And when I select the location for stomach 11 and then it says I’m wrong and it shows me the exact location I selected for the point. I will be emailing support with screenshots to see if they can fix this. Otherwise great app definitely necessary for acu education. **Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback, we have corrected the error with ST-11. I now have no graphics for the point location tests. **Developer response:** Please delete the app fully and download again with good wifi. Allow the initial synch and download to complete, then if you wish you can use the My MoA section to download media for offline use. I am in agreement with the other reviews that the other app was sleeker, worked better, and didn’t have issues with load times/ect. However, I use this app on my IPad and the user display is way too big. And it’s not because my font is “large” either. It’s like they scaled everything up from the iPhone version. It’s so big that I cant even read the whole display at the bottom. Please fix this because the other one worked perfectly. Like why make a 2025 version of the app that doesn’t work. Seems like you guys pushed this out before it worked.. The old version was not working at all for many users. which is why we released the new one when we did. We tested it extensively but could not account for all real-world scenarios. We are now addressing the issues that have come to our attention as quickly as possible. We are currently focussing on the loading and navigation speed, but when this is optimised we will turn our attention to improving the layout. There are many new features and improvements in the new version, so hopefully you will soon love it even more than the old one. ### 1/5 — Upgrade *2025-09-01* Horrible , upgrade is actually a downgrade. Need this for quick reference. Whenever I attempt to use the app crashes, someone needs to come out with a better app and stop improving an app that works . **Developer response:** We apologise for any frustration while we iron out the early teething problems. This new app is going to take a bit work out some kinks, but I’m thankful for it regardless. I use it all the time, and it’s super helpful, also I’m sure the team is working super hard. It takes forever to load and sometimes just won’t load at all. I’ve tried many times to download for offline use and it makes no difference. Now when I open it I can’t even see the screen where you can select a meridian and point. Please revert back to- it was so great and worked so well. **Developer response:** Please delete and download the latest version which addresses some of these issues. The new layout is less convenient but I do like that when you slide right from the opposite end of the screen it goes to the previous page instead of flipping slides. ### 1/5 — Useless *2026-05-15* Paid for a one year subscription but I could never get it to work. Every time I opened the app, the content attempted to download and then failed. Every single time. If the developer ever fixes this issue then please give me a year free subscription. A previously great app lost to subscription-based capitalism. *2025-09-30* I bought the lifetime version of this app and was kicked out of the old app. Now I’m forced to pay for a monthly/yearly subscription service. So my money was essentially stolen from me. Lol. This knowledge is about holistic wellness, but y’all are only thinking about how to squeeze the most money out of people’s pockets. You HAVE to subscribe. 2) The interface is so large that even on my iPad Pro I can’t see majority of the page, that is extremely inconvenient. 3) The loading time on this one is crazy long. 4) When I go to watch the videos, they don’t close automatically when they’re done anymore, which I loved. Also if you’re watching it in landscape orientation and exit the video, it will go to portrait orientation and you have to exit the video tab altogether to get it back to landscape orientation. 5) This is just literally the WORST upgrade ever. There was honestly nothing wrong with the last version. **Developer response:** We're sorry you feel this way, but thank you for your feedback - we are working on some of the points you mention, especially loading times, so hopefully you will find v5.9 to be an improvement, and we will continue to work on other aspects as they come to our attention. The old version had become completely unusable by many customers due to outdated technology, so we are committed to making the new version just as good, but with many added featured (e.g. there are new testing options, better synching between app and website, new patient-centred acupressure point location videos, and more). As for free access, this was only ever possible at the 'Lite' level, i.e. with very limited access. This is still possible. New users get a free 7 day trial (although payment details are required). If the user cancels the subscription at any time during that 7 days, they will continue with 'Lite' access after that. ### 1/5 — Major Downgrade From the Old App *2025-09-11* The new app feels far less functional than the previous version. When navigating through the indexes or glossary, every time you exit a specific acupuncture point, the app automatically scrolls back to the top of the page. For example, if I look up points for asthma in the Indications Index and open one point to view its details, when I go back, it takes me all the way back to the start of the “A” section. In the previous app, it would return you to the exact spot where you left off, which made it much faster to review multiple points. Additionally, the new app did not transfer over the point groups I had saved in the older version. Since I can no longer log in to the old app, I don’t have access to those groups anymore, and I can’t recreate them from memory. **Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback - we're sorry you feel this is now a one star app. We continue to work on improving it and hope you will feel differently soon. We have temporarily reinstated the old app, so if you still have it on your device you should be able to log in. Please copy any important notes/groups as we can't keep both versions active for very long. ### 1/5 — A great app, ruined *2025-09-10* I downloaded the recent 2025 edition of this app is it’s terribly disappointing. It both looks and works worse than the previous version. I get a “network failure ” alert frequently (multiple times every single time I use the app), and the app seems to usually think I’m disconnected from the internet even when I am very much connected to the internet. Frequent crashes as well. Not happy about this at all. **Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback - we are working hard to improve the new app. As for the recurring network failures, this is not something we've seen in our testing, and we haven't had other reports of this so it may be something specific to your device set-up, for example perhaps another service running in the background which is mimicking brief network outages. I’m signed up for MOA pro so that I have access to everything-videos,commentary, download media etc. About a month ago the videos stopped working. I downloaded the media offline and can’t access those either. I just have access to to the written portion like the book but none of the extras that I paid for through the Pro version. Very disappointed and wish someone could help me with that. The videos were the main reason I downloaded this app. ### 5/5 — 🤯 *2026-05-30* Don't let the poor reviews fool you. I almost skipped this app because of them, but it has been incredibly helpful. This is a phenomenal study tool for point location, not a fast reference guide. Because it's based on the Deadman manual—the US gold standard for teaching and passing boards—it's perfect for both quick micro-sessions and deep-dive studying. I also haven't run into any of the performance or buffering issues others reported. Highly recommended for acupuncture students!
