### 4/5 — Lovely game

*2024-06-30*

Like affairs in court I think all the chapters should be free as the payment is ridiculous and the chapters are extremely short

### 4/5 — Good but overpriced!

*2019-03-12*

It was very entertaining and has plenty of replay value but it’s too short for it to be worth £5.99!

### 3/5 — 😃

*2017-07-17*

I like this game a lot. The only problem is the full game is too expensive. You should lower or, preferably, abolish the price entirely. I do enjoy this game, but it is far too expensive. I do hope you take this into consideration.

### 5/5 — Best Fantasy-based text

*2017-06-14*

First time I thoroughly enjoyed one of their text-based games. It has the right amount of humor and suspense and your courses of actions taken actually nudges the story all in the right (or wrong) places. You have to give this one a try, you won't be disappointed.

### 5/5 — Yay

*2017-06-08*

Good game

### 3/5 — Really fun game

*2017-05-10*

I really like this game it is a fun and challenging text based and varry accessible game for blind people.

### 5/5 — love

*2017-05-01*

love the game so far, the storyline is very interesting and i love that we get to make plenty of choices! :) keep it up!

### 5/5 — Another Great Job!

*2017-04-26, version 1.0.3*

Another great "choose your own adventure" by Choice of games! My first read through I couldn't put it down, had to keep playing till the conclusion. I can tell it's got lots of replay value in it too-looking forward to playing it more! Great job!

### 5/5 — Great

*2017-04-25, version 1.0.3*

Really good story, I loved it and it was very entertaining!

### 5/5 — Just like the others of its kind

*2017-04-18, version 1.0.3*

Similarly to all the other games like this one, it's amazing.

### 4/5 — Good but short

*2017-04-01*

While it was a great game, it was nowhere near long enough to warrant £3.99.

### 5/5 — A True Tragicomedy-

*2017-03-10, version 1.0.3*

It's a wonderful story. What more is there to say? The author so compellingly caught me up in the world of A Midsummer's Night Choice that he had me laughing with every joke, and nearly weeping whenever a tragedy took place, all the way to the end. I highly recommend this to anyone who reads this review.

### 5/5 — A Fun "Choose Your Own" with Replay Value

*2017-02-27*

I've played a couple of the "Choice Of" games and so far, this is one of my faves. I was pleasantly surprised by the wonderful writing and there are many, many choices that affect your story and lead to various outcomes. This story has a nice length, not dragging on or abruptly short. While playing I already see choices I want to choose during my next play through with a different type of character. Definitely worth the money for the full story, and I am already beginning again :).

### 5/5 — Excellent Story

*2017-02-18, version 1.0.3*

This is most likely my favorite game by "Choice of Games", next to, "Choice of Robots". The story was both compelling and witty, and in my opinion worth the money. Anyone who has enjoyed "Choice of Games" in the past will not be disappointed.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Not worth it

*2017-11-24*

There is absolutely no reason that this should be priced at $6. There’s plenty of better storylines out there at half the price and this story was the biggest disappoint I’ve ever encountered with Choice of Games.

### 1/5 — Won't even open

*2016-09-27, version 1.0.3*

It just shows a greyed-out box that can't be deleted, and it can't be opened at all. Looks promising, hope this doesn't happen to anyone else.

### 1/5 — Hendricks

*2016-08-29, version 1.0.0*

Crashes too often

### 1/5 — Won't let me play

*2016-08-26*

Really not great. I don't doubt the story content, in fact, I'm sure that it's a great adventure. However, I guess I'll never know if every time I hit play there's an error pop up box prompting me to send an error report. All other menu options work EXCEPT play. Would love to download and upgrade, but first impression of app functionally left me a little disappointed.

### 1/5 — Crashes

*2016-08-26, version 1.0.0*

I can't play the game every time I try it crashes.

