### 5/5 — GREAT

*2016-04-23, version 1.0.3*

Worth every cent. Engaging story, insightful commentary, and gasping moments keep you reading and not wanting to put it down.

### 5/5 — Really enjoyed it!

*2016-03-27, version 1.0.3*

Even though my first ending sucked I had a fantastic time and am ready to play through again right away!!!

### 5/5 — Yes!!

*2016-02-08, version 1.0.3*

Played this after playing Zombie Exodus!! I need more games like this!!

### 5/5 — Time of my life

*2015-12-11, version 1.0.3*

I had an amazing time playing through this one. I highly recommend it

### 5/5 — Really absorbing

*2015-12-10*

I can honestly say I've enjoyed this far more than many others. All of the ones released are fun, but this one really drew me in. It's a very spread out story and has lots of details which make it feel really huge. I have just read through it for the first time and played it very cautiously. Now I'm going to go in again like a loony and be really selfish and crazy(!). 10/10 and congrats to the author for a really well written piece of work :)

### 5/5 — Great game!!!

*2015-11-21, version 1.0.3*

I was a big fan of zombie exodus and the author did a great job with this new title. I would definitely recommend this game and if you haven't checked out zombie exodus that game is fantastic. Great work!

### 5/5 — Fun!

*2015-11-11, version 1.0.3*

I really enjoyed it!

### 5/5 — Awesome Game

*2015-11-07*

Great game with a ton of different options and story threads to follow! You have to play this game multiple time to get the full scope of this incredibly detailed game. It doesn't leave anything out, and you are free to explore the game as much as you want.

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2015-11-05, version 1.0.3*

Really amazing interesting game, it had a great concept, I'd really like a squeal

### 5/5 — Time well spent

*2015-10-26*

So far, this has been my favourite Choice Game. Same guy who did Zombie Exodus, and it shows in the quality. The ending being a 'what next' based on your choices is a nice touch.

### 5/5 — Fine writing and fun story telling

*2015-10-22*

I always like games like this. I was never one to read except for maybe fan fictions and subtitles of video games but reading through this adventure pushed my mind to the creative limit and more. I kept thinking exactly what was going as a movie. The detailed descriptions happily had me seeing the environment around me as I played my self-named character. I really felt scared, happy, anxious and emotional when choosing my given choices. That's something I like about these games and I think others will like too. Definitely one to check out. Plus I was happy to get Olivia as my girl in the story. I like the authors stuff and hope he comes out with more soon.

### 5/5 — Lifeline 2

*2015-10-06*

I love this read. Exciting to know that the ending is based on what you would do next. Another plus is that you can read it again with different endings. I would buy Lifeline 3 if they make one. I also read Lifeline 1.

### 5/5 — Another great story.

*2015-10-03*

Loved it though if I had any Criticism it would be that the game paces itself well but then the final chapter feels suddenly very rushed and largely unaffected by previous actions, I also kind of liked the ending but it didn't really leave it up for a sequel which could be disappointing from a world I want to learn more about!

### 5/5 — I loved it.

*2015-09-27*

Such a great game!! I really loved this one, it was just perfection. I really liked the idea of having the power of time, something I've always wanted to have! So for me to play this game as a fictional character is super awesome! I love every game you guys make and have bought the Hero series as well (loved that by the way) I hope you guys make another game soon! I can't wait.

### 5/5 — A Fun Run Through Text

*2015-09-21*

I enjoyed the craft of this game's writing, especially the relationships between characters. For the first time I didn't feel like I was pushed into an obvious romance and the friendships you can cultivate had more dimension than many of the other 'Choice of' series I've played. I'd love a sequel and hope they fix some of the odd text flubs I noticed while playing. An excellent purchase.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Ugh

*2016-03-17, version 1.0.3*

Paid lots of money, wasn't worth it. I spent 3 hours on this game, died, and it ended. There wasn't even anything I could do. I couldn't even go back before I died to choose something else. Waste of time and money.

### 3/5 — Pretty enjoyable

*2020-08-30*

Good replay value and interesting characters.

### 4/5 — Enjoyable so far

*2017-05-15*

I'm a few chapters in and the story's good so far. The writing's engaging, there's a lot of options for how you can direct the story and there are frequant choices rather then just walls of text. My only problem is that the app crashes quite a bit, though it's more of an annoyance then anything since it starts up quickly and you can continue from exactly where you left off.

