Ridiculous to set up
Very disappointed. This is not user friendly and doesn’t connect to wifi easily.Lainie78
Automatic cleaning is not automatic
We are unable to get guidance with setting up automatic cleaning. It’s not working for us but we only get referred to videos which are basic setup (not troubleshooting) and, when emailed for assistance, we received the standard steps to set up. It’s not an inexpensive device to not get detailed guidance or assistance.
Other than that, PETKIT seems to work; a bit too soon to tell as we have had it for less than a week.Show lessJaspersGrandma
Really good automatic litter
I have been using Pura Max for 6 months and I must say I love the non scooping everyday deal! What I love most with this is that it’s very quiet during cycle and it has never failed on cycling and cleaning everytime my cats use it. A couple of things I don’t like is: 1) the overall footprint and entry is small especially for larger cats. My larger cat would not or could not spin inside so he sometimes miss the box; 2) urine seeps over the base and under the globe which causes the box to smell. Therefore regular deep cleaning will be necessary. I do enjoy owning the box and will not want just a regular litter box anymore!Show lessDummyMiamor
Convenient, Sleek
The app makes life easier. Especially when you’re using the electronic litterbox for the first time. It lets you know when litter is running low and the waste compartment is full. This is based on weight and sensors, so usually it may be a little earlier than when you may actually want to refill litter or change trashbag. But pretty easy to determine how many days works for your fur family. If you have multiple pets, the Puramax identifies which pet by weight so you can see who is using it - very helpful in the beginning of using a new electronic litterbox vs standard litterbox. There are so many smart settings you can control and adjust to your liking.
I really like how the app has the ability to add different devices- litterbox, feeder, water fountain. So you only need one app to control and check on functioning of it all. I like the extras - feeding amount guide based on weight and food type of your pet, pet walking goals, overall dashboard or “daily life” of your pet. The app is very easy to use. Sleek and I like the design of it where it shows a picture of your device highlighting features and the detailed history.Show lessaristar84
Amazing cat litter
Now people here say they have some issues with some of the products, but when it comes to the Pura Max cat litter, it is such a life changer. I have a lot of cats that are very picky and only use one litter even if I would give them 20. This solves any possible issue.
The App could be fixed, and be better. That I won’t lie. I had a hard time finding the right settings to set up the cat litter settings. But after snooping around, I figured it out.
Otherwise I do recommend the product, it works and does what it says. My cats seem to love the always clean litter too!Show lessLilithvix
Bug
The app is a necessary tool to set up the auto cat litter and auto feeder. Though I love the design of the physical products, the app has always been a bit janky to use as it’s not localized very well.
What triggered me to write this review, however, is the new update I just got — It introduced a bug that made it impossible for me to set up the feeder schedule. I have a tiny kitten so every meal needs to be the smallest portion (5g). But if I select 5g with the slider and confirm, it will show up as 9g instead. After a few tries it becomes obvious that it’s not a temporary flare, instead the app adds 4g on top of every number I choose. It feels like such an obvious bug that should have been caught by the QA before releasing this update. I really hope the team fix this issue asap and really pay more attention to the user experience going forward — After all it’s easy for any one to turn to a competitor after a frustrating experience.Show lessplugfbn
Great app
The app is great! For the most part is does everything I’d want it to do. I also like the notifications. I do wish it had a few more features - for example, sometimes the litter box inaccurately thinks there is one of our cats in the box mid-cleaning and stops during the cleaning cycle. The only way to fix this is unplugging it from the wall and plugging it back in. Some kind of reset button from the app would be helpful if we are away.Show lessBulletPrfPanda
App is ok
It’s clear the app text was initially in another language because there are some odd typos. That aside, it works well enough. I have the max self cleaning litterbox and I am happy with it so far. My cat started using the box immediately and I like being notified when she has gone in and for how long. She goes in about 12 times a day because she’s curious, I’m sure that will reduce.Show lessehiamour

Such an easy machine to use and so helpful. Allowing me to feed when away and monitor excess food and general consumption.

Pretty Good
I use this only with the pura max litter box. Overall the app is pretty simple and looks nice. The language translation to English leaves a bit to be desired… I also don’t care for the interface of how it logs your pet’s usage. It’s just a little confusing and I don’t like how if your pet’s weight is off only a little it thinks it’s a different pet entirely? It literally has my cat at a different weight basically every time he uses it. You should be able to log your pets and if you only have one it is clearly that pet or maybe have a weight range to make up for the weight just being off some times.Show lessAnnasbananaas
