### 4/5 — good game but needed more

*2026-04-03, version 1.1*

It was a really well made and thought out game, however I felt it needed more. It’s quite short which is okay but I think they needed to add more families that were more complex and interpersonal. Having lost someone, I still felt this game properly represented what happens at funerals, I just wish there was a bit more substance to the dialogue.

### 4/5 — Great game but too short

*2024-03-18, version 1.1*

It’s would be nice to run a funeral home in the game . A little too short

### 4/5 — Very Educational

*2023-11-02, version 1.1*

I didn’t find this game morbid at all. The funeral business has always been a mystery. You have opened the doors to an unknown world. The funeral industry is BIG BUSINESS. They make a lot if money taking advantage of people’s grief. Thank you so must for demystifying this process. It was quite educational, informative, and helpful. I hope others find it to be so!

### 5/5 — Wonderful little narrative game exploring death

*2023-05-13, version 1.1*

At the time of writing this, this game has 2.9 stars on the App Store, and I’m shocked. To me it felt like a beautiful and thoughtful narrative game that explores death from the perspective of people who encounter it every day in their jobs.

Yes, the game is short, about 45 minutes for me. Yes, it is worth $3. I don’t understand anyone saying it should be free or cost less—games take SO much work and the expectation that they should sell for tiny amounts of money or be entirely free is toxic.

To the developers, you made a wonderful experience and I hope you’re really proud of it. The people saying it’s too short, or it should be replayable, or it isn’t worth $3 are wrong and haven’t understood the value of a succinct and meaningful interactive story. I’m excited to play anything else you’ve made or make in the future.

### 4/5 — An intimate and beautiful game

*2022-11-07, version 1.1*

I fell in love with the soul of this game. It was was warm and comforting. My only complaint is that it was way too short

### 5/5 — Beautiful

*2022-10-30, version 1.1*

Beautiful, amazing, and sentimental game

### 4/5 — Nice game

*2022-07-12, version 1.1*

The game is great but it is short. It will take you maximum half an hour to complete it.

### 5/5 — A game I like to come back to

*2022-04-06, version 1.1*

Always a peaceful and thoughtful way to spend an hour.

### 2/5 — Boring

*2022-03-11, version 1.1*

Not worth the money

### 5/5 — Knowledge give you choice

*2022-02-09, version 1.1*

Calming and beautiful. Will give you a peek of not only what is happening in the embalming room, but also the conflicts and options in the death industry

### 3/5 — Great story, NOT a game

*2022-01-25, version 1.1*

Unfortunately I didn’t read reviews before purchasing. This was done in thirty minutes.. it was an amazing story, informational, great little bits of culture thrown in here and there. But all that the “game” part of it is, is tapping and sliding your finger on the screen. There’s not enough time to really grow attached to anyone, other than Jen. God I want her to be my best friend.

Anyway, call it what it is- an interactive story.

### 4/5 — I wish there was more.

*2021-12-15, version 1.1*

I love this ! It’s something different and something we definitely need more of . I wish it wasn’t so short .

### 5/5 — Awesome game but….

*2021-09-20, version 1.1*

Would would it end like that, you charge us to do 10 bodies and then it’s over ???? I kinda want my money back smh cool game though

### 5/5 — I get it. I think.

*2021-09-14, version 1.1*

This game is so beautiful but so short. I’m guessing it’s the point. Life is so short and death is so unexpected. Don’t rush it just live while you still can.

### 5/5 — Shows the beauty in death

*2021-09-05, version 1.1*

Though unfortunately short, this game was lovely; teaching little things about funerals, such as alternative ways to be buried (i actually hope to be able to get the biopod that turns your nutrients into a tree).
One part made me tear up, though I won’t spoil it, and others made me filled with rage near the end, as my beliefs don’t enjoy the reality that most companies think funerals as purely money, making it about them, and not what the deceased wishes.
All in all its worth it to support the developer, and I hope to see more games like this if they continue developing.

### 3/5 — Interesting…but needs more

*2021-09-02, version 1.1*

This is a super refreshing and unique game concept, and as a new death doula, I love it.
I really appreciated the insight into the funeral industry it provides.
I unfortunately found it pretty repetitive and short - I finished the game in less than half an hour. There weren’t any choices or alternative routes, and it wasn’t clear on how the main character got to her “happy ending”. Cool concept to start, but needs a lot more to keep it interesting.

