### 3/5 — I only see English, French, and German in “change language” options

*2021-09-17*

Where are all other languages?

### 3/5 — It's ok

*2019-03-24*

Not every function works but it's okay.

### 4/5 — Great

*2013-09-05, version 4.2*

Love the app, customize and add your own! Great for speech therapy!!!

### 2/5 — Good idea

*2013-08-26*

I would have given it 5 stars if it weren't for the confusion it causes when 2 images are the correct answer, yet it tells you are wrong when not choosing the preset one.
Great images. I loved the fact that you can add your own pictures.

### 3/5 — Good start, but .....

*2013-08-02*

When in game mode it will ask your child to identify which of these 4 pics is ie 'excited'. Many times there will be two pictures that had been identified as 'excited' by the app earlier on. For my son who has a photographic memory, he realizes that this inconsistency repeats itself throughout the game with just about every emotion. For a child struggling to place a meaning on a facial display this is nothing more than frustrating and confusing. Perhaps with more customization this will go away, but this is a fundamental flaw. You cannot insert MORE confusion into an already confused world. Please straighten this out. Your work is to be applauded and you are giving this app away, so your heart is in the right place. Keep moving forward!

### 4/5 — Good learning tool

*2013-02-21, version 4.2*

Can be frustrating for kids who want a yes no answer, but we use it as a learning tool in therapy to show that emotions are not easy and that sometimes you have to look passed the face. Good learning tool for language expansion.

### 5/5 — Well thought out

*2013-01-14*

Easy to use, comprehensive, educational app, thanks for making this free.

### 4/5 — Well made and customisable with your own family photos!

*2013-01-07, version 4.2*

Well made app which allows user to customise flashcards with their own child's or family member's photos. Teaches children with social and emotional regulation and recognition problems with ease!

### 2/5 — Needs work

*2012-12-05, version 4.2*

This app needs work. Each picture on game mode may have 2 of same terms (ie. happy) but only one will be counted correct. Very frustrating for student and slp.......needs to address this for this to be an effective app....disappointing.

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2012-11-14*

I have two kids with special needs who need practice learning to read emotions and this app really helps. I also have a baby and we have used this app to make our own flash cards to teach her new words. All around a super great tool!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Bad purchase

*2025-03-24*

App worked completely fine for the first couple of month, after 4 month the app completely stop working and I paid for it. Do not recommend.

### 1/5 — Only emotion flash cards.

*2023-11-18*

I thought it would be a bunch of flash cards. It’s just a bunch of emotions. Most words I never even use.

### 1/5 — This is junk

*2022-07-03*

Refund, misleading five year olds can’t understand these

### 1/5 — Not What I Expected

*2021-09-13*

It’s just random pictures (not very diverse ones) and audio of descriptive emotion words...that can be interpreted or read differently than described. Unfortunately not helpful in trying to help a child on the spectrum understand reading/ understanding emotions as recommended. How can I get a refund?

### 1/5 — Not working

*2020-11-11*

Cannot open. Crashes.

### 1/5 — No mic unable record

*2016-03-28, version 4.2*

Unable to record the voice ...my iPad works perfect but this app
I need a refund

### 1/5 — Don't buy this version

*2016-01-30, version 4.2*

TO GET 99.9:(

### 1/5 — simple and effective

*2015-09-16, version 4.2*

Pictures don't make sense. Vague emotions with very vague pictures. No use in trying to teach emotions if you're not going to accurately show the faces. Don't waste the bandwidth on this.

### 1/5 — The recording voice doesn't work.

*2015-02-15, version 4.2*

I make my own cards,
I can't record my voice.
Sorry, it's not working.

### 1/5 — Recording does not work in ipad4

*2015-01-08, version 4.2*

We like some support on enabling microphone to record. When I click on record it shows up like it is recording in background but nothing records

### 5/5 — Great App to use with small children

*2013-01-28, version 4.2*

I just downloaded this and am very pleased with it. As a counselor who works predominately with small children, this will be a great tool to teach them to specifically identify basic emotions. I'm very happy to have found this!
