Every few years I come back to it, and it never gets old, even a decade after its launch. This game has withstood the test of time, and remains enjoyable even though there are so many other titles on the market nowadays. ### 5/5 — Great game *2025-11-17, version 1.2.3* I am legally blind. This game is perfect for me. It’s one of the best games I’ve ever played in my life. I am so glad you made this. The sound design is great, the voice acting is great, and the text to speech is a key feature of the game as it helps you navigate the game without having to see a darn thing! I mean it's better than no voice at all, which is crucial for blind gamers, like myself. ### 1/5 — “ if you are Blind, get help”!!! *2025-07-21, version 1.2.3* As a totally blind person who is independent, has a degree in computer science, a professional background and software design, I find this statement to be very insulting! This is supposed to be an audio game that means that every piece of it should be usable by a blind person using voiceover. Who do you assume is available for a person to get “Help“ from? Do you assume that “blind“ people have a babysitter? This game is supposed to be independently played by everyone sided or no. I understand. The limitations Apple has put on the direct touch setting, but it can be turned on and off with the rotor. Living alone and independent I give this one star! ### 1/5 — Horrible *2025-06-17, version 1.2.3* Parts of the game are really good but what makes this game horrible is scene 25 because you literally have less than 10 seconds to outrun the soldiers and I already tried everything to do that but nothing works ### 1/5 — Terrible at Giving Directions, Violence, and More Problems *2025-01-07, version 1.2.3* There is no way that this blind knight can go anywhere with his daughter. She does not give specific instructions as to how the knight should travel. Also, this game is way too violent; the violence occurs from the very beginning in Scene 1, when the king takes the mother and holds her hostage. And I just thought today that I wanted to make a review on it since it is an awesome game! Personally, audio games for me are really, really hard to find. Being a fully blind person has its disadvantages. One of which, is gaming. While I love to game, it’s really hard to find a game that I can actually play. this was the first game that I ever found and though I have a lot more, this is still probably the best game. I’ve played so far! Thank you so much for making this game for us, I wouldn’t have been able to find other games without having this game first. In fact, I don’t think I would even have been this interested in gaming if I didn’t have this game. So, thank you, for making such a masterpiece for blind people to play! ### 2/5 — As A Blind User... *2024-03-11, version 1.2.3* This was one of, if not the first, audio-game I ever played, and couldn't get very far at all. I have since deleted it and looked for better offerings; there are a lot of great audio-games out there: the first Blind Quest game, Nicolas Eymerich: The Inquisitor Audiogame Adventure, and AudioWizards. I agree with other reviewers who have mentioned the profanity used in this game; it really caught me off-guard when Edward dropped the F-bomb, and in front of his daughter on top of that. I also wasn't expecting Edward, who we're supposed to be rooting for, to slap Louise for running off to help the injured horse. And what does he scream at her after slapping her? "Never disobey me again!" My gosh, Edward is acting like a jerk...Not the type of behavior I'd expect from a knight. And what does Louise say after the horse race? "I'm sorry, Father...I was careless." No, Louise; you were just trying to do what was best for the horse: you saw that it was injured and you went to help it. If anyone should be apologizing, it should be your father. After that, Edward treats her just fine. I'm sorry, but being blind is no excuse for such treatment of a literal child, who has guided you to the village and is going to guide you to wherever you need to go. I understand that this is supposed to be a game set in medieval times, but come on! What did that cutscene add to the game? A thrilling horse race against the enemy, yes...but it also proved that Edward is a huge jerk who will sink so low as to slap his young daughter for doing ONE THING and then turn around and act all calm and collected, as if nothing happened. That is abusive behavior, and again, being blind is no excuse. I understand that it's an urgent mission to save Edward's wife, but come on! You couldn't just take a minute to explain anything to Louise? Blind people are not jerks; I have met some who are, but not ALL blind people are jerks. Also, the text-to-speech narrator could have easily been replaced by a human voice actor, and also the loading screens could have been taken out. Here's how I would have written the cutscene. Louise: The Horse is injured, Father! We have to help it! Edward: No, Louise! We cannot stop; we are on an important mission. Who knows what will happen if we stop to help this horse? Louise: (Talking to the horse): There...there. It is all right. Come here and let me help you. Everything is going to be fine. Edward: Louise? Where are you? (After finding Louise): Louise! There you are! What a relief that I have found you! I need you to stay close to me, because I do not know where I am going; I am relying on you to guide me. Louise: I am sorry, Father. Edward: I am not angry with you, Louise. You did nothing wrong; you were only trying to help the injured horse. However, you must try to understand the urgency of the situation that we are in; we cannot stop to help the horse. We need to get to where your mother is as quickly as possible, and I am depending on you to help me get there. Louise: I understand, Father. Oh, no! Father, I can see the soldiers coming this way! Quickly, Father! We need to ride the horse through these trees! I just rewrote that entire cutscene; no slapping and no screaming, and no portraying Edward as a jerk.
