Play ad after ad after ad…. Close app in frustration. The stupid pop up videos on the home page will continuously start playing while listening to a podcast even when you don’t have the app up on your phone. The podcast order also flows in reverse order so after each hour, you need to manually go in to play the next hour. Both of these issues are safety concerns for people listening while driving. The app crashes frequently, and it’s annoying to even navigate to the podcasts in general. I’ve emailed staff multiple times with zero response. ### 5/5 — How convenient this app is. *2026-08-04, version 8.1* The main and only use I have for this app is the ability to listen in when I’m away from my car. I do enjoy the YouTube clips but I prefer this app. ### 1/5 — Way too many ads *2026-07-25, version 8.1* It’s so frustrating using this app when I have to sit through 3 ads before I can listen to anything. Then if you close the app or lose a connection, it restarts the ads. That’s not even counting the ads you have to listen too since it’s live radio (which is separate btw) ### 1/5 — So Bad *2026-07-20, version 7.7* Love 98.5 but it’s crazy how many ads they shove down your throat with this awful app. Pause the audio or make the mistake of watching a video on twitter for half a second and you’re hit with some 30 second unskippale ad that you’ve heard 500,000 times before.