### 2/5 — Disappointing

*2026-05-02*

Where’s my prenzie yaoi

### 2/5 — It was just getting good...

*2020-02-24*

I got to the part when the bear was about to attack when it said that I had to pay $4.99 to continue. There are other ways to make money like ads for instance. But, some people just don’t want to waste money on a game. By making the game cost $ 4.99 you just lost a player who was literally addicted to your game. Your loss not mine.🤷🏾‍♀️

### 2/5 — Fun but overpriced

*2018-07-04*

The story like most of theirs are fun and exciting although it is way overpriced. It’s says free but you only get to play the first two chapters then you have to pay $5 to unlock the full game. Overpriced

### 2/5 — Can’t restore purchases

*2017-11-23*

I really liked this game. I loved the story. But when I reseted my phone (deleted everything) I can’t restore my purchase?????? I paid for almost $6 for this and when I click restore purchase it says I havent bought it???? Do you expect me to buy it again just to play it??? At least refund my money or allow me to restore my purchase!

### 2/5 — Bugged

*2017-05-01, version 1.1.0*

Well written game but when I subverted the Faery Queen's magic I got an achievement error and then it wouldn't let me continue so I'm stuck.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great game

*2020-08-26*

Great game. I really think there should be at least 2 sequels to expand upon the end of the story.

### 5/5 — A fun game all around !

*2020-07-31*

An awesome story with loveable and interesting characters, and an even more delightful writing ! Great replayability potential.

### 5/5 — Yes!

*2020-07-06*

I recommend this story so bad!!! It’s hard to choose between which characters to woo, and this author has me reading it over and over again so I don’t miss anything! It was also very well written, and it had me laughing and smiling so many times. Please read:D

### 5/5 — Loved it!

*2019-06-19*

I am not only an avid reader, but a huge Shakespeare and CYOA fan. This combined two of my favorite styles of literature into one in a flawless, eloquent way. There were very few typos, and the typos I could find did not draw me out of the scenes. There are so many ways to change your story, and I love that your stats can actually impact how well a choice works or not. Also, I enjoyed the fact that this story is not a direct copy of Midsummer Night’s Dream. It is more of a spin-off parody, being unique and pulling certain elements of the play into it, but still holds the fun atmospheric vibes Shakespeare’s original play gave off. This has so much replay value and enjoyable text that the $6 price point is very worth it. If you are a fan of choice-based stories and Shakespeare, you will enjoy this story a lot! I hope to see more Shakespeare-related CYOA content someday.

### 5/5 — A lot of fun

*2019-06-05*

The story was so well written. A very lighthearted game. Had great fun playing through this.

### 5/5 — Glued

*2018-12-12*

I was glued to my phone! It was ABSOLUTELY worth the money! I loved it!

### 5/5 — Pretty Great!

*2018-07-10*

If you like Shakespeare or just fantasy in general this is definitely worth a try.

### 5/5 — The best choice based game

*2017-11-13*

This was fantastic, to say the least! As a young musician and writer I truly recognize this as one of the greatest stories I’ve played in, and ever read. The way the genre of everything was smoothly mixed into the story was extraordinarily poetic. In the short time I’ve played this, the attachment to the characters of this game was lightning fast. The literature was above exceptional, and intriguing. At the end, it quite literally left me craving for more. I would gladly say this is one of the best story games I’ve played on the app store. I would love a sort of sequel to this. I would definitely play this and recommend this to anyone who would want a quick read and inviting, choice based gameplay.

### 5/5 — Beautifully Written.

*2017-09-04*

This story included great comedy and romance, and kept me wanting to read more. Finished the entire thing in one sitting, and want to replay it for more. Would highly recommend to a friend.

### 5/5 — An understanding take on Shakespeare

*2017-07-06*

If you like the stat-based CYOA model and you appreciate Shakespeare's wittier tendencies, you'll enjoy A Midsummer's Night Choice. Very postmodern, from the play within a game to the characters struggling with reciting sonnets to each other. Replayability does invite skimming, but there's plenty of fresh paths to take, especially in the endgame. Oh, and the potential love web is ridiculously hilarious.
