the brain most of all.

  • Better Than Scrabble

I’ve downloaded many scrabble type games over the years, including paying $$$ for the real Scrabble. This game is an improvement over all versions. Fast and fun you can create your own dictionary and change board design so it’s always exciting. There are four levels of AI opponents and only brainiacs can beat Master level! Highly recommend!

  • Terrific Scrabble-like app!

Like many iOS Scrabble players, I needed to find a replacement for the excellent and much-lamented EA Scrabble app, which was apparently discontinued because Hasbro decided it could make more money from an app offering a “vibrant, personal, extremely dynamic and truly social experience” (in the words of its developers). I downloaded Scrabble GO and made a real effort to give the new app a fair try, but it is a thoroughly annoying, dumbed-down, bling-ridden, pimped-out, intrusively attention-seeking and money-grubbing atrocity.

WM is a worthy substitute for the fine old EA app, faithfully recreating an authentic Scrabble-like experience and offering a decent challenge on higher levels. Enthusiastically recommended!

  • like the original

Really disappointed when the original game was changed but word master is almost identical to Scrabble. Only quibble it gave you a chance to use 4 cheats which I took advantage of but this version does not allow for that! Really enjoying this version - you won’t be disappointed
  • No Nonsense, a Pleasure to Play

Finally, an implementation of Scrabble that acknowledges that it’s a word game, not another version of candy crush or some other shiny, sparkly ADHD app.

Word Master presents a clean interface that doesn’t interfere with, or try to jazz up, the game. I’ve only played the against-the-computer mode so far, and I’m pleased - this is the closest to the version I liked back in the days of my Palm Treo.

A couple of suggestions for the developer:
    * allow changing of the blank squares on the board. Currently the blank must be dragged back to the tray to reset it.
    * add a landscape mode for iPad players
    * [UPDATE: I must have lucked out in my first four games - I’m now at about 60% win rate, so ‘Master’ is a good challenge!] look into a tougher computer opponent. In the older Hasbro versions of Scrabble, I was about 60-70% victorious over the hardest computer opponent. In Word Master I’m so far 4 for 4.

  • Still waiting for online friend play!!! 5 stars when online play available!!

Great scrabble game for grown ups. Totally hooked and getting smarter by the day.

Well designed, simple, yet with everything you need for great wordplay including all the great plays you missed and definitions!

Best of all: no headache-inducing, over stimulating, time-wasting bells and whistles that plague WWF and Scrabble go This is real scrabble, not pinball!

It gets a five just as soon as I can invite friends to play. The only thing that’s missing, especially in a pandemic, is the ability to play online. Not with strangers, just by inviting via email, like a Upwords. (I’ve researched and There is a HUGE market for this. Just check out wwf and Scrabble go reviews. Plenty folks HATE the gaming experience and want the classic scrabble with friends)

  • Triple the word fun.

When the Scra$$le people decided to “update” their classic game, most of the “improvements “ were not to my liking. This game, however, keeps the classic elements intact. The wrinkles and revisions in this game don’t detract from the fundamentals, while offering a dictionary or two of new and unusual words to potentially put into play. A true treat for true word lovers. The free version is great and the Pro version is well worth the reasonable cost.

  • Great Game

I started playing Scrabble on Scrabble Go but hated it. Ads were far too long and repetitive and all the bells, whistles, and “prizes” far too annoying when you just want to play the game. Read a review that recommended Word Master and I love it! Only improvement I would recommend is an option to freeze the gameboard to full view.

  • Immensely pleased

After downloading other games only to be extremely frustrated by the ads, I was about to give up, then I came across Word Master Pro. I must admit to being skeptical about the ads, however to my delight they were true to their word. As an elderly person this game is mentally stimulating without all the hassles of so many of the other games I have tried.

  • Simple, clean experience

After the Mattel version went commercial I switched to this app. I love it, has great features and none of the annoying bling. Would be even better if you could keep a history of your games to look back on. Recommended.
