Very impressed

Last mowing season I was interested in LawnGuru but decided to just stay with a local guy. This season they’ve really improved the marketing emails, app looks better, and in general everything just feels simpler and cleaner. So I decided to try it out, and am very pleased! Received a quote without anyone ever going to my house. I had questions about one-time versus recurring mowing and was able to live chat with support immediately (with an emailed chat transcript after.) Got a notification that my mower was on his way to my house and I was able to chat with him too - immediately! I could see his GPS location in relation to my house, he sent a picture right after the job was done, payment is super easy, price is very reasonable for the convenience offered.

Basically great job LawnGuru, you’ve earned another loyal customer. Thanks!

I WISH I KNEW ABOUT THIS APP SOONER!

I’ve used these guys all winter for snow shoveling my residence and they’ve been fantastic! If it wasn’t for a friend to tell me they did snow removal, I’d never guess it with the name LAWNGURU. Customer service is one-of-a-kind amazing; better than I’ve ever dealt with in my 50+ years. Immediate response for any questions, by text & email; resolving any issues that might come up and if their contractors ever go below a 4 out of 5 star rating, they give them the boot! I’m so incredibly grateful that my friend recommended this app to me. I just got 5 vetted quotes for aeration and seeding of my lawn. I picked who I wanted for the job. They have many other services they offer too, so I am sure I will be going back in the app again for hedge trimming, gutter cleaning, etc...

READ THIS

After 10 years in the business, and several years spent as a head golf course landscaper I turned to Lawn Guru to rebuild my business after relocating to Houston. It helps me avoid the growing pains and simplified my business allowing me to spend more time working and mowing than in the office answering emails and sending out invoices.

While I can’t speak for every contractor and customer experience, there are thousands of contractors. I’m one of those contractors that goes out of my way to make each and every customer happy.

If any negative reviewers are in the Southwest Houston, Katy, Missouri City, Pearland, or anywhere SW of Houston, I highly urge you to call lawn guru and give them another shot and ask for Michael Hammons as your contractor. If you do that, I personally guarantee you won’t ever use another lawn service.

With that said I can’t say enough great things about Lawn Guru. I wish all contractors were the same, but if you had a bad experience, please request for me to come visit. I promise after that you will love Lawn Guru.

Also a big shout out to Luke in the support department you guys are awesome and I look forward to growing with you guys!

Awful

Submitted a request for quote on a Friday and had to wait for Monday to get a response. At the time, it was stated that I would have a quote in 1 hour. We were trying to figure if we should get someone out or just do the work ourselves. Our response to my inquiry about the delay was “we should have said within business hours; 9-5”. I didn’t think of this timeframe as it is an Internet based app. I decided to accept a quote, but the link required me to create an account, which I already created. The process sat when I tried to bypass the create an account form. The app does not show any of the quotes, so I could not proceed that way either. I emailed the company and was told what I already knew and explained to them. I was told to submit a new request. Forget it, I’ll check other app services or local options. This app/Service is very detached and ineffective.

There In A Time Of Need

A few months ago I had just moved into a new house. I was new to the area, and didn’t have time to call around to local businesses to try to set up service. I heard about LawnGuru, and let me tell you- there’s no monetary value you can place on piece of mind. Every cut was done on time, looked great, and was very low stress during the process. I love the fact that they send you an actual picture of the completed job once it’s done. Once I was all settled in, and bought a mower for myself, LawnGuru was very understanding, AND thanked me for my business. I can honestly say there are not many companies out there with the integrity this business has, and I would absolutely recommend it to any one of my closest friends or family members.

Just find someone local yourself

I have used this service 5 times over the course of the past year. The first two services were great, guy came out, lawn was done, no problems. After that it went downhill, guy accepted the job and said he would be here the next day. After 3-4 days of him not showing up, customer support removed him from the job and had someone else come out. Ok, provider was bad, customer support resolved the issue. Next provider was late, but eventually came out.

The most recent issue was the final straw. My wife unlocked our back gate before the guy came out. Guy doesn’t go in the backyard and claims it’s locked. He never attempted to gain access by asking my wife, who was home at the time. Instead he marked the job complete and customer no-service says the gate was locked and offered nothing more. No refund for the job that was half done, no return visit to finish what was supposed to have been done, nothing. What really happened is that it started to rain when he finished the front.

I’m through with this company and will find my own local company to work with and I suggest you do the same to save a headache. As you read through the reviews, note that most of the 5-stars come from providers and most negatives from customers.

We worked really hard on this problem, we call squatting, where poor providers pick up jobs and prevent the job from going to someone who will service it immediately. We’ve implemented a LOT of changes around this to mitigate the tardiness from ever repeating for any LawnGuru customer. I can assure you, our fulfillment today is better than ever and a world apart from your experience. It may seem ironic, but the application was designed to facilitate communication so instances like your gate don’t arise! We don’t have our pros knock on doors, which most customers and providers prefer, and we use texts or in-app chat/call to hammer out details. Looking back on this ticket, it seems the Provider was rained out when returning. As much as we try, we can’t control the weather… YET! But other than these limitations, our amazing customer support team guns at a 90%+ satisfaction rate! Unfortunately, this doesn’t translate into a firehose of good customer reviews! We think you’ll see a transformational experience shine through as more and more roll in. Provider reviews may seem over represented but we help thousands of pros grow their businesses. We think they share their experiences at a higher rate because the relative value of LawnGuru to their business is much higher than that of our services to any single customer. While we serve 20k+ customers, we don’t pay their mortgages! We hope to welcome you back, and have sprinkled credits in your account that won’t expire. Great for us

My roommate and I love this app. We rent and the landlord has a lawn service that comes every week, even when we don’t need it. Every Wednesday, at some point during the day, someone would come mow our lawn and we would have to leave the dog inside all day, and deal with the noise, evening/afternoon yard plans, etc. When my sister in law told us about this app we asked our landlord if we could try it. Now we plan the mowing when we need it, which is less than weekly, and we can even pua e it done right before a weekend barbecue which we couldn’t arrange before. It’s great for us!

GREAT SNOW REMOVAL SERVICE!!!!

This is THE best idea ever!!! You MUST try lawnguru for snow removal!! I use this service for my lawn and could not be more pleased but having this app for snow removal has been a lifesaver thus far this winter. Folks, this app is user friendly so don't hesitate! I'm technologically impaired and even I can do it!!! If you do have difficulty and I did only once, the very capable techies at lawnguru will kindly guide you through the process. No more waiting for a plow that never comes. Now when I know snow is on the way I merely enter the app, map out my drive and walkway, push a button and am notified when my service provider is on their way. When the job is complete, a photo is taken and sent to me for approval. I now wake up to a driveway already cleared or arrive home from work to the same. Why didn't I think of this??!! Thank you lawnguru!!!
