### 3/5 — Has a glitch

*2022-12-28, version 1.6.5*

Like the application a lot, but lately it started flickering when you press on “default”. Please fix it.

### 4/5 — Great app

*2021-11-11, version 1.6.5*

I been studying a dialectal language and this app has been useful to learn more this oral language.

### 4/5 — My favorite flash card app but.....

*2016-05-11, version 1.6.5*

I study foreign languages. And this is BY FAR the best flash card app, in my opinion. I love that you can review only the cards you don't yet know. The interface is great. HOWEVER it glitches often!!!! Randomly, o can't access a whole deck of cards and switch cards or see other buttons...... I eventually find my way back to the other cards and they'll all work. But RANDOMLY there will be cards I can't use and I have to make the deck all over again. This didn't do this when I first started to use it....
I hope they fix it eventually!!! (Buts it's been happening over a year now). But even even with the glitch.... It's my favorite flash card app and I've learned to deal with it and manage....

### 4/5 — great app but lack important functions

*2012-08-03, version 1.5*

I luv this app. However, it's lacking of few important functions. eg. 1.zooming of the pictures, 2.able to rearrange the card order numbers, 3.able to skip to or search particular card number without having to scroll all the between cards, 4.able to allow user to move and arrange multiple cards on the screen, 5.font colors, internet connection doesn't work, etc..

### 4/5 — Michael

*2012-07-17, version 1.5*

Nice app. I was using the free version initially. It had some bugs in it like stopping abruptly and and not allowing me to drag from when copying & pasting from my study materials. Yes I guess I was extorted into the plus version. It's good so far. I'm using it for my A&P class. After a while it did get to a point where I was unable to add a category. When I tried the app shut down.

### 4/5 — Great App

*2012-06-03, version 1.5*

This a great book. I'm actually using it to start writing a book. Only issue I have is that I can't reorder the cards, relocate the cards, or reset the settings of the cards. Not sure how to bring one card to the front or another set without copy & paste. Also, I didn't set the cards up originally with picture and sound, so now it seems I'm stuck in a picture less soundless set until I reinvent the cards, I have hundreds already so this a large feat. Hoping these are addressed in the updates. :-)

### 4/5 — Okay

*2012-05-17, version 1.5*

Okay app with a few shortcomings. Biggest issue, I have been unable to justify my flashcards (default is center justify). But, well worth the cost.

### 4/5 — Great app

*2012-05-10, version 1.5*

I just wish that I could use math characters so I could create better formulas, or take pics and insert them into the cards.

### 4/5 — Good for studying on the go!

*2012-04-23, version 1.5*

Good app but I wish it had a highlighting feature and true shuffling capacity. It was great that I could
download my cards from a website and didn't have to create my own.

### 4/5 — Great app for studying

*2012-04-21, version 1.5*

Love how you can choose 3 piles of cards, a bit confusing to learn though and they get 4 stars because the "shuffle" is not really shuffle: same order if you do it again.

### 4/5 — Good app

*2012-04-12, version 1.5*

I love this app, but I gave it 4 stars because it doesn't have different font colors to choose from.

### 4/5 — Great flash card app

*2012-04-11, version 1.5*

I've tried many flash card apps and this one is was easy to use and versatile in options but not to complex. Always room for improvement.

### 4/5 — Worthwhile

*2012-04-04, version 1.5*

This card is is the best I've used. There are many available for download which is nice. I wish I could edit the downloaded stacks. That's the only downside.

### 4/5 — Pretty good I like it

*2012-02-02, version 1.5*

I kinda wish there was a way to go back a card cause sometimes I accidentally double click a word to maybe go into one of the categories

### 5/5 — A+++++++++

*2012-01-18, version 1.5*

Great product makes carrying index cards a thing of the past

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — They make sure you buy the full version

*2015-08-18, version 1.6.4*

Just downloaded the app and I just deleted it. As soon as I opened the app, before I could hit any button, a video ad popped up and I couldn't exit out of it for at least 5 secs. Doesn't seem like a long time but left a bad impression for me on this app. I feel like it's a cheap attempt to get me to buy the full version.

### 1/5 — Crashed when needed most

*2012-06-12, version 1.5*

I originally gave this app 5 stars but now that I'm studying for a major test and need it most this app crashes every time. I even restarted my iPad and it still crashes. I will no longer rely on this app, which is too bad since it was great. Please fix!!

Update: The app seems to crash randomly, when it crashes it does so continuously; I have closed all other apps, reset the Flashcards app and even reset my iPad to no avail. However other times it seems to work just fine. I am currently using the iPad generation 3 iOS 5.1.1 with no jail breaking or any other tampering. Since I need a consistent app there is no way I can continue to use this one I'm sorry to say.

### 1/5 — Distraction rather than study aid

*2012-03-10, version 1.5*

In-app purchase only work on 1 device. If you want full features you have to pay $5 for each device. Swiping to the next card is gone, the box thing is kind of annoying; impressive interface but too distractive for studying.