### 4/5 — Ending feels rushed, but ample gameplay

*2017-05-11*

This game is fun. Hands down. It's one of the longer choice games, but the story is more streamlined than some of the other games. The ending feels rushed and you can't really invest your time into decisions you would prefer, but it is still good and a game that is worth your time.

### 4/5 — Frustrated

*2016-06-14*

This was an amazing game don't get me wrong. And if it weren't for one thing that really frustrates me it'd have all five stars! But for the life of me I can't figure out how to wind up with Raj. I can get him to kiss me but it never went past that. Either he'd say I'm a bad influence on him because I tried to make him like me and it backfired in the end, or he wouldn't be interested at all in me because I wasn't enabling his gambling when I'd try to be a better influence. So either way Raj would turn me down in the end after I spent hours trying to wind up with his character. And I CAN'T figure it out! When I say I spent hours I'm not kidding at all, I spent HOURS trying to get his ending. It's beyond irritating. Maybe I'm just stupid that I missed something I don't know, but my annoyance over this is what makes me take away a star.

### 4/5 — Very Interesting, but the ending was abrupt

*2015-09-19, version 1.0.3*

The Rienesancce (can't spell) scene tied a beautiful story together into a hodgepodge ending that left me very confused. Other than that, it was so beautiful.

### 4/5 — Great writing but the illusion of choice.

*2015-09-17*

It was and is absolutely fantastic writing. The only thing I don't like is how forced the ending is and how you only get the illusion of choice with Barnabas. No matter hat you do he spares you, then he either leaves, spares you, or flees, and then the last time you meet him you fight him and win. EVERY TIME. Maybe I haven't found all the ending but I feel as though Barnabas is forced upon the story without actually being a sort of it. You can't do anything except talk to him or punch him in the face, and even then you get the same course of events with him. Next time make characters like him blend with the story more. Give more choices, allow us to befriend him, allow us to do other things. Anything but kill him. Some people want to make friends. Not kill people. Overall an amazing story but Barnabas feels forced.

### 4/5 — Good

*2015-09-10*

Overall I really enjoyed it. However having only played through once I feel like the male love interests are all horrible compared to the female ones. Gonna try again and see if my choices help.

### 4/5 — Awesome, but must dock stars.

*2015-09-08*

On an iPad: Can't change the text size (too small for me!) Can't change the font. Can't hide distracting "stats" when in landscape mode.

Other than that, it's wonderful and clever.

Just "finished" it (a few times), just wonderful. Have to give back a star. Still needs a font size option.

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2020-01-01*

I started this book awhile ago, and it lasted me awhile. You get to know the characters very well, but the best part is being in control, something that’s usually impossible when reading a book. The ending is sad and happy, but the book is totally worth your time. I’m probably going to reread it to see the other possible outcomes.

### 5/5 — Sequel

*2018-10-02*

I NEED A SEQUEL!!! I’ve read this and gone through it maybe 50 times and I love it each time I do. I’ve came to memorize lots of choices and I really want to see a sequel or even prequel to this. Pleaaase do me this favor!!!

### 5/5 — I’d love a sequel

*2018-06-05*

I frankly love this Choice of Game. It has everything I want and it delivers surprisingly well. I can’t quite describe why but it’s left me with a need for more of this character you play as.

### 5/5 — I loved it

*2017-06-23*

I read this book and was so sad to see the end. It had me hooked and it's something that really kept me reading. My conclusion on this is it is a great book I would recommend to everyone.

### 5/5 — Clever

*2017-06-05*

The greatest achievement of a text based game in my opinion, is its ability to get you invested in its story. This one does just that.

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2017-05-13*

Had an absolute blast playing this game. Would definitely recommend it to anybody that has a bit of free time on their hands

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2016-07-23, version 1.0.3*

It was an amazing story to be a part of!

### 5/5 — Awesome!

*2016-06-29, version 1.0.3*

The best choice of games, fame by far. Great story, and I feel your choices really influence the game. The story and characters are great.

### 5/5 — Worth It.

*2016-06-07, version 1.0.3*

Super fun; was addicted instantly. ❤️

### 5/5 — One of the best text based adventures

*2016-05-13*

I'm a big fan of Choice of Games, even though the writing of some are not exceptionally deep, and more about choices than story. This, however, was incredibly well written, deep, and felt like the perfect mix of story and options. Highly recommend giving it a try!
