They done have their own sign in so you have to use 3rd party like Facebook & google. It may be time for another new CEO. It wouldn’t even let me create an account just throws an error message that an account can’t be created. When I search by zip code it returns no results for restaurants. Theres so many things you could do to make this app better but the real problem is it’s really not that far from the ground to begin with and they’re super behind considering how competitive the restaurant industry is. ### 1/5 — App *2025-08-14, version 1.2* App is not working! ### 1/5 — Why? *2025-07-05, version 1.2* I LOVE A&W…but I do not love this app. Its only purpose seems to be to allow orders at participating restaurants. I was hoping for incentives and discounts but there are NONE in this app. I tried using a discount received via email, but the location I went to said they are not a corporate store so they do not participate in promotions. I don’t see any incentive to use this app possibly to facilitate a pick up order and that’s it there’s no incentives there’s no freebies there’s no special days birthdays, I might have to just delete this app and wait for the order in person. Was asking for location I entered and still nothing I just wanted to check out the menu but it wouldn’t let me. So I deleted the account right away. I put the address in of the actual restaurant and it still told me there are no restaurants near that address. Complete waste of my time. I entered the relevant US state (oddly, nothing about Canada) and only one location displayed. There are several locations in the state. That’s not good. ### 3/5 — No online ordering *2025-10-22, version 1.2* The only A&W in my area does not take online orders. They have QR codes in the restaurant saying to order online. Not that big of a deal for me. Just wish they had a rewards program. ### 3/5 — Ehh *2024-05-09, version 1.2* I never knew there was a a&w in Pennsylvania and the app doesn’t have the location. But this app still needs some improvements. That being said…this app seems to at least work 100%. Which in comparison to the other app, is like struck gold. ### 2/5 — Can only order a combo *2025-08-06, version 1.2* Tried to order a single hamburger & RB float. Couldn’t get the price of just the burger to reflect the amount shown on the app. No matter what we tried it was (2x) for a single patty burger (quantity of 1) Have to drive to (or call) the restaurant to order if you don’t want a combo. Bummer ### 2/5 — needs updating *2025-03-31, version 1.2* The app has the potential to be good, but it falls behind by simply being a proxy for the A&W website, visibly loading URLs instead of handling links natively in the app. I think the company would also benefit from a points rewards system like other fast food companies have implemented. These have me coming back for repeated purchases, and A&W should try a complete rehaul of their iphone app to push into the future. ### 2/5 — App issues *2024-07-22, version 1.2* App does not go to location. And doesn’t allow customization of sandwiches.
