This is not a good little app for a 4 yr old. Why? Because it's not user friendly, because the instructions are in writing which assumes the user can read. Because the sound isn't great. Because it makes no attempt at phonics or giving any clue where to start. Because the buttons are small, because it's easy for a pre-schooler to tap on the ad instead. I was disgusted to see that the advertisements running across the bottom. Included 'chat now' live with women. What the hell. Disgraceful! This is. They are totally inappropriately placed and my daughter keeps tapping the add and opening the full advert. My child mistakenly pushes these buttons to exit the app. This needs to be fixed for the purchased app. Except for this issue, it's a good educational app. ### 4/5 — A1 Spelling *2012-09-08, version 1.2.0* Very good app for spelling but please either remove the adverts from the paid version or move it to the top out of the way of the buttons. ### 5/5 — Great app *2013-11-09* My son was spelling some words and I wanted to find an app that can give me the control to give him letter hints or not and this one served exactly that purpose.
