The option to watch ads for diamonds isn’t working at all. Sometimes it makes me watch the ad but doesn’t give me any diamonds. Other times, it doesn’t even play ads at all. Opening the app to a never ending black screen. ### 3/5 — Review change *2026-01-16* I initially gave this four stars when I first started playing, but I’m changing my review because I like to leave honest reviews. It’s kind of a long review, but I’m going to go over what I like and dislike. When I first started, I wasn’t a huge fan of the artwork, but it has grown on me. However, I do not like that every character looks like they have a FUPA. They all have such huge pelvic areas. That is my only complaint about the artwork. I don’t mind the overall style of the art. It’s cute. There are also really cute clothing options. If the creator has another season, hopefully there will be no more FUPAS. I’m sure the majority of us playing this game also play or have played the Love Island game. What I like about this over the Love Island game is that the characters have distinct personalities. The original Love Island app (seasons 1-3) was like that. And this gives me those vibes in terms of character and storyline. Which is good because those seasons were peak. As far as replayability, you can’t really say yet for this app because it’s new and the story isn’t finished. I’m hoping there’s good branching and that it’s replayable. I will definitely replay it once it’s finished so that I can choose a different love interest and see what the story is like. I never replay the aforementioned app anymore because it’s every love interest regurgitating the same thing. I have faith that this one will be replayable. My biggest complaint is that I wish the creator had not released it at all until all of the episodes were finished so that there would be consistency with when episodes get released. It’s advertised as episodes releasing weekly, but it has been over a week since the last episode release. It feels very inconsistent. Another complaint I have is the duration of each episode. Love Island releases weekly, but you get three episodes. I wish this creator would release two or three episodes each week because I feel like I am waiting so long just to be underwhelmed when the episode is very short and passes by quickly. Especially when it’s an episode where nothing substantial happens. That is my main complaint right now and that is why I took off a star from my previous review. The storyline is good so far. The characters are great. I love their personalities. Besides that one little complaint about their pelvic areas, I like the artwork. I like the cute clothing options. I can’t remember offhand if there were good hair options, but there probably is because I feel like if I didn’t like them, I would have remembered that. ### 4/5 — Marcus / GiGi *2025-11-15, version 2.8* I really like this game, but I think some dialogue needs to be fixed. The writing is great, the art is cute, and I love having such a wide variety of dateable options. So far this game reminds me of all the stuff that made me fall in love with the first few seasons of the love island game. Choices ACTUALLY matter, all the characters have their own diverse personalities and feel like real people, the fashion is super cute, and the gem choices are reasonably priced! Way too many bugs. ### 1/5 — Slurs Have No Place in Love *2025-08-10* I found this game on the THTH subreddit and I searched high and low for the link. When I started playing I enjoyed the characters however that quickly soured for me. In one of the early chapters Jayden uses the r-slur to describe the group’s antics. This is offensive and never acceptable, jokingly or otherwise! There are a multitude of alternatives to choose from including “dorks,” “dweebs,” “losers,” & “nuts.” If the creator feels using a slur is acceptable in media like this, I fear for what may come in future chapters. I also highly recommend having someone proofread for errors (spelling, grammar, and coding) in the future. Please do better. It costs nothing to Google a word’s connotation. **Developer response:** Hi. I'm very sorry to hear the "r"-word is still appearing in the game. I had no idea it was a slur until a beta-tester pointed in out to me. After learning that I changed it to "dimwit" in all the game files - and this was a long time ago. So it's really strange why it would be in your version of the game. I'll look into it quickly and figure out why it happened. It shouldn't be in there. Thank you for letting me know. ### 1/5 — I rip off of the Love Island game with awful art style *2025-08-10, version 1.1* This is just a copy of Love Island the Game with terrible art style and a clunky interface. I couldn’t even create my MC as it wouldn’t let me personalise her. Couldn’t even start the game. I ended up quitting after 30 minutes of trying to start. A fail for me. A lot of work needs to be done on this app to make it worth playing. ### 2/5 — Don’t Waste Your Time. *2026-03-30* A first it was great a bit buggy but overall really fun to play and best part you could get gems by watching ads (it worked for me at least. I’ve seen in a review were someone says this option wasn’t working for them) However, the latest volume won’t even let me play it at all! I click play and it doesn’t do a thing, so naturally I tried uninstalling and reinstalling only to find that it completely erases any progress you had previously (seriously I booted up the game and I’m met with Kamala explaining the game and you having to create your character) & I’m definitely not about to replay all the way up to the current volume hoping it will work. I, not thinking right because I’m used to my other games where I’m logged in with my Apple ID, deleted the game and re-downloaded it hoping it would download with the update. Unfortunately, I lost all of my progress. On top of losing all of my progress, I lost all of my diamonds. I was discouraged about restarting because I wouldn’t have diamonds to make the diamond choices and get my outfits. I reached out to the creator to see if there was anything that could be done. She informed me they’re working on a login system that will hopefully be out in February, but in the meantime, she would make sure my diamonds were replaced so that I have them when I restart. I am beyond grateful for her willingness to do this for me. I was so sad when I lost everything. She’s amazing. In terms of just reviewing the app itself, it’s great. I’ve only had one glitch happen one time and it was with an outfit. It was also only for one scene. I love the storyline. I love the art. I love all of the characters’ personalities. If you’re like me and you miss the writers who made the original Love Island the Game S1-S3, then you’ll definitely love this. From the endearing cast to their engaging (and sometimes deep) banter, this game check marks everything that made the OG so memorable. If I could make a suggestion: please add more moments with our chosen interest! Although I adore how there’s a lot of emphasis put on building friendships, at the end of the day we still want more romance. I also wished our past choices made more of a difference or even mattered, such as how our job is relevant or our personal background, instead of never hearing about it again. As for the more unsavory feedback, there are unfortunately lots of bugs and performance quirks that come with low-budget indie games, but they’re honestly not worth getting upset over since everything else positive about the game overshadows it. Things like the home button never working, some graphics not displaying correctly, or how watching ads gives no free diamonds may be irksome, but I’m happy to support and pay anyway 🥰 Keep up the fantastic work! There is a glitch in my game that isn’t allowing me to collect my gems but honestly you don’t really need them. No greedy gem choices where i either pay 50 gems to stand up for myself or get humiliated. Everything just flows smoothly. This is honestly the best rp game for me!!