### 4/5 — A good game

*2021-08-14, version 1.1*

The game tells an interesting story and I love it.

### 5/5 — The death positivity needed

*2021-07-21, version 1.1*

:)

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — awful

*2024-08-11, version 1.1*

fun for about 15 minutes until the game ends

### 1/5 — loved the game

*2021-09-16, version 1.1*

$3 for this isn’t worth it. I love the game but way to short

### 1/5 — Garbage

*2020-09-06, version 1.1*

As a funeral director and gamer I was excited to try this. A cool way to introduce the profession to younger people. Kind of like FarmVille for funeral homes, right? What I got wasn’t entertaining at all. Nothing “playable” about it. No choices in what you do through the game. Just “tap” through the actions until the game ends.

The storyline is also pushing a pretty strong agenda. An inaccurate one at that. Can I get my $2.99 and hour of my time back?

### 1/5 — Waste

*2020-06-04, version 1.1*

A waste of money. Way too short and there isn’t much of a story to it :/ unsatisfied, sadly

### 1/5 — Ok i guess

*2020-05-10, version 1.0*

Game is pretty, music is great but why am I paying 3.00 for 30 minutes.

### 1/5 — Just wow

*2020-05-09, version 1.0*

How do I return this waste of a game?

### 1/5 — Very short game

*2020-04-28, version 1.0*

I would have loved this game had it not ended after a couple of hours play. To charge £2.99 for something so short is a rip off!

### 1/5 — Disappointed

*2020-04-26, version 1.0*

Disappointed with this game. I love cute interesting indie games but this felt completely underdeveloped. It took me less than an hour to finish, It doesn’t feel like a complete game at all. Love the concept, music and art style but should have developed the game more.

### 1/5 — Bugs

*2020-04-22, version 1.0*

Locks up, not worth the money

### 1/5 — Short

*2020-04-13, version 1.0*

I spent $5 on this game only for it to end within 10 minutes of playing. You work through a few cases, all fairly simple and similar then the game ends with no other options.
It’s a nice game idea, just not worth the money for the amount of game you get

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

*2025-05-03, version 1.1*

Such a special game. I loved the story development.

### 5/5 — Short and Lovely

*2025-04-08, version 1.1*

The perfect little hour-or-so-long game. Thoughtful and gentle.

More games in the near future someday

### 5/5 — I LOVE THIS GAME

*2025-01-22, version 1.1*

I want to be a funeral director and was watching someone play The Morgue Assistant or wtv and was like “i was an mortician game without the horror aspect! death isnt scary!” and then found this game! i absolutely love it! its so cute and i love the story line. i definitely cried just a little bit.. i think the only thing that bothered me was that sometimes the grammar or formatting of the words or wtv its called wasnt always right. but i still adore this game💗

### 5/5 — Shot but beautiful!

*2025-01-03, version 1.1*

I love the artstyle and mini-stories of this game I will say once the boss changed I was slightly frustrated with the choices the new one made yet I think that was the intention as it adds to the story, so I loved it! I highly recommend this game there’s no ads and it’s a peaceful experience that honestly was kind of wholesome even when it was slightly dark at times. Yet not depressing for a morgue game. I liked that and I’m interested to see any other games made by this person or people. ✨💖💯

### 5/5 — dont understand the negativity :(

*2024-07-17, version 1.1*

i loved this game! the people who are complaining about it being too short are suuuchh negative nancys. i spent about an hour playing the game — five dollars is not an absurd price for that! ^_^ i liked looking through all of the details of the emails and dialogue! awesomesauce..

### 5/5 — Beautiful, heartfelt, enlightening

*2024-06-30, version 1.1*

Everyone should play this game. It’s a story you play through in one go, but it is such a powerful story. Pro tip: Be sure to read all the emails before responding to the one with a response prompt.

### 5/5 — Best Game ever

*2024-01-03, version 1.1*

I’ve always wanted to be an mortician. And I finished the game like 5 time actually tho. Please make another game🙏🙏🙏

### 5/5 — Well done <3

*2023-09-14, version 1.1*

This was fantastic, a huge virtual hug to the creators. I played the whole thing, it’s very respectful and realistic, you incorporated so many things about the current funeral culture. Thank you!

### 5/5 — Educational

*2023-06-22, version 1.1*

This is much more educational then a game. That said I 100% recommend it for people who are interested in the mortuary field, or to better understand what your options are for when it’s your time.
