## What is Aangan?

Aangan Stories — the most beautiful Indian storytelling app for kids.

Aangan means the courtyard where a grandmother tells stories, and that's the feeling we built: warm, gentle tales from India — Panchatantra fables and Krishna stories, hand-illustrated and read aloud in a soft voice, made for the youngest listeners (ages 3–6).

But these aren't ordinary storybooks. In every tale, your child chooses the path. Should the clever crow drop in a pebble, or fly off to find a stream? Tap to decide, and the story follows — the Indian tales app where your kid chooses the path, and every path ends happily.

WHAT'S INSIDE
• 33 illustrated stories — Panchatantra fables like The Thirsty Crow, The Lion and the Mouse, and The Hare and the Tortoise, plus Krishna tales like The Butter Thief and The Peacock Feather
• Warm narration on every page, so pre-readers can enjoy them alone
• Gentle branching choices that make each read feel new
• A little lesson at the end of every story
• Beautiful hand-crafted paper-cut art
• Works completely offline — no ads, no accounts, no sign-in

YOURS TO KEEP — NO SUBSCRIPTION
Seven stories are free forever. Unlock the full collection with a single one-time purchase — and once unlocked, the stories are yours forever. No monthly subscription drama, ever.

SAFE BY DESIGN
Nothing is collected, tracked, or shared. A parental gate protects every purchase, and there are no links out or third parties.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.3 — 2026-08-23

The courtyard has grown! Thirteen Krishna stories join the shelf — from The Butter Thief to The Moon in a Pot — each fully illustrated and warmly narrated. Two of them are free to enjoy.

Also new:
- Story titles under every cover, so it's easy to find tonight's favorite
- A peek at what's coming next to the courtyard
- Little fixes for smoother story time

### 1.2 — 2026-08-07

Aangan Stories has a beautiful new look, inside and out.

- A warm new home screen with Tonight's Pick and easy browsing by collection
- Every illustration now shows whole while you read - nothing gets cropped away
- Tap the heart to keep your child's favorite stories close
- A lovelier ending page that shows the path your child chose, with the story's little lesson
- Refreshed choice screens and settings, and lots of polish on iPhone and iPad

### 1.1 — 2026-08-05

Two little upgrades parents asked for, and a fresh opening tale:

• Autoplay — flip one switch in Settings and the story reads itself, turning its own pages so little ones can simply watch and listen. Choosing the path at a fork is still always your child's tap.
• Bedtime reminder — an optional, gentle nudge each evening at a time you choose. Set entirely on your device; never anything else.
• The Hare and the Tortoise now opens the library, free for every family.

Sweet dreams and happy choosing!
