Automower Magic

We have had our Automowers for about 4 weeks and we love them. It used to take us around 3 hours to mow our extensive lawns, but they never looked sad good as the do now. Thank you Mudgee Mowers and Chainsaws.

Auto mower continually breaking down.

Seems to be we all have the same issues, when it works it fantastic, however the repetitive problems are extremely frustrating, the dealer who we purchased off doesn’t want to admit the product has faults yet we constantly have to contact them to solve the problems. Was told to turn off the additional functions in order for the mower to work, counterproductive to what we paid for. Expensive product to be continually breaking down.

Boris the Blade

If you’re too busy to tend your lawn and you go through a repetitive cycle of too long too short. This is for you. 100% reliable, cut to your schedule, puts itself away to recharge. Cuts a tiny amount off the top and that cutting feeds back into the lawn for a healthier look and length. I was warned that I’d spend more time watching it and coming up with daft names - both true. Best investment for the garden, by far.

EPOS mower

This app is the most bug plagued app with poor user experience design I’ve used with a commercial product. It’s only surpassed in disappointment by the mower itself that has hardware and software faults still to be fully resolved.
It takes significant pressure for Husqvana to support leaving distributor supporting and under preforming product.
To say I’m disappointed with the overall product is quite an understatement, it has a one star only because I cannot rate lower.

George, my Robotic Mower

George simply refuses to mow a bordering strip of grass between our homes. I just turned him loose again in an area that I have blocked, forcing him to mow in this penned area. He drives over this same area multiple times but won’t cut the grass. This has been a 3 yr problem. My dealer can’t get an answer from your techs either. What’s the solution? DuWayne

Update now crashes

I have a 115h and the app worked for about a year until the newest update. Now it crashes when you try to adjust the coverage zones. Also, the app is not smart enough to disable or grey out features that my mower does not have, and does not explain what some of the settings do (online is also no help).

Overall, the programming for this mower is less capable than a $300 Roomba, which at least can follow the perimeter and give you a straight boundary.

Auto mower

I have a Husqverna 450x auto mower & it’s brilliant, does an excellent job without having to worry about my lawns but the app gives me no end of problems as it keeps disconnected all the time!!!

Who owns the mower?

Having paid such a ‘premium’ price I do expect to be afforded the courtesy of at least being consulted, and given the option, before my mower gets broken by a software update. Working fine one day and then the next thinking it had been turned upside down every time it descended an unchanged slope made it virtually unusable. That is until the next update was forced upon MY mower. Anyone would think I’d bought a Tesla! In the world of business tech doesn’t go down well if the end user isn’t able to update, or not, hardware, firmware and software as and when THEY chose. Consumer goods manufacturers need to decide to do the same before legislation forces them to do so in the same way that cookie choices were forced out of web site providers. Wake up and smell the coffee Husqvarna this is not an acceptable state of play.

Changes in app

I have 4 mowers and the app used to seem intuitive- even with connection drops. Now, I constantly have go through a longer sequence of button pushing to find the same info! It’s like a relative needed a job so they said- “here, mess with this” - it’s that bad in comparison to how it was.
The mowers are ok but service experience is still lagging, I would look for a brand that had more service to offer.
The 1 star is for massive frustration as I have to go help get unstuck again.

App login issues and positioning accuracy improvement

The app works great although for some reason it keeps logging me out about once a week, very annoying.

The rover map positioning needs improvement, my X315 has a GPS and cell signal, you should be able to use those two components to better calculate the rover’s position, using the cell tower as a base antenna, but it seem you’re only using GPS signals.

Alternatives to Automower Connect
