### 1/5 — Doesn't save WO

*2021-07-31, version 2.3.8*

Just spins after ending session. Tried everything to fix it.. just over this app don't bother...

### 1/5 — Terrible App

*2021-07-15, version 2.3.8*

I have used this a couple times and the app fails to record workout. What a waste, should be removed from App Store.

### 1/5 — Does not connect

*2021-04-29, version 2.3.8*

How can you allow for this?

### 1/5 — App doesn’t work btw

*2021-03-01, version 2.3.8*

Doesn’t work

### 1/5 — Awful support

*2021-02-08, version 2.3.8*

This app gets worse and worse. Couldn't pair my Pulse monitor for months. Finally was able to about 9 months ago. Now with this latest update, my iPad can see the monitor in Bluetooth settings, but the app can't recognize it. On my iPhone, it works. But not with iPadOS as of about a week ago. Tech support has been no help. But there is obviously something wrong when the app works on iOS and not iPadOS, even though both devices can recognize the monitor under BT settings. No, tech support, deleting and reinstalling doesn't work any more than it did the last 10 times.

### 1/5 — Hasn’t worked since the update last week

*2021-02-06, version 2.3.8*

I’ve been trying to use the app since last April. It would only save my workouts about 50% of the time. Since the new update it hasn’t saved a single workout

### 1/5 — Frustrating

*2021-01-22, version 2.3.3*

So much difficulty with this connecting.
Have logged out, back I , deleted app, reinstalled, changed the battery, still will not connect . No point in having this if it cannot help you to keep track of grattate and workouts . Please consider upgrading this app

### 1/5 — Does not save workouts!!!!

*2020-09-30, version 2.3.3*

When I workout it does ok I don’t believe the HR is accurate however when I’m done it will not stop tracking and record workout it just keep loading and I have to close the app and my workout progress is gone and not tracked this is the worst part of this app!!!! Fix it please!!!!

### 2/5 — Won’t store workout in History

*2020-07-22, version 2.3.3*

I use IOS. The App shows my at home workout on its Dashboard, but won’t store it in History. I’m very frustrated by this. I have done everything that tech support has suggested, but nothing has worked. ( it does work fine and record my History for all my in the gym workouts, just really need it to work for home workouts )too.

### 1/5 — Horrible- I want a refund

*2020-07-15, version 2.3.3*

The app is a pain
I cant rely on it

Login failed all the time even with saved passwords

I wasted 80 dollars on a monitor that foes with this app.

This is horrible

Fix it or send me a refund.

The old system for 9 rounds was much better.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t track history

*2020-07-12, version 2.3.3*

So I guess this app is only good for out of studio workouts. None of my in studio workouts show up in my history. Pretty useless app, I want to be able to track my progress while going to 9 round not what I do when I’m not at 9 round. Hope this improves but based on the review history don’t think they are putting anymore money into this app.

### 2/5 — Cannot login

*2020-06-24, version 2.3.3*

I cannot get the app to log me in or reset my password. It’s been very frustrating

### 2/5 — Disconnects when you navigate away

*2020-06-06, version 2.3.3*

It connects better than before but you navigate away from the app (a phone call comes in) before ending the workout then it disconnects the Bluetooth and you lose your workout data.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2020-05-25, version 2.3.3*

APP DOESNT OPEN

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2020-05-17, version 2.3.3*

Don’t even bother...use other more reliable and consistent apps. This one is useless!

### 1/5 — Will not record workouts

*2020-05-01, version 2.3.3*

The app was great when it worked but now its only use is for real-time HR monitoring. At the end of the workout it just spins and hangs and doesn’t record the work. Disappointing

### 2/5 — Not Saving Workouts

*2020-04-18, version 2.3.2*

After pairing quickly in my first trial with my PULSE HR monitor the second time I used it, I had to close the app, open the app, delete my paired monitor and then repair it to get it to work. Thankfully it has subsequently worked each time. Now, it only saves my data every once in a while. After ending a workout, the button spins and spins and spins some more. I’ve used it for 3 workouts, it has only managed to save 1/3. Slightly disappointing! Thankfully, I also track my workouts with other apps so I have some days. I do like how the one workout it did save connected to the member portal and sent me my workout summary. Not a terrible app, but could use a little more work.

### 1/5 — The worst

*2020-04-18, version 2.3.2*

My HRM works minimally at best in the gym. It would have been nice to use at home since in quarantine to follow/track calories etc. changed the battery and I can’t even get the app to recognize the monitor. There is absolutely zero help anywhere to address this. It’s really terrible because the gym/workout is great. Seems the technology would be the easier part.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Doesn't Stop Spinning

*2024-10-30, version 2.3.9*

I got this app to track my calories burned. I bought a brand new heart rate monitor (which wasn't cheap), and started using it for my workouts. After a few workouts, the band stopped registering to the app when I clicked end workout. I still have three bars of battery in the monitor, and still am connected through bluetooth. But for some reason, it will not stop spinning when I click end session. Too bad for the price.

