It does what it says on the tin. The format is clear and helpful - eg point combinations and search function. A great, portable and handy reference! ### 3/5 — App problems *2024-11-18, version 4.0.1* I’ve had the same issues as everyone else when it comes to upgrading. Despite this the builders were quick to respond to my concerns and are genuinely interested in helping you out. It’s a great App, and despite the issues I’d recommend it. Just be aware you’ll probably have problems but get in touch with them and it’ll be sorted. ### 3/5 — Great app for acupuncture students *2024-10-13, version 4.0.1* PLEASE PUSH SOME NEW UPDATES! This app hasn’t been updated for a year, there are bugs need to be fixed. Please add more quiz questions for us to practice, that would be helpful. ### 4/5 — Charged but no access *2024-09-13, version 4.0.1* I purchased the standard version to be able to see more channels but was not able to see them so I proceeded to purchase the Pro version however still cannot see any additional content and my account status states “Lite”. I emailed the support org box with no response. Edit to add: Support reached out and enabled my access and refunded the unnecessary standard. App is great when accessible. ### 3/5 — Upgrade through web instead of iPad *2024-08-03* I tried to upgrade several times through iPad and it never worked even though I was charged. Then I tried it on MOA’s website and it worked! So pay through the web and you’ll have full access on iPad immediately. ### 2/5 — Purchased the Pro version but can’t access it *2024-05-12, version 4.0.1* Watch out guys, I purchased the pro version for £50 this morning because I needed access to some of the extra features today. My account is still locked to the lite version and I almost blew another £50 clicking to upgrade to pro again! Lots of logging out and in and restarting the app haven’t helped. I’ve reported it to the App Store and have sent a message to the developers through the app asking for help. 7 days expected for a response is too long though when I needed to use the app today ### 3/5 — Upset and inconvenienced *2024-05-02* I had the original subscription which was a hefty price (don’t remember the exact price because I bought it last year) but since I enrolled in school I told my self that it was a worthy investment. I had access to all the systems. I’ve been off since March and now when I go back into the app I am only given access to the large intestine meridian. I just bought the standard edition for an additional $28 and I still only have access to the large intestine channel. Today is one of the few days I have off between school and work-I REALLY WANTED TO CATCH UP on some of my school stuff and I guess now I can’t. P.s. the app is asking me to pay more to go pro but then why only have a standard subscription if you are only going to restrict a buyer to one organ system just like in the lite subscription? **Developer response:** Hi, we're very sorry to hear about your experience. As a student it is disappointing to download the app and be prompted to pay more again for in order to use the worthwhile aspects of the app to help with studying (quizzes, point location etc). ### 2/5 — I enjoyed until I tried to upgrade *2024-04-22, version 4.0.1* I actually really enjoyed this app and the information offered - very detailed and the pictures are great - beautifully detailed. I updated to standard and it didn’t work, then to pro version with the same issue - nothing working or responsive… Please fix and check your email for my refund request. ### 2/5 — Paid and not able to access *2024-04-02* I paid through Apple Pay/subscriptions through my iPhone like I do with other apps. Usually that gives you instant access. This app still says I’m a “lite” access subscriber, but they’ve been paid my money from my account. The access request says it may take up to 7 days to gain access! Unacceptable. **Developer response:** A small correction, the account restore request says it takes 'up to' 7 days to restore access, but in practice it is usually 1-2 days. I paid for the pro, turn on and off the phone, re-download it so many times, and still not working. I have tried to contact them for this issues, seem better for a while and now it’s the same issue again and it’s frustrated for the cost I pay. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Service stopped without any notification *2025-01-29* I did one time purchase a fewer years ago, the service suddenly stopped one day without any notice, I do not remember when I bought it and can’t provide the information, never mind I paid for upgrade , still can’t login , I contacted the company, it says waiting one or two weeks and checking the email, I want to know exactly the date will the problem is going to solve ### 1/5 — App Doesn’t work *2024-11-21, version 4.0.1* I’m going into acupuncture school and was told this was a great app to use instead of a textbook. Would be nice to actually try to use it. I signed up through my email and it tells you it will send you a verification code to your email to verify your account before you can start. I have resent a verification code multiple times and have yet to receive anything (including junk/spam mail). This app is completely useless if I can’t even get through the first step to use it. I’ve tried using a different email as well as deleted the app and redownloaded it again. Was the best tool I had. I referenced it all the time, especially for studying on the go. Then, I got kicked out. I payed for the standard subscription. Was not allowed to access ANY of the meridians. THEN payed for the PRO subscription. I am still not allowed to access any of the modules. I reached out to the company for access to the INFORMATION I PAYED A LOT OF MONEY FOR. No one has gotten back with me. I am not on here to write a review. It has great illustrations, videos and point descriptions to help locate acupoints accurately and easily. I use this app in clinic and highly recommend it to my students. We should be enormously grateful that the text is offered free here, in an easy to search format, with videos added.
