## What is A3 Atlas Scanner?

Atlas Scanner turns a site visit into a complete building record — on location, with no Internet needed.

Scan room by room or floor by floor using your device's LiDAR sensor. The app produces dimensioned 2D floor plans, computes areas, and keeps everything in a per-property record you can reopen months later.

**Built for field work**
Large buttons, guided steps, no clutter. Every scanned zone is reviewed on screen before you accept it: you see the plan, the dimensions and a quality score before moving on.

**Photos that stay tied to the place**
Photograph the electrical panel, the main water valve, the water heater, the router, the thermostats. Each photo stays attached to its room and to its point of interest — no more camera roll where you can't tell which building you're looking at.

**Sensor suggestions**
From the surveyed geometry, the app proposes where to place sensors and explains why. Accept, move or decline — the decision stays yours.

**Multiple floors, honestly linked**
Connect two levels through a stairwell and orient both plans in a shared frame. The app states plainly what was measured and what you confirmed by hand — it never claims precision it doesn't have.

**Export and sharing**
A complete ZIP (data, dimensioned PDF plans, photos, installer report) plus a lightweight web page your client opens in a browser without installing anything. You choose what leaves the device: photos, address, location, notes — each with its own switch. Location off means location gone, including inside the photo metadata.

**Works offline**
Surveying, review, plans and ZIP export all work with no network. Online sharing is optional.

3D scanning requires a LiDAR-equipped device (iPhone 12 Pro or later, iPad Pro 2020 or later). On other devices you can still create properties, take photos, import a project and export — but not produce a 3D scan.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.5.0 — 2026-08-18

The property page now tells its story — and the app goes easy on your battery:

• History built to last years: the page shows the last 3 days plus permanent milestones (first LiDAR survey per level, first export); "See all N activity days" opens the full month-by-month archive.
• Before/after pairs side by side in the history — changes read at a glance.
• New "Counts" screen: the scan proposes what it detected (bedrooms, bathrooms), you confirm the official numbers. Exports keep both layers, never blended.
• Richer exports: each zone lists its detected rooms (kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms) with their position on the plan.
• On Mac and iPad: bigger plans and 3D model, scroll-wheel zoom, buttons clickable across their whole surface.
• Battery: the 3D model sleeps when nothing moves, GPS turns off as soon as a position is acquired, thumbnails are cached — cooler in hand, longer in the field.
• Importing a project now carries the corrected 3D model — exporting from an imported copy works.

### 2.4.2 — 2026-07-31

Linked multi-floor plans — connect two levels through a stairwell, then orient both plans in a shared frame. The app's plans, the PDFs, the installer report and the shared page all use the same confirmed orientation and name the destination ("↑ To the 2nd floor"). The app always distinguishes what was measured from what you confirmed by hand.

Safer sharing — a photo shared without location keeps no coordinates at all, including in its metadata. An interrupted export no longer leaves an incomplete file behind.

Completed English interface, plus various stability fixes.

### 2.3.0 — 2026-07-20

Shares that update instead of piling up:

• A share link is now updatable: re-sharing the same property updates the existing link (same files, same URL) instead of creating a new one. Only what actually changed is re-sent — fewer transfers, no duplicates.
• A clearer "Active links" screen to find, copy, update or deactivate a share at a glance.
• Accurate GPS privacy: the public page correctly states whether a precise location is included, according to the scope you chose — and never shows coordinates.
• "Before / After" mode: the same zoom controls as the camera (0.5× / 1× / 2× / 5× and pinch), and a re-shoot opens automatically at the original photo's zoom for identical framing.

### 2.1.0 — 2026-07-17

• Share a project like a photo: send a link through Messages — the receiver taps it and Atlas Scanner opens straight on the import (without the app: a page with the App Store and a download)
• "For your AI agent": an instruction + link to paste into ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or your assistant — it understands the property (rooms, measurements, equipment, evidence, limitations) even without downloading anything
• Active links: disable a shared link in one tap or mint a fresh one — your files stay in your Drive
• Background Google Drive upload with live progress: leave the app, a notification tells you when it's ready to send
• Import a received scan: link, ZIP file (AirDrop, Files) or project file — update or copy, your choice
• In towers: declare your unit in one tap; the barometer detects floor changes and suggests the right-floor unit (floor heights from your measured ceilings)
• Detected rooms (bedroom, kitchen, bathroom…) appear in the 3D model
• The ZIP ships the presentation-styled 3D model alongside the raw scan
• Feet ⇄ meters in one gesture, tower floors up to the 60th, live export steps, tappable proof photos

### 2.0.0 — 2026-07-15

• Quick photo: from the home screen, snap a photo — it files itself into the right property using GPS (one question only when a building has several units)
• "To sort" inbox: location-less photos wait, sort in batches, swipe to delete
• Before / After: overlay an existing photo translucently on the live camera (like a layer), realign and shoot — pairs appear side by side in the PDF
• Per-property History tab: scans, visit photos and exports, all dated
• Google Drive backup: one button sends the export to your Drive (folders per property and date)
• Property GPS position captured automatically in the background
• Siri & Shortcuts: "Take a quick photo", "Open a property", "How many properties"
• Timestamped photo names; direct share of a fullscreen photo
• Redesigned 3D view: Presentation mode — sober materials, real wall openings, refined furniture oriented naturally (bed head to the wall, chairs facing the table)
• Share the 3D model: the file opens natively on iPhone, iPad and Mac
