Every time I go back to my course list after watching a video, the list refreshes and takes me to the top, so I have to scroll down to find where I left off. Additionally, I cannot easily seek forward or backward in a video by dragging the progress bar; I can only use the 10-second forward/backward buttons, which is inefficient. In the course list, I can see chapter numbers, questions, exams, and demos. However, when a video is playing and I try to view the list, I can't see the chapter details—just a basic list. And as usual, if I try to navigate to a specific chapter, it refreshes and takes me back to the top of the list. Overall, this app is frustrating to use on a daily basis. If it weren’t for the fact that my workplace only offers A Cloud Guru, I would have switched to another platform by now. ### 1/5 — Downloads don’t work well *2024-08-24, version 4.1.14* Installed the app to view the videos on the plane. The videos consistently get stuck when you’re viewing the videos on a speed greater than x1. Also, if you stop viewing the downloaded videos of a course, that course won’t open again from the downloads until you get the internet back and open the course after searching from the list of courses. Couldn’t complete any course on the flight. ### 1/5 — Incorrect information about the AWS solutions architect associate *2024-06-24, version 4.1.14* Incorrect information about the AWS solutions architect associate. I feel way unprepared for trying to be certified in AWS. Their SAA course information is incorrect and not up to date. They still have SAA -c002 which is not right. It’s the SAA -C003 is the being tested on by Amazon itself. I have to watch YouTube videos and find guides to review and the labs don’t seem to be up to par. They need to do better and not mislead and be honest. But they won’t since they are owned by pluralsight. Which they don’t even update or create new podcasts or videos on new AWS information. Or now that amazon is now adding machine learning AWS certifications and others. I’ve been a member for a 1.5 years after studying and passing several courses and being certified in the cloud practitioner certification. ### 1/5 — It never launches! *2024-04-08, version 4.1.14* whats the point of making app available when it doesnt even launch after installing. Tried several times, and needless to say its complete waste of time. ### 1/5 — Outdated Content *2024-03-09* I started my AI-900 course, only to find multiple labs inoperable due to invalid dataset URLs. On the rare occasion a lab did work, it was promptly terminated for supposedly unusual Bitcoin mining activity, a claim that seems far-fetched at best. Upon reaching out to support for assistance, I was met with a somewhat dismissive attitude, effectively telling me to deal with the situation as presented. Further adding to my frustration, I achieved high scores on their practice exams, yet when I attempted a Microsoft practice exam, I discovered that a staggering 60% of the material was not even covered by their courses. The content and support provided are utterly unsatisfactory. Now, left with no choice, I find myself revisiting the study material through Microsoft’s own self-paced content, having wasted three weeks on what can only be described as subpar offerings from Cloud Guru. I would highly advise anyone considering a subscription to go through the material provided by the Cloud Platforms. ### 1/5 — This app doesn’t even start on iPhones. *2024-02-13, version 4.1.14* This app crashes every time i start it in iPhone 15. I even got to know Ryan and he forever screwed up how I pronounce "cache". I still don't know the intended pronunciation but now I say it with an Aussie accent. 🤣 Even back then it was awesome (another Kroonenburgism...). Now they were bought by Pluralist and it's even better. The hands on labs and sandbox environment is a big differentiator. The mobile app works as well as the website.
