Graphics are nice, gameplay is fine except it is so frequently interrupted by ads that cause problems in the display. When the ad is over, the display resolution is way down/distorted, which makes gameplay impossible. So it has to be stopped and restarted. There are no low barrier to entry options to buying the game either. I wasn’t sure what to expect and wasn’t really expecting much. It was a nice combination of hidden object, puzzle, and story. It was just the kind of game I had been looking for. I played on a phone with a smaller screen and had a bit of a hard time with some of the puzzles because they were harder to see, and thus tap, since some of the elements were so tiny. There is a built-in zoom on the non puzzle screens, which helped. In the end, I did get through the game with minimal problems and a lot of fun. If they release another game like this one, I would definitely play it if I can. ETA: It was a pretty short game, but since I was able to play for free, it was fine. If it had been a game I had to pay for, I would have been disappointed by the length of the game. ### 3/5 — Fun, not worth the $ *2022-08-25, version 1.7* Fun game overall. It’s glitchy though and the screen on the iPad shakes oddly on startup. I can usually get past that and start playing the game, but now I’ve reached the point in the castle where I need 5 clock pieces and it will not show me the 5th clock piece that you use by switching the light positions. I watched a walk through and I know what I’m supposed to do, but the game I’m playing doesn’t allow for it. Disappointed after I’ve gotten to this point in the game. ### 5/5 — Absolutely adorable! *2022-06-15, version 1.5* I thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful little game! It was a new kind of hidden object game with beautiful scenes and adorable characters. I played straight through on my Ipad in one evening, and I had no issues whatsoever. Some of the minigames were a bit hard but you can skip them if you want. The hints are easy to reload if you’re not sure what to do next, no need for a map or guide. I loved finding the puzzle pieces also! A complete departure from anything Gamehouse has put out before (or even the old Big Fish-style HOGs) and I would love more like this. But until you developers make up your minds as to whether you want this game to be free or not, it for me is now unplayable. What do I mean? Well at the beginning of the tutorial a message flashes up telling your players that if they want to keep the game free they should allow tracking, all well and good sounds great to me. BUT less than a minute later another message flashes up telling me that if I want to continue playing I need to pay either £8.99 or a not much cheaper subscription per month. Crazy! So which is it developers? Is the game free or do we have to pay for it? You cannot have it both ways no matter how much you try. Game deleted and I will say DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS GAME!!!!! ### 1/5 — Nonstop Crashing *2022-06-23, version 1.5* *UPDATE* I’m so sad to report that after contacting support and getting no response or the same canned response, and the quality of the new games being added, I finally ended my gamehouse subscription. I NEVER thought I would do that, I’ve been a loyal customer for so many years. I hope the quality returns and then so might I. But I can’t justify $10/month for games that aren’t up to gamehouse standards and now don’t work at all. And what’s worse, issues still aren’t fixed months later. Thank you for all the years of great games, I can only imagine how difficult it must be to churn out games for a subscription but I can’t keep paying for this type of service. I’ve given up expecting an actual human response from GH so I’m leaving this as an update to my feedback so perhaps other loyal fans will see it. *original review* Also playing on an iPad like many here. Crashes nearly every time I play, while it’s loading right after I create a character name and press play. It let me play once briefly, then crashed, which was even more frustrating. Like many others writing here I’m also a subscriber. We love Gamehouse games and wait a long while for new games to come out, so it’s extra rough when they get released and don’t work. I contacted support and was told all the pat responses about making sure my device is up to date and working properly. When I replied that it is I never heard back from anyone again.
