App flawed

The biometric login does not work, the user section does not work either, so you can’t assign arming Un arming devices. Will it be another year before this is rectified. Alarm doesn’t always arm when you ask it to do so, and can have a delay on when it arms etc. There can be a delay when you open a window and when it show up on the app. Alarm one minute can be connected to the internet and next minute disconnects itself. For a year now I have had 2 system troubles and 2 alarms that won’t go away. Both fire sensor related. My panel is connected to the Visonic server. Can’t speak to anyone to get rid of the problem.

Update

Been now told that biometric only works with the new server version. Funny I am on Visonics own server.
Been an update today on the app and you still can’t edit the users. So what were the bug fixes.

Hello, biometric authentication works in the latest server version. This feature does not work in older versions of the server. Please contact your service provider. Update Hello, biometric works only if 1. PowerManage server version is 4.4.25 or higher. 2. The smartphone supports biometric feature.

Updated app

Great to see you have updated the app. However, the Face ID feature doesn’t work and it’s no longer possible to put names against the key fobs registered to the system. The ones that were there have disappeared!!

I have received a reply saying Biometric authentication doesn’t work on older versions of the server. What on earth does this mean? Also no answer to my issue about about why I can no longer rename key fob users!

Major security Bug in Version 2.18.0

Dear Visonic Team,
your latest iOS APP "VISONIC-GO" vers. 2.18.0 (released 27. April 2020) has a major security issue:

A) in the new APP the home owner can not stop the Installer Access via NO/YES button anymore. Now the home owner can only say CANEL or YES. But not STOP to the existing installer access. This means if installer access is granted ones it can NOT be stopped as before in your previous verson 2.8.3 .. and this means that the installer access is granted for days or even weeks without control of the home owner ???????!!!!!!
THIS IS A NO GO and a major BUG !!!!!! Please fix this bug ASAP !!!!

B) Touch ID (Biomentric function) does not work. If enabled once, it will never ask for Touch ID again to open the APP. I’ve tried this many times. ==> BUG

C) User Management - is not working correct:
I have for example 10 Users set up already in the old Visonic-GO app (vers. 2.8.3.) with real names for User 1, User 2, User 3 ……

in the new verison I can only see "User 1, or User 2, User 3..." in the Menue of "Latest Activity" . there is also no more additional info to the custom names connected to all existing Keyfob ... only "User 1" , "User 2" but not "User 1 - Joseph", "User 2 - Paul" .....

please get this fixed . A new APP version should be secure plus have the same basic functions like on the older APP !!!

What steps are planned to solve these things? When are planning to fix this issue???

Hello, thank you for your feedback A) Access to the installer lasts 1 hour. And it terminates automatically after 1 hour. B) Biometric authentication works on the latest server version. This feature does not work on older versions of the server. C) This bug that related to user name will be fixed in future versions.

Brilliant app

Have the Visonic at my house, daughters house, son in laws business. We all think it’s brilliant, get pictures of any intruder in the garden, notification of when armed and disarmed. Event history provides all information. Can only think poor reviewers not understood how to set it up, shoul see the vid.

Great App, works perfectly!

As an installer for Visonic, this app works perfectly and is straight forward to use as well as being user friendly. Most of the negative reviews for this app are false! Just remember to turn on Notifications from the app (Menu, Panel, Notifcations, Enable Alarms). Also allow the app to send you notifications from your mobile handset! We have been using this for years without any negative feedback.
Once its setup correctly, there are no issues!

Poor App for £100s addon panel

Poor quality neglected App with a rather archaic looking interface.

Considering the add-on panel required to work
with this app costs hundred plus pounds it’s shocking than that such a poor software app is provided to use it.

Has bugs such as you have to re-enter the Host name each time you start up the app which can be a long cumbersome dns name. Pop up notifications don’t display all of the info without having to go into the App e.g can’t tell from notification is telling Alarm has been armed or disarmed without opening it.

Also no way to get support from developer. Support link takes you to Visonic main website and if you try to contact them for support regarding the app they simply pass the buck tell you to go to your installer.

Superb bit of kit!

This allows the Visonic alarm to connect to the internet for remote access, (set, unset, log report, bypass zone etc...) but more importantly it sounds when the alarm goes off or if there’s a panic or emergency! If you are not receiving notifications then it need to be activated in the app setting and also in the panel under Installer mode-communicators-cs reporting-option 2 set to Broadband and not PSTN. or call Entrytech Security Installer LTD

Fundamentally flawed

The app works... Sometimes.... Slowly... Or then not.

There are fundamental flaws in this app , the most significant being that it randomly forgets your push notification settings so you will stop receiving push messages and More fundamental than that is the fact the system will not notify you if your internet connection is lost, so if someone cuts your phone line or fibre and you don't also have the gprs/sms module then you will not receive any notifications of a break in!

It's my second Visonic system, but it will also be my last.

Brilliant remote control device

IF set up correctly by an installer all functions work great. People complaining it doesn’t clear past alarmed activations, that’s because your panel is set up incorrectly. People complaining events not recorded on their app is because the panel has not been set up correctly.

Once it has been set up correctly it works perfect. People so eager and keen to moan and complain before finding a resolution.

Great app, does what you want it to do and more!
