That said, it’s still good and challenging and the puzzles were great! I’m only giving it four stars because my biggest criticism would be that there were several times in the game that I had the answer to a puzzle figured out (eg. the soda stain) but you have to do things in the correct order in order for it to work, so before I realized that I was bouncing all over the place wondering what I hadn’t tried, only to have to go back and talk to a toy again. ### 4/5 — It’s almost perfect *2024-11-18, version 1.1.5* Great game but had to knock it down a notch because there was no access to hints so I had to go to YouTube to see how to pass the “gears” puzzle which made absolutely no sense. Even after watching the walkthrough. Trop d’énigmes très tordues, pas de d’indice donc j’ai été obligé d’aller chercher les indices sur internet, c’est dommage. Notamment le train et la TV/synthé sont vraiment fourbes… ### 4/5 — Great but Glitchy *2021-11-14* This is a fantastic game. I have played all of them at the time of this review (this was the last one I played) and I am greatly enjoying it (not finished yet). I like that many of the puzzles were multi-faceted. A lot of this type of game is basically fine one thing and then use it. Glitch games have a great knack of making you chain clues together to work out a solution. My only “complaint” is that the game, quite often, would lock up. The navigation button(s) would not display and nothing reacted to tapping. This may be due to the fact that I tend to click quickly when I know where I am trying to go. This is why I am reviewing before completing the game. But, despite the annoyance of having to exit force the game to quit and restarting it still is a great game, and the camera feature is invaluable and much better than what other games do by automatically filling in a notebook. I prefer to figure out what is important rather than being told, or even worse not having a way to record the important bits. In many other games I am forced take pictures of the screen (iPad) with my phone. ### 4/5 — Fun game but…. *2021-09-23, version 1.0.6* Fun game but some of the puzzles make zero sense. The hint button is not working either. This is a very old game as I understand. Other Glitch games are much better written games than this one. Note: this game does not use microphone despite you see voice command input in the game. ### 3/5 — Too many issues *2021-04-13, version 1.0.5* I really wanted to love this game but the hint button does not appear anywhere (I made sure I enabled the hint option). Also the microphone won’t work so I can turn the tv on. It’s not responding when I speak into it. ### 2/5 — Buggy *2021-04-02* Other glitch games have been amazing. This one was... for lack of a better word, glitchy. The books on the shelf puzzle glitched, there was a clue for the six settings on the vent that never displayed, and at the end, the train clue never triggered. I had to rely on Appt Unwrapper to understand what was, in theory, supposed to happen. When a puzzle game like this glitches, it’s deflating because you can’t tell the difference between a bug and when you’re actually, truly stuck on a puzzle and just need to think outside the box. You can spend 40 minutes thinking creatively only to find out it’s actually a bug! Iteration needed but could be a great game if these issues are fixed. ### 4/5 — Fun and Challenging *2021-01-21, version 1.0.5* Really enjoying the game. From obscure and ludicrous “logic” to absolutely foolish and inarticulate tasks... there’s NO way this side of Hell that anyone can figure out many of these egregious puzzles without a walkthrough. Don’t misunderstand me; it’s not that the puzzles are intellectually challenging, it’s that they are so beyond ridiculous that you’d have to be in the mind of the developer to even get. Like most Glitch games, I’ve fallen into the darkest depths of creative void... terrible graphics, atrocious fonts... a snoring 8 ball? The environment and “score” has a very uncomfortable vibe, like... you just want to finish it to get it over with. But I shall not finish. Get me outta here... ### 3/5 — Disappointed in “a glitch has occurred”In game *2020-06-28, version 1.0.4* After I set my options, it won’t let me get back to my game. Tried everything. Wish it worked cause there are great graphics and music. Please fix the game!! ### 2/5 — Some kind of bug or issue with sequencing *2020-05-09, version 1.0.3* Due to an error in the game, I managed to finish this game without doing a bunch of the puzzles or tasks. When I returned the second alien child to the alien, it suddenly played the end of game sequence even though I had not done many of the tasks (which I have since read about online) or found the third child. Very disappointing as despite reaching the end I have a feeling of lack of satisfaction and fulfilment. Plenty of puzzles I could see still to be solved (coded box on the stairs, soda stain, flower box with turners etc) that I didn’t get to figure out. It was a fun game until then but this error really spoiled it for me. I don’t want to try it again as I have no idea how the error came about and how to prevent it from occurring again. ### 5/5 — Excellent! *2020-04-25* My 12 year old and I worked on this escape room over 3 days( a few hours each day). Nice story line. Really fun but we had to look for clues online a few times. Well worth the money. The 8 ball still says it lost its train of thought but all the tracks are added for the train so there must be a bug somewhere. Probably because I was able to get one of the track pieces before I was supposed to or something. The camera placement covers the photo album, so you can’t access the photo album. It just takes another picture (which you can’t see). I would need to use two devices to play. I had difficulty with it because I’m used to more intuitive puzzles & escape rooms. The puzzles from this didn’t really connect for me. For example using the clip for the remote & the keyboard for the TV puzzle did mot connect for me at all. Unless you have a lot of patience and / or intelligence, you’re going to struggle here! Having said that, it is a well thought out game and takes very many hours to do. The only thing missing here or hence, which are included in their other games. I suspect most people will meet them at some point! I’ve never played a game in this genre before where the entire setting is available to you right away (minus some small areas you need to gain access to). In the beginning it’s a challenge, but by the end I knew where everything was like the back of my hand. There are some really out of the box challenges and puzzles here - ones that really make you think, which is no surprise from Glitch. There were a few places I got stuck and had to look up a walkthrough, but each time it was because I had overlooked a clue which isn’t surprising in this non-linear, single-room setting. I kept photos of everything I hadn’t solved yet, so when I got stumped I could swipe through instead of having to check the entire room out again.
