Leider muss ich beim erneuten Öffnen der App meine Käufe jedesmal wiederherstellen, um die von mir gekauften Sounds nutzen zu können. Es sei angemerkt, dass diese Sounds in der Webversion kostenfrei sind. Die von mir erstellten Mixe werden auch nach jedem Schließen der Anwendung gelöscht… ### 2/5 — Locked. *2024-10-29, version 1.0.8* Almost everything is locked and you need to pay to unlock it. ### 4/5 — App Keeps Resetting *2024-10-18* I like the default noises, and the ability to mix is also wonderful. In addition, the extra noises are pretty cheap. However, every time I close the app, the whole thing resets. Noises that I deactivated will reappear on the main screen, noises that I bought will have to be accessed through the "restore purchases" menu, and mixes will disappear while the default mix will reappear, even if I deleted it. It's weird because I'm still signed in when I reopen the app, but all of the above happens. Everytime I switch it on it’s reset to default! From time to time the sound doesn’t play. Tried opening and closing, connecting disconnecting headphones, changing volume etc - no luck. Hitting play/pause on headphones or the keyboard does not work. ### 2/5 — One critical bug *2022-12-16* The loop back period has a bug in it, where the sound grows further and further apart at the time the loop happens. A few hours later, there is a long, silent pause where the sound is meant to loop. This has been happening to me consistently for years of using this app on and off. This is a MUST FIX type bug, because it severely degrades one’s ability to sleep while using the app. (For me, the white noise keeps me asleep through the night.) ### 5/5 — The best sleep app *2022-10-24* I’ve used quite a few sleep apps both paid and free and Murmur is the best. I love the rainstorm with things like rain, wind and thunder going as it reminds me of living in Hilo, Hawaii. Unlike other soundscapes Murmur doesn’t have a steady sound droning on and on like an unnatural rain machine that other apps do. This one is variable with its sounds and intensities. So you not only hear the rain hitting the roof but you can really tell when the rain gutters have overflowed and the rainwater is spilling onto a concrete walkway. I wear a Bluetooth eye mask to block light when sleeping that has speakers in it and when this app is going it’s hard to separate the sounds of the app from reality. The free version is fine and may be all you need but I paid the in-app purchase because the developer should really be rewarded for such an elegantly simple, and effective app. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Resto ring iPad from backup broke the app! *2026-02-12, version 1.0.8* Yet another glitch with an otherwise usable app. Since having to wipe & restore iPad from backup the timer fails to activate sound mixes. Selecting mix, stopping sounds then opening timer to start results in timer counting down but no sounds. Disappointing. ### 1/5 — App resets when closed *2026-02-10, version 1.0.8* If the app is closed or phone restarts all settings reset, including all purchased sounds being locked and removed from customized selections. I chose it after trying several others that didn’t measure up. I even recommended it on social media. But now it’s broken: since the last upgrade within the last month my mixes failed to perform. They would either start low volume and never reach the ones I set them at or they would rapidly lose volume many minutes before the timer setting. Trashing my existing ones and trying to create new mixes result in the same disappointment. Unless it’s fixed soon I’ll delete it and share my unhappy experiences with it all over social media. No ads, I’ve never paid a cent, I can make the rain louder than the thunder or vice versa, can control on Lock Screen… amazing 10/10 app thank you for helping me sleep 💖 ### 5/5 — One of my favourite apps…. *2025-03-14, version 1.0.8* I use this with noise cancelling headphones when I want to cut out background noise. I love the fact you can curate your own background sound by combining different options. Right now I have bird sound overlaid on the waves of the sea. Very peaceful. I also like the way the sounds just carry on rather than cutting out after a set time like some meditation apps (there is also a timer if you would like to set a time limit), and I can shut my iPad and it carries on.