### 1/5 — Garbage in, Garbage out

*2010-08-22, version 0*

This app is only as good as the content therein, i.e., Law. Zero continuity and a royal pain. Title and subject matter must be accessed in a universal manner. As another user stated, I am uncomfortable weeding through someone else's notes. It would be wonderful if said flash cards were professionally created, verified for accuracy, and organized properly. Perhaps something from West Law or Lexis, at a price per set. Again, if your a serious college student, I cannot think of any reasonable person whom would put their faith in someones else's notes. In this case, I may as well spend the time to create my own flashcards. Thus, defeating the intent of this app.

### 1/5 — the app has a problem

*2010-08-19, version 0*

I like tha app and purchased a pro version for almost $8.00 but the pro version has a magor issue. Then I try use online dictionary to add definition to my card the app close by itself and does not save my card, so the online dictinary does not work at all. I bought this app only for this fiture because it could save me a ton of time to create my own card and study english. Please fix it.

### 2/5 — Too bad it appears to be orphaned

*2019-06-01, version 1.6.5*

5 stars, if it were actively developed. Quizlet integration is broken, and emailing myself card sets isn’t working on my iPad so I can share cards between devices. It appears to have been bought up by a holding company, and by the version history, they don’t appear to be maintaining it actively ...

### 2/5 — Too good to be true

*2012-08-14, version 1.5*

You'll think this app is the most amazing study tool ever created...until you're too far in to switch to something else. You'll spend hours making this great set with pictures and sounds, and then you can't upload them until you pay for the app and the quizlet subscription. Which is fine- they are good services, they deserve to profit. But then you'll pay for all that and try to email your perfect set or send a backup copy and nothing will ever work. And good luck finding support or getting someone to answer your questions. So if you thought you'd finally found a flashcard app that lets you draw on your cards, share your cards with your friends, or access decks from different devices, you haven't. You've found an app that could do all that in THEORY but probably won't.

### 2/5 — What happened

*2011-10-15, version 1.3*

I updated this app to what is now called A+ (formerly Flashcards +), and it was like a step backwards... It takes me forever to move through my stacks of cards now and once I pass a card I am reviewing, I can't go back unless I exit out of the review mode and start over, and with luck, still remember why I wanted to see it again by the time I find it.
I would love some control over the organization of my stacks too. I can't put them into general categories like 'Brain Anatomy,' or 'Immunology' which would be nice.

### 2/5 — Misleading

*2010-08-13, version 0*

The proper name should be FlashCards LITE (not Plus) as you cannot do much with it unless you upgrade to "Pro" for 8$ more.

You can import user created flash cards off the internet (no more than 3 sets) but without the Pro version you cannot created your own.

Heavily limited for a "Plus" version.

Functioning ok otherwise although it acts strange at times. When you go through a test and choose "Not sure" for the flash cards sometimes it shows the answer on the back of the card (and asks if you knews the answer or not) sometimes it just dumps it in the "Not sure" bin directly without showing. Random.

I ended up getting Flashcards Deluxe which is cheaper and better (you can add pictures and sounds to your flashcards)

### 2/5 — User created libraries incorrect

*2010-08-13, version 0*

The free version does not allow the creation of your own flash card sets, so you have to download libraries that were created by other users. The problem is that there are mistakes in them, since nobody checks them for accuracy. The idea is good in general, but be aware of the shortcommings.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great update!

*2014-10-25, version 1.6*

Fixes some of the bigger bugs I was having before. Highly recommended!

### 5/5 — Great app.

*2012-08-08, version 1.5*

Love this app. It is so much easier, faster and more organized than writing paper flash cards.

### 5/5 — Learning Hebrew

*2012-07-26, version 1.5*

This app allows me to access Quizlet databases and to study vocabulary lists that have been giving me fits. What a great app. Thanks!

### 5/5 — Perfect

*2012-06-05, version 1.5*

Tried so many others but this one pretty much makes you study the words, and separate them into I don't know, not sure, and I know. This helps you get the harder words done first and if you still don't understand then redo it. "Perfect in all ways!"

### 5/5 — Awesome app!

*2012-02-23, version 1.5*

This app saves so much time from writing your own flash cards. Just search for a subject and pops up sets of flash cards done by people.

### 5/5 — Great Flashcards

*2012-02-14, version 1.5*

Works fantastic for college. Being able to put multiple classes on here, works very well

### 5/5 — Great!

*2012-02-06, version 1.5*

For being free it's a great app. Being able to make in one set up to 65 note cards and 52 in another. Helps out a lot.

### 5/5 — Great for homeschooling

*2012-01-31, version 1.5*

The kids can have their own sets, make their own cards, record their voices... Very useful!

### 5/5 — Very Useful

*2012-01-31, version 1.5*

This is a great app to use with students to practice vocabulary or word reading. I use it almost every day with my students. It is saving me a lot of index cards. Very helpful!

### 5/5 — Amazing!!!

*2012-01-19, version 1.5*

Helps soo much for studying on the go!! I don't have to make a million flashcards anymore.
