## What is A?

Cast online videos from your iOS device to the new 2015 Apple TV! Use your TV to watch videos that are embedded in webpages. 

Install A-Cast Player app in your Apple TV and install this A-Cast app in your iOS device. After you connect the devices to the same Wi-Fi network, launch both apps and add the TV to your iOS device in this app.

NOTE: Please keep the A-Cast Player open in Apple TV when using this A-Cast app.

Browse the web for videos in this app and cast them to the A-Cast Player in Apple TV. It's that easy! 

After casting the video to the TV app, it will play the video on the TV independent of this iOS app in the mobile device. This is not a screen-mirroring app so you don't need the phone or tablet after casting the video. The video is directly streamed to the TV from the website.

If you see A-Cast Player load the video but not play, please try casting the video again.

You will only be able to cast online videos from webpages and not the videos stored in your device.

 • Open both apps and add the TV to your iOS device in this app
 • Browse the web for your favorite entertainment in this app
 • Play the videos to launch the cast menu 
 • Keeping the player open, select the Apple TV to cast and voila!
 • Enjoy videos on the big screen!!

Upgrade to A-Cast All-Star Edition (in-app purchase) to watch videos longer than 10 minutes. The upgrade removes the ads at the bottom of the browser. It doesn't remove the ads hosted by the websites you visit. 

Please make sure the websites you frequent play in A-Cast Player before upgrading to the All-Star Edition. A-Cast Player only works with A-Cast app.

I’ve been using this app since the end of 2015.  At that time l was tired of air-playing videos from my device was looking for a way to have a browser for my apple tv. Why don’t we have a Safari browser on our apple tvs??? So, with this app’s browser you can load any movies or videos from any website, and you are free to use your other device as soon as the video is casted to the apple tv.
The only improvements to be made to the browser would be an ad blocker, a pop-up blocker and multiple tabs support.
But, for what it does, this app is well worth the money. It never crashed or displayed an error.

The free version works fine so I thought I was getting a useful app. When I upgraded now all it does is crash. It is completely useless now and although probably not the worst $6 I've spent it is close. Should've burned the money I spent on this at least I would've gotten a little heat from the flames.

When I first downloaded the app, I wasn't sure how this differed from simply airplaying off my iPhone. Then I realized, once the video is cast to the Apple TV, I can totally shut down the app on the phone, or search for other videos and it still plays!  Great job!

I've been looking for a mechanism to view arbitrary webcasts on my new AppleTV and this app, paired with its tvOS sibling, does the trick nicely.

Pair the iOS app with an AppleTV running the A-Cast tvOS app on a local wifi network (supports multiple AppleTVs), navigate to & launch a webcast with the embedded browser in the iOS app, choose the desired target AppleTV, and the iOS app hands off the webcast URL to its tvOS partner.

There are a few drawbacks: doesn't provide for access to your existing Safari bookmarks, and doesn't replicate its own bookmarks between your iOS devices. Hopefully these deficiencies will be rectified in a future update (I'm using version 1.0,2).
