A Better Montrose is a multi-platform solution for providing City of Montrose residents, businesses, and visitors access to a set of local government-provided services, 24-hours a day, 7 days a week. This smartphone app may be used to submit issues and make suggestions on how we can work together to make our community even better, or in other words, "A Better Montrose". A short description and a picture of an issue can be included in order to provide details. The app will automatically know the issue location and will ensure that the issue is sent to the appropriate department at the City. The submitter will be able to track the request all the way through its resolution right from the phone. Have and idea for a public improvement that will improve the quality of life in the City of Montrose? With this app you will be able to submit those ideas for consideration. If your idea is approved and it's possible to implement quickly we may be able to act on it right away. If your idea is for a larger project, it may need to work its way through our capital improvement process and possibly budgeting. Thank you for what you guys do! ### 5/5 — Great way to make Montrose better! *2016-06-03, version 3.8* IV used this app quite a bit since I installed it. I love the reporting/ticketing system and communication between the citizen and the public works guys! 1.If I can make a couple suggestions to make it even better, I would add a push notification option where events can be pushed down to our phones so the city can better convey events to the community. 2. Lost animal portion, since the city of Montrose has a ordinance banning citizen signage from public light and traffic poles. This app should also integrate a map based lost animal option where citizens with lost animals can post their lost animal and pin point the last seen location of the animal and others can collaborate by posting locations where they saw the animal. It could be a simple and very similar solution to the "request" portion of the app. It really is a great app!