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2024-08-23, version 2.3.9*

Terrible app and terrible monitor. I have been wearing a heart rate monitor for 10 years during all my workouts. I have used “my zone”, which was the first monitor that 9 round offered and it was awesome. I still have it and still use it regularly. I have worn Fitbit, Apple and Polar. The Pulse heart rate monitor offered by 9 round currently is by far the most inaccurate. It does not track workouts in the app at all. 9 round needs to offer a monitor that is tried and true. Bring back My Zone or make Pulse better!!!

### 1/5 — Not stable

*2024-02-06, version 2.3.9*

It does not pair easily with heart monitor, I have to re-pair with Bluetooth several times before it pairs with app, then app will lose pairing. While I’m working out I’ll see my calories burned and pulse point but then when I receive the final workout summary the number don’t match. The app needs to be updated

### 1/5 — Whyyyy???

*2022-12-21, version 2.3.9*

Why doesn’t it allow me to add my personal information! Without this step I can’t use the pulse device, according to a pop up note.

### 1/5 — Not syncing workouts

*2022-09-23, version 2.3.9*

I have my 2nd of 4 workouts that show up in the app. None of the others show up. Seems like a common issue and yet the dev team hasn’t updated the app in a year. Disappointing. They need to honor the paying members of the 9Round franchise if they’re going to tout this app as a benefit of membership.

### 1/5 — Won’t connect

*2022-07-11, version 2.3.9*

Still can’t get the pulse monitor to connect to the app. I’ve downloaded and reinstalled several times

### 1/5 — Stop keeping records after a month

*2022-07-11, version 2.3.9*

No easy way to get tech support. Just registered workouts data for a while. Not worth the investment.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t Work No Support

*2022-05-24, version 2.3.9*

Won’t connect. Has never worked. Is there another 9round app that does work to the monitor. And the computer at the gym quit working, too.

### 1/5 — This app needs some work!

*2021-12-31, version 2.3.9*

I leave my phone in my car to avoid distractions when I workout. The last several workouts, my pulse device will connect but will not track my workout on the app due to connectivity issues I’m guessing? Please look into this!

### 1/5 — Garbage

*2021-09-24, version 2.3.9*

This app NEVER saves workout so who cares about pulse points. Garbage!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Cool place

*2023-10-09, version 2.3.9*

That is a cool place to work out but only the owners know how to do it. 🩷 like cool but the reviewers don’t know how

### 4/5 — Need Maximum Heart Rate

*2020-01-19, version 2.3.1*

When I go to the 9Round gym which is fantastic, I am sent an email summary of my workout which includes Maximum Heart Rate reached. The Pulse app is great for work outs, not at the 9Round gym but I would like to see it show Maximum Heart Rate reached.

### 4/5 — Music stops when open

*2019-11-28, version 2.3.0*

When I view the app, my music stops. It never used to do this. Please have this looked at. Otherwise this is a great tool and I’ve used this for a long time. Thank you.

### 4/5 — It works

*2019-11-09, version 2.2.0*

I’m happy with the app so far. I am able to see my results of the workout and compare each workout. I would recommend that the app link with the Apple health app or the activity app.

### 4/5 — Not fancy but works fine

*2019-07-18, version 2.2.0*

Mostly writing this just to counter the other written review. I haven’t used the app much, but you absolutely CAN pair your heart rate monitor with this app. The app doesn’t tell you this, but you have to be wearing your heart rate monitor when you try to pair it.

The app itself isn’t too fancy, but it does the job — it lets you use your HR monitor outside the gym to track your personal workouts. I’m not wowed enough to give it 5 stars, but I’m happy enough with it to give it 4.

### 4/5 — Good App

*2018-02-21, version 2.0.0*

It would have been nice if the app somehow incorporated access to the 9 round member portal.

### 3/5 — ⭐️⭐️⭐️

*2021-11-06, version 2.3.9*

Wish it worked on Apple Watch

### 3/5 — Quirky

*2019-12-04, version 2.3.0*

Had to change my password to log in. Has some issues recognizing the device. Was wearing device and it worked fine. Did a quick 5 min shadow boxing workout and it tracked great. Then restarted app to see my cool down pulse and it had disconnected from device. Took me 5 minutes of removing and reattaching device to get it to find it again. Only worked after deleting device and reinstalling device on app. Please fix, think it would be great to use outside of gym for other fitness.

### 3/5 — No Health connection

*2019-09-25, version 2.2.0*

App works, pairing is fine (just have the HRM turned on and wear it), but there’s no connection to the Health App, so you have to use a 3rd party app to track your workout if you want Move or Exercise points. Endomondo works well for that, but you have to start both apps...

### 3/5 — iPhone system update and app crashes..

*2019-04-09, version 2.1.1*

I ready enjoyed this app so for its only been 1.5 months. However, recently after my iPhone updated its version the app won’t open. How am I supposed to do other workouts outside of 9round? Fix this quick please!!!!
