Biggest waste of money ever spent.
This whole Husqvarna Automower system seems like an elaborate hoax.
This over priced crap does not work, EVER. I can not get any support. I’ve called every dealer in the area, no one works on them. Husqvarna will not let you update on your own. The website says there are like 6-8 dealers that do, THEY DON’T! I’ve had dealers tell me that they may stop dealing Husqvarna because the company is not even supportive of them. I had one company tell me that they are discontinuing Husqvarna products one by one and they will probably only carry chainsaws.
PLEASE HUSQVARNA, HELP!!! For a mower system that cost almost $2000 US, you think you could get service! I finally found someone in the next state an hour away that can help but will charge $75 just to look at it. Another one in my area will charge about the same to touch it wether it needs an update or not. I live in St. Louis, it shouldn’t be that hard.
For a mower that is supposed to save you time, it has wasted more time than any other product I’ve ever owned.

Can’t connect to cloud
Unfortunately my 435x AWD can’t connect to cloud. Husqvarna have said they are aware of it and trying to fix the app, although it’s been a month already, and still waiting. Still a quality product, just hoping to get this fixed ASAP.
Two mower owner
The number of settings and directives that can be initiated from the app are quite nice. My only gripe is that you must return to the homepage before accessing a different functionality of the app. It would be nice to be able to access the full functionality of the app regardless of what page you were viewing.
Additionally for someone that has two mowers, it is incredibly clunky to move between the mowers and switch settings between the mowers.

Gets the job done
The app gets the job done but needs more polish. I have three auto mowers, and it takes several taps and digging around to switch between them. It would be much more intuitive to be able to swipe between them. Also to be able to set the clock on the mower from the app would be nice. And finally, when the mowers get stuck, if their wheels don’t stop spinning, the app never notifies me that their stuck. It would be nice if the mower could notify me when it has stopped moving, not just when the wheels have stopped turning. All in all, though, it’s mostly set-and-forget. I think everyone should get these things!

Updates have been a killer
The 4wD mower has had a bunch of issues with both mechanical failures and also updates which have essentially stopped it working for weeks on end.
It was also impossible to roll back updates, and the mower will occasionally perform updates without permission. The faults associated with the updates have been many and varied.
When it’s working it’s good.
The service I received from the dealer has been excellent (Hastings, NZ) and husquvarna have been good about warranty and repairs.

Brilliant or Bust
When it works, it’s really great - love it. Trouble is, like the mower itself, it’s extremely flawed and prone to weekly, if not daily, bugs and outages. It takes a lot of time to keep both the mower and app working as they should.
One error and you’re stuck
I’ve used this app now for a couple of years and it’s half baked at best. If you get one error on your automower (which you will) there are no known ways to mankind of how to get out of this error state in the iOS app. You can try turning the mower on and off, disconnect and reconnect, log in and our of your husqvarna connect account but nothing will help. You just gonna have to sit back and wait for something magical to happen in an unknown timespan that will magically let you control your automower again from your app. My automower is litterally mowing my lawn right now but according to the app the mower is in”error collision problem front” mode 🤷♂️

Disconnect
Latest app update (or latest servicing done a few weeks ago with software updates by authorized vendor) results in a Disconnect once a day, sometimes two times. Mower can be picked up just like that. No alarm, nothing. Also no notification through app. And app doesn’t show mower at its real physical place.
I have the mower for three years and this Disconnect has never once happened before. Lost signal yes. But never disconnect.

430XH awesome but app could be better
The first thing I noticed about the app is the lack of units. Setting the cutting height to 3. Ok is it 3 in, or 3 cm? It makes a huge difference. It’s the same when setting how close the mower follows the wires. It just has a range of numbers but no units! There are other issues with the scheduling. I have no idea what area it is going to mow next. I have my lawn set up to 4-zones with different area amount to cut. Their is no way to tell it the size of each zone, so the mower runs until the battery is due for a charge. Seems like a waste of battery time. In the end, the lawn looks good though. UPDATE version 3.7.7 now constantly logs me out. Still no units on any settings that contain a measurement.
UPDATE 2: the app no longer logs me out. Many thanks for that. I wish there was an option to give the Areas a name such as Front Yard, Front North Side, Back Yard, etc. Doing so will make it easier to turn off mowing for that particular area. Still no Units on any measurements.

The app is not as friendly to use as previously used to be
Since last year update of the app, the app became unfriendly to use especially when you have 2 mowers and to switch between them is real pain to get the intended one though each is had different name to be recognised.
Certain functionality on the app are not working as used to be. Sending command to the mower via the app is not working properly, certainly the mower is working, WiFi or through 4G is the same problem.
